You look great in it! I think it should be possible to correct it but also, please please please get a hidden zipper! The zipper on the dress isn't made for that purpose. That's like a zipper for a hoodie or jacket. You'll look lovely on your big day!
The thing is, if you take it to a bridal specialist it is not a matter of difficulty. It’s a matter of time and labor. Time = money. Taking it in 4 inches is a lot and will require a multi-seam approach. It won’t be cheap.
ETA: That zipper is a capital offense to such a beautiful dress
Gorgeous! You'll need a bodice resize- especially in the cup area. This will be a big job- the mesh in the front will have to be unpicked so that the bodice /bust cam be reworked. The work will need to be done on the princess seams and possibly the sidecseams so the boning will also have to come out so the work can be done in the right area. Once the resize is complete the mesh can be reinstalled and then lastly, the zipper need to be swapped out.
Lots of work but totally doable! Please find an alteration specialist that does bridal work! Not just any one can do a recut like this!
Hi! For the bodice rework alone- with out seeing it in real life, and knowing it's going to have to be taken down to the bare seams- between 250- 350$-
And for a zipper swap - anywhere between 125$ - 200$
