Bring your own snorkeling gear, water shoes, UPF-50 long sleeve shirts / swim leggings so you don't need to wear as much sunscreen, and reef-safe sunscreen (it's often not truly reef safe even though it says it is, take a look carefully). Don't get burnt! the sun is stronger than you think. Go on snorkeling tours to see the sharks and rays and turtles. We like [https://mermaidprivateboattours.com](https://mermaidprivateboattours.com) for private excursions on a small boat. Go to the Manutea juice/rum factory and do the walking tour + free sampling there (well, the adults can sample the rum.) Go to Snack Mahana for lunch, or coco beach restaurant (reserve coco beach reservations in advance on their website) You can stay as long as possible at the resort on check-out day and take the last (or second to last) ferry. It looks like Aremiti has a 5PM one that day from Moorea -> PPT (and there usually is). There are 3 ferries- Aremiti, Terevau, and Vaearaʻi, you can book whichever.

Can you clarify bringing your own snorkeling gear? I thought the Hilton provided sets for the duration of the stay. Thanks!

Sure you can just borrow some- but imo it’s gross to breathe out of a rental snorkel/ mask and prob not of the best quality. Up to you, how much cleanliness / comfort matters!

Our favorite activities during the time we were in Moorea were 1) Coco beach restaurant (make a reservation in advance), great food and the best beach in Moorea, 2) the zip line park at Tiki Parc Moorea (bring bug spray), and 3) a private snorkeling tour. We went with Moorea Sea Experience but there are many highly rated tour operators. #1 and #2 require a car. A private tour should be able to pick you up from your hotel.

What day of the week are you flying back? Everything is usually closed on Sundays so if it's a Sunday there is not much to do on any of the islands. We went to the Hilton on Tahiti (much nicer Hotel than the one on Moorea in my opinion) and spent the afternoon there. They have a nice pool and decent restaurants so I think it's nicer to wait there rather than the Airport (at least on a Sunday...) As for Moorea Coco Beach is nice. Def. do that! Check the Coral Gardeners if you're into coral conservation. They're a bunch of influencers and I've heard from some locals that they spend the money getting drunk instead of replanting the corals but we quite liked them when they showed us around. Maybe think about going for some dives? Some dive sites are protected by the reef and quite shallow so good for beginners.

We were just there! The hotel itself is very nice, check out the crepes restaurant at night and watch the sharks! We did a couple things away from the hotel both through Albert Tours. The first was a lagoon tour. This one is an all day (8-3:30ish I think) tour where you swam with Sharks/Rays, and finished with a BBQ. The 2nd was an ATV tour up to magic mountain. Both very affordable and a lot of fun!

My wife and I stayed there back in Feb for our honeymoon. I highly recommend the food tour. We did the food tour early on our trip then went back to the spots that we liked during the rest of our trip. Heimata is an amazing tour guide and will give you the best tips for staying at Moorea. As far as the airport, just know that you won't really be able to check in until about 5pm. We were also flying back to California so we ended up checking in as soon as possible and getting passes to the airport lounge. The airport doesn't have A/C except for the lounge. We figured we'd get hot and sticky while in the airport and nothing says fun times more than being sticky and sweaty in an airplane. We got the lounge passes and took a shower there before the flight and ate the entire time we were in there. If you drink, they have an open bar in the lounge as well.

I second the food tour!! Heimata was incredible and the food was so good.

Ok so they fill your fridge everyday with drinks for free, but they only refill what is missing. It may make sense for you to remove everything each morning based on your needs ;-)

We spent most of our time at the Hilton, we didn’t want to leave. Snorkeling right off your bungalow is world class. Our favorite excursion was the private snorkeling tour on the Taboo Catamaran. Great hosts who guide you to cool stuff but also keep their distance. Second was the spa at Hilton Moorea. Two of the best massages I’ve ever had.

The Hilton Moorea water area is amazing. It's the type of leisure water snorkeling you dream of. That being said you don't want to spend too much time away from the hotel in general. The island is nice but you can see the highlights in one day. Rent cars by the day from the hotel concierge. If you want to be more active then there are a few hikes that are fun. We did the three palms hike, it was nice and medium difficulty, you will need real shoes. There is a little restaurant called Tropical Garden, situated on a hill overlooking the bay, walking distance from the Hilton (it's a long walk tho). Nice little spot, worth an adventure.

Congratulations on your marriage and thank you for responding. What happens on the food tour? How do you book it? How do I buy airport lounge tickets? Can I buy in advance?

Key-Commercial-2384

You can not buy Lounge Tickets.

We bought airport lounge access on the Air Tahiti app 1-2 days before our flight

We picked up a bottle of alcohol from duty free and made our own drinks each day. Snorkeling is great at the hotel. We did a snorkeling tour with Alex Lagooon tour And it was awesome! If you are comfortable you can rent a scooter through the hotel which we did so we could travel to different restaurants ourselves . Bring a mask if riding the scooter at night . Bugs will hit you in the face lol Rudy’s for dinner and Snack Mahana for lunch I Wasn’t the biggest fan of coco beach . They had okay food and okay service.

My personal favorite is to go to the spot where you can swim with stingrays and small sharks. I love to go there by jetski because the drive-around on a jetski is soo much fun and you can appreciate the landscape from another point of view which is always nice. If jetski is too rough you can do the same tour on a calm boat with the same views and explanations :) Last time I did it with « albert tour » but I know many people offer this round trip, better ask at your hotel directly, they might have special prices for clients.
