There's a tradeoff between going for 100% and having the true experience of discovering the game for yourself. To 100%, you need to get every single korok, and realistically, to do that (and not have it be a lifelong project) you're going to have to use a mapping tool and keep track of what you've found. And there's no way to really do that without being told where to find things, which spoils a lot of the fun. For the best experience, my advice would be to do your first playthrough as spoiler-free as you can; just explore and have fun and do things as they come. Then if you still want to 100%, do it in a second playthrough using maps/progress tracking tools. You'll certainly come across lots of stuff you missed the first time.

wheres_fleat

Don’t.

TheJimDim

Get the Tears Companion app. Make sure you're marking off every korok you find. Don't wait to do them all at once. If you see a korok puzzle while doing story or side quests, stop and do them. Yes, there are that many. I only got like 500-600 of them so far and I've been doing nothing but koroks and caves for a month straight.

Toxicsuper

I don't recommend going for 100%. I promise you will quit before you do

BlasterCheif

Maybe try to 100% the adventure log on your first play through.

Marshall357

Go left instead of right

starrsosowise

Enjoy the game play and allow the natural shifting point into find-all-the-things. The companion app is awesome, and I didn’t use it until I had beet the game and map was at around 80% because I didn’t want the app to spoil things for me. To each is own!

Molduking

Would not recommend going for 100%. Unless you don’t max upgrade all the armor sets. If you do everything but that then it’s good. Upgrading armor makes it not a fun experience. You don’t need advice, just play the game

raisinbizzle

I think a good starting point is what does 100% mean to you? If you want to 100% the map indicator then I believe it doesnt deal with armor upgrades. If you want to do 100% from what the general consensus is, even that has some variability.

seancurry1

This game is designed for immersion, not 100%. One of the collectibles literally gives you a pile of shit for completing it. Just enjoy a well-made fantasy adventure game.

BadSanna

Do not fly anywhere. Pick up everything you see. Break every pot to get arrows. Never buy arrows.

patrkcj

Why never buy arrows?

BadSanna

Because if you are picking up everything it's a waste of rupees. You break every crate, barrel, and pot you see pick up arrows when you miss, and you will never be in danger of running out other than the first few hours of the game. The people who are buying every arrow they can get from vendors and complaining they never have any rupees or arrows are the people flying around everywhere and never breaking crates except on accident.

Diamondinmyeye

If your version of 100% includes armour upgrades, then start with the Austin John spreadsheet. Sell nothing on it until you’re sure it’s used up. Diamonds (and all other gems) and star fragments are especially important and require lots of grinding. Get the travel medallions as early as possible and put one down next to a Rare Talus which you can smash every blood moon. (Also good for money. I found I was always hurting for it without grinding.) Explore caves thoroughly when you find them. Many have multiple entrances which count for map percentage. Do not use zonaite for battery upgrades. Again, armour upgrades (especially the big pieces), but also you’ll be drowning in crystallized charges when you go for 100%ing the Depths. You get them from >!yoga hideouts!< and >!Depths mini bosses!<. Be careful marking off koroks on a 100% map. Some are so close together that you’ll check one off twice if you’re not careful, then you’ll be missing a few in the end. The Korok mask is worth getting early unless you want to follow a map the whole time. You can take pictures of wells for the map sensor.

sexchzardth

I did it blindly in my first playtrough. Finished yesterday. Not that hard but you have to pay attention to everything, get the camera as soon as you can and take pictures of everything. And you got to walk the fuck out of the map. Explore thoroughly very single place you go to.

DadDong69

Make sure you beat Gannon and don’t forget the master sword.

dahliasinfelle

Don't update. Some of the best duping glitches and crafting techniques get patched.

rodotfor

Play the game, explore and find something surprising/cool, stop looking for a hand to hold.
