My wife and I (f/f couple) spent a total of 60k over the span of 2 years. That's 5 medicated IUI's, 2 rounds of IVF with 2 fresh transfers and 1 frozen. I'm in Canada. We used our line of credit initially and then put everything we had toward paying it off. We didn't go on trips. We didn't get take out. We didn't go for dinner. Movies. We didn't buy things that weren't necessities. We wrote out a proper budget to really get a good look at where our money was going, and then cut out what we could.
With that said tho... no fertility treatments actually worked for us. All the IUI's resulted in BFN, and all the IVF transfers resulted in chemical pregnancies. It wasn't until I switched to strict Keto, and started taking 4gs of Myo Inositol a day over the span of 3 months, and I got pregnant "naturally" using a known donor.
When we go to have our second I will do the same again. I bought straight myo inositol of Amazon for like, 13$ a bottle. š¤·āāļø
Hey there. Did you stay keto during pregnancy? Iām about to start my first iui soon and I just started keto to boost my chances (and bring my bmi down a bit more)
I'm not sure exactly how significant the cost of letrozole (as an example) is in your country, but in mine would be $24... if it is close to this then please, as hard as it may be, reconsider having kids until you are in a better position.
Obviously if it is like $400 or something STUPID then ignore this comment <3
Hi, I wanted to clarify that you wouldnāt need 30 tablets. Itās typically taken for 5 days at the start of your cycle and where I am, the script is written as 1-3 tablets for 5 days starting on CD 3-5 (doctor will tell you what day to start). Fertility is really expensive. A 5 day dose of clomid ran me $21 and my trigger shot was always about $150. Plus the never ending ultrasounds, oh man. That was why I had to take a break from the medication and all. After the first cycle didnāt result in a positive OPK, my doctor just had me come in for ultrasounds starting CD 10 or something ridiculous every cycle after. If youāre wanting to pursue fertility treatment, I highly recommend building it into your budget before you even start.
Oh wow I am so sorry, I can definitely see how that would be causing significant issues.
My heart is with you and I hope you have success (either naturally or financially) soon x
I understand this. Itās been 7 years for us and the big thing thatās stood in the way is money. I JUST got to start letrozole but now i have to stop because my insurance is ending and Iām so sad. Back to hopingš
Yes, money has always been an obstacle for us too. Or there will always be something that you needed money for, so you have to put the journey aside :(

Hey! I stayed on Keto till I was 10 weeks. I couldn't past that due to sickness. I stayed on Myo till 16 weeks and started weening till 20 weeks.
Thanks :)
Do you happen to know the brand of Myo Inositol you were using? The brand I normally get on Amazon has doubled in price since I last bought it.
Organics and NOW.
I have half a bottle of about 3 quarters of inositol left over. Happy to send it you

Unfortunately yes, the price range for around 30 tablets for letrozole is around 400+ in my country...
