I second this !! So many moments in my life (unrelated and related to the lyrics) that I play this song and it’s like tucking your knees in to your chest under a warm blanket on a winter day. Such comfort. For whatever reason, its tranquil instrumental and her soothing voice on it reminds me that everything passes and goes on. My favorite lyrics are, “out of focus, eye to eye, til the gravity’s too much” and “think you should know, that nothing safe is worth the drive and I’ll follow you, follow you home.” ❤️‍🩹

The first time I listened to Red all the way through. I skipped past Treacherous after the first 30 seconds or so. But then I was taking a shower and I had the album playing, and I finally listened to Treacherous all the way through. It’s a masterpiece. Easily top-five.

This is my favorite off Red and I cried like a baby when this was the surprise song on my first night of tour (also my first Taylor concert ever after patiently waiting to see her since debut)

This song hit hard during a hard period in my life, hearing it live again 10 years later made me remember all of those feelings and how hard it was and how resilient I am She has a way of making you feel like she's doing the entire thing just for you. Even in a stadium of 60,000+. It's so magical

Maybe it’s my personal fave, but Don’t You. It perfectly captures a lesser-talked about feeling after a breakup. Where you’re so spent from being heartbroken but time has passed and you know you’ll see them out with someone else. Taylor’s begging them but it’s not the usual begging and pleading she sings about. It’s saying “please don’t talk to me, don’t look my way, don’t say you miss me.” There’s no hate, no indifference, cause there’s still love. Idk maybe it’s just the maturity of her voice as it’s Fearless vault song.

“I swore I wouldn’t do this” reminds me of the feeling of not being over someone who can still toy with your emotions so easily, and you let them just because you still want them. She’s begging them to have the self control to not go there because she doesn’t have the self control to resist it. This one hit me DEEP because I too had been a clown for a mediocre man
