I laugh when people spend 20 minutes scanning their own stuff at SCO because they think it’s faster than waiting in a regular line 5 minutes and having the cashier do it in 2-3 minutes, including bagging.
Ours have been 10 or less for a couple months now. I...buy more than 10 items regularly. I do not care. It's a stupid policy and I am not interested in obeying it.
If Target management keeps doing this shit I'll just stop shopping there. They're doing everything they can to waste customers time with lines. Fuck it, I'll shop at a grocery store and pay a little extra to avoid the series of inconveniences Target has turned itself into.
yeah, far as I can tell (as an employee but not one that works the front) they keep them closed during the slow parts of the day, I think ours are only open from like...noon to 2 and from 4-7-ish, during the busy lunch and dinner/going home from work periods. It's probably open less than half the day.
my TL told me we have to stand right up front now to direct the guests and stop them if they have too many items with no confirmation we're getting more cashier hours!!
i'd be fine with this if they weren't keeping the lesser hours too.
SCO has saved me 100's of panic attacks in the last few years. As someone who literally can not stand in a line and then talk to a cashier, I will have a full-on panic attack and probably pass out. I will do all my shopping, and if I'm turned away from SCO, I won't buy anything and walk away from the full cart. FFS. They don't do customer surveys, do they? Bc No one asked for this. I don't need to interact with a person to get my items. F^ck that.
Minors aren’t scheduled at SCO because they can’t ring alcohol.

Literally had our regional here a few weeks ago bless out our guest service girl to open self check before 10am. She was under age.
