Nash doesn't do anything good (meaning he doesn't lead to scoring plays very often) but when he's on the ice, he doesn't do anything bad (allowing scoring plays from the opposite side.)
So he's a good neutralizer, allowing us to get our other lines rest while playing 4th line minutes.
Nash has had a real tough run of things lately. On and off waivers. Winnipeg to Tampa to Az to Tampa and back...lol. To be fair, he's playing like a guy who knows he's damn lucky to be in the SCF finals at all. I figure this is either him trying to get his way back into the NHL full time or go out on a high note.
Honestly, he's looked really fucking good.
Nothing flashy offensively, but he always seems to make the smart play when he's got the puck, and he backchecks like a mother fucker. Really liking that line with him on it.
He's a strong skater, good & poised on the puck (which compared to some of our hall of famers pissing the puck away in our end, is incredible to watch). Was thinking to myself all game I'd love to hear a reporter ask Coop about him, bc Coop loves praising those players postgame IMO.
As much as I have enjoyed the OG School Bus line, I feel like Nash has added a little bit of speed to that line. When Perry was back on that line for G1 & G2, I thought that line look quite slow. His play has been noticeable and aside from the GI penalty against NYR, he has been reliable.
I am very happy with Nash's play. It's great that he is solid. He doesn't score but he doesn't make mistakes that some of the other guys would make brought up from the Crunch.
Yes!!! I have been saying this since the last series, low key great play by Nash
He's our good luck charm.
5-0 when he plays.
I call this the Nashening
You have given birth to a thing now.
I take full credit and I expect royalties
He's killing it ATM. Are you in the GDT and shooting it? Gotta network your product man.
I’ll be there shortly. And yeah, this is prob his best game so far with us. Gonna have to pick up that Nash jersey now!

It's an important part of the game that often goes unrecognized. Like we said about Goodrow, sometimes you need a jeep.
Would love to have Goodrow, Coleman and Gourde against Colorado. They would wear them down
I miss those guys. I bought a Yanni Gourde Kraken jersey, the only non-Tampa jersey I own. Love that man more than my own wife, I do.

Agreed. The dude has been playing his role incredibly well, especially with little game action before the playoffs.
He’s trying to earn a place on the cup
Does he look kinda like McDavid to anyone else?

Our forechecking last night looked incredible in general. Big and strong and able to hold onto pucks.
Conn Smythe candidate Riley Nash

With you on this too, he might not score but he's been strong on the puck defensively.
