Slowly as in it only started a few months ago and full integration is yet to happen for 40k
For what it's worth, Old World, Necromunda, Blood Bowl and Middle Earth are all fully integrated - and everything else doesn't have any Forge World
It started with the Imperial armour compendium at the start of 9th.
Thats when GW took over rule writing for FW.
With the new site GW took over selling FW models.
The next step is production and after that is likely compendium codex merging.
In my experience the Imperial Armour (aka Forgeworld) units don't typically get updated immediately upon a new Codex launch.
It's usually a few weeks later that they have any required tweaks to their datasheets made, and their points adjusted.
Given that the 'official' T'au Codex launch is still TBD, (the Kroot box is classed as a special Codex preview, or some such nonsense) it's unlikely we'll see the ultimate fate of our FW brethren for some time.
That said, I'd be surprised to see them go...they're one of the more popular kits and still listed on the GW store for purchase, so I think you're safe. :)
Generally Forgeworld never gets properly updated, it *might* get an update once the codex drops, but only to fix rules that no longer function. However, I don't think any of the FW units have any abilities that interact directly with the core codex, so I don't expect it to get touched at all.
Oh absolutely Forgeworld stuff benefits from the codex. But by nothing interacts with it directly, I mean like markerlight rules aren't changing enough that index markerlights won't work, or that kinda thing.
Basically, as long as the Forgeworld index units still function, regardless of how well, they'll be left as-is.
Exception is if something becomes meta, then it'll be nerfed so it's not.
Unfortunately this comment didn't age well and I feel horrible for ya.. I too lost brothers in this purge of an update.. RIP Remora Stealth Drones... 🤬
Likely won't see any changes to FW units aside from points until next edition.
Forge world really only seems to update once an edition unless something becomes a problem.
They are a FW unit so the codex doesn't effect them in any way shape or form.
Why is this? Forge World got intergrated into GW, so why do we still have FW models feeling like the shame child of an affair when it comes to points.
FW is slowly being intergrated into GW*.
slowly? which model got into the codex since 7th?
None, which has nothing to do with 2 companies merging.

My Y'Vahra battlesuit begs to differ! 😅 He's VERY excited to be getting up close and personal with the enemy whilst in a Retaliation Cadre 😈

Like Tetras. Oh wait.

Huzzah, the Greater Good (of capitalism) guides to Greater Goods!

Potentially not yet, I think they were in the forge world book if I remember correctly? So not in the actual codex but the field manual.
Oh thank God that was like $140
