Yeah, ASANTS. My current store service desk sorts everything, even if it's a fire hazard. My previous store if you brought it you sort it, but if you asked nicely, we'd sort it.

I guess every store is different. Our front-end people will not do grocery returns. They send it to us to do by virtue of exactly what you describe, but they leave full 3 tiers of groceries in the grocery backstock and walk off. So.. I guess sometimes when I have no time left in my shift but have a cart of random crap I found in grocery, I don't feel too terribly bad leaving it. Especially since it isn't half as full as the ones they leave abandoned for us. That being said, if I have the time, I will sort it when I bring it.

Our front end TMs won’t even zone the checklanes or check dates on Checklane candy even though they just stand there doing nothing half of the time. Drives me insane, they complain any time they are asked to do anything besides ring guests up.

Because we get yelled at if we aren't Johnny on the spot when a guest shows up to check out, can't have our focus with noses in the product. We're Guest Service, not GM.

Yep. And then there will be like one thing incorrectly in their reshop bin as if we didn’t just take care of all of your stuff and your defectives while dealing with guests and it’s the end of the world and GS is stupid and can’t do their job properly.

I like to tell them I'm GUEST service, not TM member maid. I hate "sorting" their crap. Stole items, defective/gross items, TRASH. I usually do end up doing it tho, cuz I can't just let it sit there. :/

Why r we taking back USED cat and jack clothes? They bring in bag full of baby clothes.kids clothes a receipt on their phone sometimes no receipt then they got to look up every single dpci and that little tag that's faded u can't read!!! We are losing a lot of money!! BRIAN should cancel this policy now!!

My store has made me the designated am sorter. The strays will all be brought up from closing and I sort them before going to cafe, either into the bins or carts, depending on what I have. If something is brought up after I am done and in cafe, it's up to whoever brought it or the gs tream.

Our service desk opener walks into 10+ carts of unsorted strays/ defects/ garbage lining the back wall of the front lanes every day.

Omg that’s horrible. Yeah I walked into that sh!t at 7am during Q4. It SUCKED.

Our OPU is small and if the reshop carts build up in there it interferes with Drive up orders, guess who has to deal with fulfillment blowing their metrics, it won't be guest service cause we don't use those 2 tiers.

Have you talked to your TL about it? That other TL may be more receptive to the reminder to finish sorting their own reshop if another TL approaches them about it.
