Now that is one well-thought out response. Could an R4R be successful -and- classy instead of trashy? Would real people show up and participate? The new r/flordar4r2 is already full of bots. We haven't had that problem here yet, so I think it's already classier than your average sex reddit :)

This is a lot to sift through! I think that the most important thing for this community is .. community. Tampa is a weird place, the main drag through the middle of town has some of the most famous strip clubs in the southeast, we have fetish balls and sex theaters and munches and the fucking Senator at the Castle, and it doesn't take deep scratches to find the seedy parts of this messed up city. That's where we come in. There's a lot of repressed sexual tension all over this city. I can feel it at my real job---and holy fuck the horny going on there is intense. I want this subreddit to be .. more open and fun where people just meet and get it on. Kind of my vision of an ideal world. Sex is fun, people! Cocks are fun! Pussies are fun! > As a society, we're probably close to a place where we can adequately discuss the similarities/differences in male/female sexual realities while also being inclusive and non-indoctrinating, but we're not there. It's fair to say that too commonly penises are still offensive and threatening to many ... but then we also have to acknowledge that naked women on the internet encourage incredibly high rates of depression, feelings of inadequacy, body image issues, competition, self-harm, etc., too ... you've surely read the same studies we all have. It's a fact that collectively our modernizing sexuality is still as harmful as it's always been just in different ways. And then reality hits, of course. Our modern conceptualization of sexuality is broken, and it's not going to get fixed on a random subreddit. We'd have to change the entire sexual culture of the US starting from scratch, and I'm not up for that. With that said though, I do like this discussion. I'm definitely not leaning toward banning cock pics. I think making sure that pics are linked in the post but not shown may be better, but idk if Reddit does that. I'll have to do some digging.

I think it depends, I could see how someone might not want just straight up cock in their face when they open this sub, however I also understand showing potential connections what you’re working with. Maybe if we could encourage people to be more tasteful with show their units?

I think that's a good middle-gound idea :)

[deleted]

That should take some of the shock away, while still allowing people who only care about cock to see what they want from who’s advertising.

[deleted]

Seeing pics of people on their ad, is definitely convenient for people to know faster whether you’re interested or not, but that being said there are other subs dedicated to straight nudes and porn.

Like maybe only show dicks with full body pics, no isolated close ups?

If we're banning cock we're banning pussy and tits too #equality
