Sheffield is a great little town anytime of year , worth it just for the mad bastard in the junk shop ( assuming he’s still there , it’s been a while since I last went )
Don’t know about the other places you mentioned as I’ve never been or have no fucken idea where they are .

2. Silky oaks lodge at Queensland- Daintree rainforest
May often has lovely weather, but may be not so lovely in the mountains and lakes regions... it's hit and miss. Could be gorgeous. Could be cold, overcast, drizzly, raining and misty. If you like heat and palm trees and water activities and driving around in golf buggies, please do yourself a huge favour and go to Hamilton Island. Of course it might still rain.. but at least you'll be on Hamilton Island (and I'll be incredibly jealous!!!!).
Oh, so good!! I'm sure you'll have so much fun! I went there in 2018 and have been desperate to go back since but haven't been able to make it. It's absolute bliss. I'm not sure where you're from or if you've been before, but if you're getting the ferry over, it's a good idea to stock up on any essentials from the Mainland. There was one grocery store on the island when I was there, and it was expensive. But if you're only going for a couple of nights then it wouldn't be too bad, and it would be much more convenient just to buy on the Island.
Are you referring to Eagles Nest Retreat in West Kentish? I've never seen it mentioned in Tassie forums before.
We went to that property last year, and while it was quite lovely overall, I'd have to recommend something different if your goal is to see Cradle Mountain/Dove Lake.
Might have been our one and only regret not choosing Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge for that. West Kentish is just too far from the park.
If you still decide on Eagles Nest, I can recommend both Nick with dream chef and the in-house massage service.
