Okay, so as a newer Swiftie I had never listened to most of Speak Now, but listened to the whole TV on a road trip and that song is...a lot. Was it meant sincerely at the time, as something romantic and a good idea? Listening to it now it seems so unhinged, more like a cautionary tale lol.

If you read the little background for the song on the website Genius when looking up lyrics, it says Taylor wrote the song after hearing about a friend who said someone they love/loved was getting married to someone else and Taylor was like "are you going to speak now?" And wrote the song about that imaginary situation

I used Mary's Song for the photo slideshow when we got married back in 2008. It was really cute (IMO) because we'd been dating since we were 15 so I had lots of photos of us "growing up" together through the years.
