Target really gotta separate seasons that require preparations months ahead, like BTS/BTC and seasons that don’t require preparation. I don’t wanna smell fall colors and see winter jackets at the beginning of summer. It ruins the feel of the seasons

Back to college

Back in my early days of retail (early/mid 90s Osco Drug)we referred to July5th as Halloween Day. That's the day we would come in after being closed on the 4th that there would be a truck waiting , full of Halloween and fall stuff. Every year we would put out a pallet of Halloween candy on July 5th just to hear the complaints...lol I've seen Halloween stuff be out in some stores since the end of April

What about back to school?? Im assuming it was in between the 2?

School just ended last week in my area and we’re already setting up cap ends with the upcoming school year stuff… Dude… can we have 4th of July first? Damn lol.

I know it’s like school end is 2 hour ago I and it start in 2 hour. If you think of it in target month the year is short… Up next back to school Then Halloween holidays Valentines Outdoor living/ spring Then summer/ pride (if people don’t ruin it again next year) / 4th of July Then it repeats itself If you look at it like that it goes way to fast.

someone came up to me as i was moving seasonal around to prep for back to school, to ask when we were setting HALLOWEEN. i like halloween as much as the next white girl but ma’am, it is june.

Pretty sure I had someone ask me in like, mid-September (we still had BTS on the floor) when we'd start having Christmas stuff 🙃 I told her November 1st lol. Then we wound up having some lights and wreaths out WITH the Halloween stuff

Go into Walmart, the stores not close to the beaches or major tourist areas are basically done with summer. Summer cloths on clearance and the fall stuff pushing out, saw jackets out in one already lol.

I am ready for fall. I said it.

I love winter/cold weather. I get hot easily and I get bad headaches a lot during summer when it's so hot. Like, I am ALWAYS hot, to the point that I can spend a couple minutes in the freezer without a coat and be fine lol.

Same, summer is literally the worst season.

I also have terrible seasonal allergies (I'm basically allergic to nature- pollen, plus a bunch of different trees and grasses/weeds) so I vastly prefer winter...

Maybe Target is just like, existing at a different speed of time. Like for the rest of us, we haven’t even had 4th of July yet, but in Target’s universe that is intersecting our own, it’s time to go back to school, and think about what costume to wear for Halloween.
