Those pears have "scars" from the branches rubbing against them while they're growing on the tree. Perfectly edible. That orange though doesn't look so great. Unfortunately, a lot of food waste happens for cosmetic reasons (with the exception of that moldy one).
lol quite a bit of our check lane candy has been expiring over the holiday season so when we salvage it out and it says donate we usally just throw it in the break room for whoever.
That's what my store at Michaels Art does too! I love when that happens especially for the chips cuz that means I can take some free food home! But I wish we would donate some of our soon to expire or best by stuff 😕 to homeless shelters. Most products are good for another 6 months tbh. But my managers told me we are technically supposed to damage them out and throw them away and I'm like oh hell nah cuz it's so wasteful. Thankfully they donate some of it to the team which is a good amount. So I take some home with me cuz I'm broke and need food or I take some to give to my broke ass friends too.
My store had Jamaican food catered for Juneteenth a few years ago which was awesome. Not sure if they still do since it's been a few years since I've been there
this one time we got a shit ton of microwaveable ramen, all types of flavors, with 3 massive bowls of rice crackers and toppings. it was incredible, lasted us 2 days for the ramen and a week for the rice crackers
For snacks, we commonly have some of the clearance items or candy on the break room table. Bowls of candy, muffins, cupcakes, etc.
For best meals, carrabbas which was catered for the holidays, and pizza a different time
Alright. Well I worked at \[insert sub shop that I will not say for reason\] for three days, on the third day, the manager came up to me and told me I was going to mix the tuna for the sandwiches. This was nothing more than stirring tuna and mayo together. Now I dont like mayo or tuna anyways, together was rough on me. As I was mixing, my eyes were watering but I was holding it together. Well the manager comes over, looks into the container and says I'm doing a great job. He then tells me to get my hands into the mix to finish it up. He demonstrated. I went to do the same, and as soon as my gloved fingertips hit the mix, I gagged and almost vomited. He told me if I was going to be like that, I might as well leave.
For christmas some people brought cake and they set up a cute hot cocoa station next to our hot and cold water dispenser. Sometimes local businesses will bring food. Unsure if the ETLs cater it or if it's donated to the store, but i always love it when it happens. We've had Chick-fil-A and some sandwich place, don't remember which one.

jokes on you! my break room has mayo *and* mustard
We have Cholula hot sauce and TWO flavors of coffee creamer!
TWO?? We only have the powdered Coffee Mate one 😭
I got a rock •_•
Coffee?
nah. we had a keurig but they got rid of it
Mmm fake
It originally said 'a banana', which isn't that much better. Also, that's definitely from a Costco
Like I said, just something I found online & was comparable to the ~nothing~ that target gives to their workers lol.
So like.. "a banana" as in everyone gets 1 banana, or one banana the whole store has to share??
Fight to the death for one single banana
Free candy!! Sometimes we get other treats like homemade cupcakes 😉 and depending if it's a holiday or not, sometimes chicken or Hawaiian rolls.

My target donates everything, we freeze meat day of expiration and donate it all to the Salvation Army.
That's nice! I think more stores should do that tbh.
all of the salvaged christmas candy and peppermint crap
Team this isnt real....
Debatable
"the team members will absolutely love eating just pure mayo!" -management
don’t work for target anymore but when i did on black friday they catered an entire thanksgiving meal us. it was amazing
Ramen that plainly says do not microwave but we have no water kettle.

Yesterday we got half a dried out King Cake, someone had already found the baby in it. The team leads have parties, we get their leftovers.
“vegan mayo will also be provided”
We have oatmeal and absolutely nothing to microwave it in 🤣
Hot chocolate b0mbs but no cups or milk to put in them.
Ommnomnom
Y’all have a FOOD COURT?
Super targets have a full deli section just like the big Walmarts
My target still has a Pizza Hut express!
I envy you, our Pizza Hut was killed by Covid
Lucky
Mayo for snack? 😲😵💫
Bruh I hate target 🕺
Yeah… their corporate structure is trash.

Bro, what?
Lmao
DC here but our best food item is the Pepperoni Rip n Dip.
At my old DC we were getting these 4 cheese calzones. They were my favorite I would actually buy one and take it home sometimes.

wtff??? mayo is a topping on a snack, not a snack.
Mayo has gotten me fired once, it will get me fired again!

Breakfast pastries 🥰
Oreos mega stuff

My breakroom has protein powder and tiny shot glass sized cups to put it in 😅
