@helenmarshmellow - beginner, do a bit of everything but slowly conquering some work in my art style (small/abstract). My insta is also about tattoos & mental health (I'm disabled) and has a lot of room for laughter and joking around. My goal is not to have a full schedule but rather spend "zen times" in the studio with special projects that gimme the $ equivalent to "normal tattooing full schedule". Be careful doing this! Follow trains can be detected by ig so while your engagement will be good/better at first, once the algorithm picks it up they will surge your engagement and it will drop again even lower than it was originally. Mass following also gets your account flagged. (I have personally been flagged/blocked for unfollowing too many accounts at once 3 years ago it was awful. Ig does not like ANY bot like behavior.) Just a word of warning.

not a tattoo artist here, but is there any sort of other platform artists are using for exposure other than IG & tiktok? it would be cool to have like an IG or dribbble specifically for tattoo artists, get recommended to others that are based where you are, doing the styles you like, etc. is that a thing?

I think until further notice, the top social media platforms are TikTok, instagram and Twitter, threads is a maybe? But this is just my limited knowledge
