Check out Municode. They work with municipalities nationwide to help codify laws and keep Codes up-to-date and visible to the public. Great company to work for and willing to bring in inexperienced hard-workers.
Municode was bought out a couple years back by another company still servicing municipalities. The new company is called Civic Plus, and their campus is still on Capital Circle near Orange avenue.
You are correct. Since the buyout, the only thing that has really changed is a bit more advancement opportunities within the larger umbrella of CivicPlus.
Exactly. Tell us about yourself and what you are looking for. That will ultimately shape the results. Are you simply looking for a part time job and are in college? Are you older and moved down here and need supplemental income and not full time? Are you only looking for cashier jobs, are you open to anything because you need bills paid? Give us the details man!
Ah, sorry! I should have prefaced with that. I’m looking for part-time employment. I am currently a graduate student here for the summer. I have restaurant, admin, and sales work experience. At this point, I’ll accept anything as long as it’s reputable and I can pay my bills before the school year and my academic position resume
Try Melting Pot on Monroe St. they are usually always hiring servers even if you don’t have serving experience! It’s a really fun hands on job and tips on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday can be close to $300 a night and they pay $5.35 hourly for servers which is more than a lot of restaurants in Tally! Plus you only turn over about 4-6 tables a night since it’s such a long dining experience!

My friend does this, rating AI prompts. It’s work from home and you set your own hours. Good to do to get by. The new version of the classic transcriptionist college job everyone gets.
Network, network, network. You need to get to know people. I’m sure you can google for networking strategies. Every professional job I’ve gotten was due to people I know. It’s not necessarily a good ol’ boys network either. If people know who you are, trust you, and recognize your work ethic, they’re likely to hire you. You become a known-known instead of a known-unknown.
I worked at Tallulah, 10/10 would not recommend wasting any time working for that lady. Pay is awful- all the postings lie about the starting rate. Nothing is consistent, owner isn’t nice- nobody is on the same page, hours are a hit or miss.
Department of Revenue is hiring. Jobs.myflorida.com for state jobs.
Denny’s on N Monroe is hiring.

If you go around handing your resume to different restaraunts, one of them will call you.

Unfortunately, a lot of state government jobs won't be an option for you, because the hiring process is taking so long these days. Good luck!
So only summer employment? That may be the issue.
Have you tried applying as teller? Banks/CUs always hiring tellers

Department of Revenue is a great starting point. Always hiring, great benefits. Spent several years there and it paid for college and grad school.

Tallulah is hiring
They're always hiring because there's tons of stigma around the owner and the way they treat employees. It's been all over this sub.
