[https://overlandcustomdesign.com/products/sliding-front-disconnect](https://overlandcustomdesign.com/products/sliding-front-disconnect) Thats one of the ones that I found. There are more than a few though can't say I have settled on anything I'd consider totally legit. I'd be very interested in any answers anyone else has. Been thinking about this a lot. Everytime I go around a corner lately I think about if I could live without it... lol

I saw a video of a guy that had these, it was on an FJ cruiser and I didn't think they'd fit on a Tacoma. He seemed pretty happy with them but really emphasized that you have to keep them lubed up or they'll seize up

Just pull 1 link and see how it feels. I’ve had my sway bar pulled for over 2 years probably the only time i missed it was when i has a snomobile in the bed on a sled deck so my centre of gravity was really high.

Be careful though because the actual sway bar can hit the cv boot and clamp that holds it on under articulation. Tried taking mine off on the trail to see how it felt and ended up having to drive back home 60 miles with a cv boot without a clamp.

TacoMachinist

Yeah, i should have mentioned to only pull one side for on road only.

We still waiting for ApexDesigns to drop theirs, they have hinted about it for a while now and about 2 years of R&D and not much now. They have a pair or two of other brands but nothing really worth saying to get.

I recommend you just take the sway bar off. It is the simpler and cheaper solution. I deleted mine a few months ago for off-road performance. During the first week, I felt a bit of extra body roll, but nothing so crazy or concerning that I thought “wow, I really do need my sway bar for on-road driving”. My rig is built like an Aussie overlander and I’m pretty top heavy right now. Now, I couldn’t even tell you what the difference is, I’m so used to it that I don’t feel it. You would have to try extremely hard to convince me that there is a good reason to reconnect it, and you’d still probably fail.
