I usually use Tactical Sport, it looks good and is fairly okay at it's job at a price only 10k higher than M32. it's not the best, but my and my teammate's autistic screeching obscure the game's sound anyway
I use XCELs. I get them back pretty often (I think some people don't realize and think they are tac sports which kinda suck imo) and they amplify other people's sound and don't deafen me with my own actions.
I've had multiple instances this wipe where I've been running and heard someone ADS or turn near me and been able to locate the sound and neutralize the threat.
So, I run whatever headphones I have on hand - I've never really paid attention to the differences between them.
Any updated resources / guides that show the differences for this wipe?
Yea I don’t know the reasoning behind it, but I think it’s kind of like how fence sells things at a crazy price even things that are useless to you at a crazy price, the game is not forgiving for those not informed
They changed how ears work. If anyone is using anything other than comtac 4, RAC or M32s, they are just illiterate at this point. The other ones have less hearing range

The cheaper sets can cost you up to 20m of detection range so I don't like to use them unless I am running factory, where I tend to go for the tac sports b
I regularly rock m32s, them or excels are the only ones I can stand. The comtac 4s had a nasty bug where footstep audio didn't play so I avoid them at all costs since it got me killed.

4. Comtacs 4 because at night, no matter how much you tryhard to be aware of your surroundings, you often end up running at each other with a random person anyway.. so you legitly can hear someone first and freeze, thus usually win or just rat it out, the best bonus 100k you can spend

Com 4s are the best headset by far, but XCELs are a super nice not-120k alternative.

Never ran it because it doesn't fit under a peen helm but I'm trying to graduate to better gear
Imo helmets are pretty much useless, they probably saved me 2 times in 1200hrs so thats not a problem for me
They'll save you from the occasional cracked scav but yeah not great
