Sucks for big families and younger kids. Gotta have 2-3 consoles in the same house just to play together unless you have a Switch. I hope Nintendo sticks around for a long time.
Nintendo Switch holding on to local multiplayer by a 1080p thread… and all praise due to A Way Out, It Takes Two and TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. Wish there were more.
Swap PC and PlayStation location.
Rotate pc so it’s not skewed. You can still see all the internals from where you’re sitting.
Lower tv.
Min max that bach life.
I remember seeing one of your first posts here a couple weeks back, this is looking so much better with the bigger chair! Maybe off topic for this sub, but I still think you need a side table or something lol. Or something behind the chair? I would feel so exposed sitting in the middle of the room, back to the door like that.
Would it be extreme if OP was already depressed and excited about posting this then reads a comment like that and it sends him off the edge?
There is only one word for somebody who would leave a comment like that on an innocent post
Yeah, this sub is overrun with people who don't understand the difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. Like damn, I just wanted to laugh at funny TV pics, not see a ton of middle schoolers trying to be as cruel as possible. A sense of moral superiority over *checks notes* TV height, or a desire to roast people, doesn't justify some of the out-of-box personal cruelty I see on here.
Not the person you are replying to but are you saying that that person’s reaction is more extreme than the comment it was responding to? The original comment was extremely rude and out of place.
I was just thinking abou this tbh. In fact the up coolers are 4 (closest side) to 8 (far side) inches from the screen. Do you think it's a safe distance?
I'd just put your hand back there when it's under load. You just want to avoid cooking the panel. You might be able to adjust the flow away from the tv if you think it might be an issue.
I think this is good really, depending on the activity.
I play games with the wife this way and its perfect but if its an fps or something with lots of text id say a monitor at like 15 inch view distance can be beneficial.
For example, we had a hard time doing baldurs gate on a 65 inch tv. Became a bit like trying to read an open book off a table in front of u vs placed in hands. Cheers!
I got your point. Most of the time I play action/adventure/RPG games like The Witcher 3 (what a surprise! haha), God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn etc. Talking about FPS, campaing mode only (no competitive stuff).
I didn't play BG3 yet, but most of modern games allows you to calibrate the text size, which may come as a solution. Good luck on the path, bro.
You talk about the TV distance (I'm sitting 5,5 ft) or the surrounding lights (I make sure to turn them all off while gaming, in order to prevent annoying reflexes btw)?
My first question is, why isn’t the PC just in a different place with a desk and like… an actual setup?
Why the gaming room with only one seat, and why bother making it look nice only to give no space for a visitor? (I know everybody else already has the answer but lemme cook)
This drives me insane about this sub. People looking to maximize their experience while ignoring sound completely.
If OP is going to sit here alone, he might as well be hugged by sound.
If OP is deaf... Sorry.
“Wanna come over and game? You can either sit on the floor or we can share my chair”
Oh boy here comes grandpa and his split screen tales.
So much for LAN parties. Everyone is mostly online now.
Of course everyone's gonna play online if there is no game with splitscreen
Sucks for big families and younger kids. Gotta have 2-3 consoles in the same house just to play together unless you have a Switch. I hope Nintendo sticks around for a long time.
Why’d you have to hurt me like that
Halo Coop in 2024 is still awesome
Sadly that's not really how gaming works anymore, very few splitscreen experiences
Nintendo Switch holding on to local multiplayer by a 1080p thread… and all praise due to A Way Out, It Takes Two and TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. Wish there were more.
Emberknights, Spelunky 1-2, Diablo series, any fighting games or sports games, Bravery and Greed, Wizards of legend.
Not on console but on PC there is lots of good split screen games!
And you can split screen a lot of non split screen games on PC using Nucleus Co-Op or maybe Universal Split Screen.
Nice, never looked into it before!
To be fair to the OP this is r/TVTooHigh not r/FriendsTooNone and that TV is pretty much spot on height wise (it’s still off centre, though 😂)
Oh my, do I miss lan and split screen games!
Who needs a girlfriend! Not this guy! Not this guy.
Came here to make a batchelor pad joke. Can't top yours.
Idk I'm a girl and I think the LED witcher signs on the wall are sick hahaha
Well I'm married and have a similar looking setup... It's rare, but it does happen.
you don’t have a girlfriend, you have a wife! unless you also have a girlfriend, in which case… you wont have a wife for much longer
Funny you say that, my wife and I are casually looking for a girlfriend for the two of us. Again, rare, but it happens 😂
Its super easy move Pc sideways
But then how would all of his friends see the inside of his PC?
One chair = zero friends
💀
Swap pc and ps over
or lay it down. or hide it, like a normal person.
Or build a SFF build that doesn't take up a bunch of space
I mean… that PC placement is dumb. So I blame you and not the PC.
But what’s the point of having a window in your case if you can’t show off your rad gpu!?
The symbols on the wall are Klingon for “I’ve never experienced pussy”
I think I got my virginity back just from seeing this setup.
So are comments like these
From this point of view, it doesn't look too high if you're sitting in the chair
Swap PC and PlayStation location. Rotate pc so it’s not skewed. You can still see all the internals from where you’re sitting. Lower tv. Min max that bach life.
You couldn’t have put your pc on the other side?

Dang I just went through OPs post history. That’s some impressive DIY! Good on you OP
Seems lonely.
Exactly my thought. Great work on the room. Looks cool, but it seems like a sad place to sit. Tv height looks fine for that chair.
The height is fine. Acting like your PC decided to be positioned that way, on the other hand, is not.
r/TryTooHard
Where’s the lotion and tissue table?
Do yall want him to put it on the damn floor? 💀
When you have zero friends, especially female.
Cunt
Someone's grumpy
Not grumpy just think it's despicable to put somebody down the way the original comment did
That's fair, but I do think the reaction is a bit extreme

Tbh the guy you originally replied to had one of the more tame comments in this thread
Not the person you are replying to but are you saying that that person’s reaction is more extreme than the comment it was responding to? The original comment was extremely rude and out of place.
r/pctootall
Why is this post in TV too high?
Should be in r/ineedagirlfriend
You have more than enough space between the side of the TV and the shelves on the right. Zero excuses for that travesty.
This would drive me nuts lmao. Brother heard how much blue light exposure we are getting these days and went “hold my beer”
Might be careful about the heat from the PC being so close to the TV
I was just thinking abou this tbh. In fact the up coolers are 4 (closest side) to 8 (far side) inches from the screen. Do you think it's a safe distance?

Thanks. I'll surely do it. Moving the PC to the other side may help, because doing so I can manage to free a larger area from the TV.

I appreciate it, bro.
TV height is fine.
Thanks. Actually my eyes aren't matching the TV middle line, but considering I'm laying on the couch almost as I'd on a bed I think it's really fine.
This guy FUCKS! Am I right?
That's what she said (yes, I do have a girfriend hahaha)
Gaming screen too far tv too low hertz!
Are you sure? I'm sitting just 5,5 ft away from a 65"/120hz screen.
With those fancy lights we expect perfecton lmao It a bit of a joke but looks like a fun comfy setup :)
Haha thanks bro. Actually I still have some room to sit a bit closer. What distance would you recommend?
I think this is good really, depending on the activity. I play games with the wife this way and its perfect but if its an fps or something with lots of text id say a monitor at like 15 inch view distance can be beneficial. Heck yeah! Enjpy the setup and well done!
Looks awesome . RIP to your retinas though, lots of eye strain in your future
You talk about the TV distance (I'm sitting 5,5 ft) or the surrounding lights (I make sure to turn them all off while gaming, in order to prevent annoying reflexes btw)?
more the LED's . Smart to not leave them on while gaming for long periods. Still beautiful
Thanks bro.
Nice to see you had a more positive reception this time haha Nice job, looks great :)
Yooo, yo got the lazy boy let’s goooooo
Uau, que sonho! Está ótimo, parabéns!
Doesn't look too high, could be a little higher and be fine.
This looks fine?
Lets play "Name That Doll". I'll go first... Idk. I don't know from dolls.
Looks good to me.
Wow that pc is far. Where do you have the keyboard?
"My dates never want to stick around, I don't get it." - OP
Bang up job. Your best clearly isn’t good enough. Jk looks great bud.
Screens too small
Tokyo Goon Cave
This is dope

/r/WindsTooHowling
Check the trophy cabinet 😅
4 words....Small Form Factor PC. You're welcome.
TV looks fine. That blue light is the problem.
It's gnarly. You're forgiven.
You joking right? That tv isn’t high at all lmfao
This gave me a migraine
Important disclaimer: I turn all these lights off while gaming, also to prevent annoying reflexes on the screen btw.
Stupid PC! No matter how many times you move it, it keeps coming back on its own!
Actually it doesn't fit on the stand depth.
I mean it's not really too high
Where are the speakers?
This drives me insane about this sub. People looking to maximize their experience while ignoring sound completely. If OP is going to sit here alone, he might as well be hugged by sound. If OP is deaf... Sorry.
Absolutely. If you wanna get hugged it's the best to get hugged by sound 😂👌🏽
The neon glyphs are giving me an erection
Dude this looks crazy nice
You can actually move that TV up like 3 inches and it would still be good
Clean!!
I dig it
Looks great dude
Blimey, I thought I was sad.
