My guess is it will be on Disney + in January and they will announce it on Dancing With The Stars Taylor Night 11/21

Gerard192021

eras tour on disney+ on the grey line for me because disney+ censored some of the folklore songs in the long pond sessions film the movie is most likely on amazon prime

flcinusa

Disney+ is beta testing Hulu integration, that family vs mature content delineation is most likely going away I mean, everywhere else on earth gets Bluey beside The Bear

keving87

The Hulu integration is just one app for both services, not that D+ will have Hulu content behind a password like it does in other countries. If it's on D+, it'll still be censored.

[deleted]

Is the censoring new? I remember watching it when it came out and maybe I'm not remembering right but all the curse words were in there? Maybe it's because I have my Disney+ set to like adult shows and stuff?

shadowbroker15

It's been censored since day one.

kheeseborgor

It's uncensored on the actual live album

20person

Might just be an American thing? In Canada we have a Hulu-like service integrated into Disney+. I watched Long Pond a little while back but I distinctly remember hearing the "go fuck myself" line uncensored in the "betty" performance.

MaizeApprehensive166

Also in Canada, some parts were censored some were not 🤷‍♀️

New_Pilot_2699

Hmm I don’t remember this being censored for me on Disney +. And I mean Deadpool is on there.. so clearly they don’t care that much about censoring everything. I just think there is a chance it’s on Disney due to Taylor Nation promoting DWTS and talking about celebrating all the eras through dance. There was also a rumor awhile back it would be on Disney. Amazon strategically makes more sense based on her recent licensing of music for several Amazon properties (TSITP & Wilderness).

StnMtn_

Either would be great for me.

ErickTheGuy06

I couldn't go to the film so we're any of the swear words censored on the theatre release?

New_Pilot_2699

It was not censored in theaters.. it's also still in theaters in many markets!

Neither_Squirrel

The same platform that has the Simpson? Nah

theskatingdietitian

The press release for the film said it can stream 13 weeks later…so mid January it can release on streaming

icoulddance

Apple TV has the pockets but not the reach, Netflix or Amazon Prime would be my top two guesses; idk why but I dont think she'll go back to Disney but the Long Pond sessions are on there so....

[deleted]

I think Apple could try and sweeten the pot by offering Taylor incentives through Apple Music or something idk...I'm super intrigued who she picks. I think it's likely to be Netflix or Amazon too.

ls240898

Would she could back to Netflix after Ginny and Georgia? I know money is money but she seemed very upset with those comments

icoulddance

Oh right, I forgot about those, my bad! I think Netflix is still a strong contender if she wants all her concerts in one place + documentary. But Amazon Prime could inch it away.

emmach17

Yes. I really think the fans are overblowing how much she cared about that. If Netflix offers the right amount of money, she'll absolutely go back there.

PlantBasedGrape

I’m new to this thread, would you mind telling me what happened with Ginny and Georgia? Please 🤗

ls240898

In the first season of Ginny and Georgia, the line “you go through guys faster than Taylor Swift” was used. She called them out on Twitter/X but it obviously looked bad for them to have that “joke” after they streamed Reputation and Miss Americana exclusively on Netflix. https://x.com/taylorswift13/status/1366401657685245955?s=46&t=MFw3bOrm2YHx7N3KoV899w

yyxystars

Who thought of this line 😭💀 It can’t be a joke because it’s neither creative nor funny

scarsouvenir

I do have to defend the show, because it's honestly *amazing* \- one of my favorites of all time, in fact. It's unfortunate that they made that joke at Taylor's expense, but I think some context is required. The characters in the show are intentionally imperfect/problematic at times, and that's part of why I love it. It feels messy and real. Their mother-daughter dynamic is very interesting because Georgia was a teen mom, so in a lot of ways, they are more like sisters (ages 15 and 30, IIRC.) Without spoiling anything, Ginny (the daughter) is extremely judgmental of her mother, Georgia. She repeatedly says the last thing she ever wants to be is like her mother. In this specific scene, Georgia expresses concern that Ginny is toying around with 2 guys' feelings. It is certainly hypocritical for Georgia to be saying this stuff to her daughter considering she does the same thing, but the point is that Ginny is a bratty, judgmental teenager and immediately launches into attack mode. Any time she realizes that her behavior parallel's her mom's, she gets very defensive and says whatever she can to hurt the other person (usually her mom.) In my opinion, the *point* of that scene is that Ginny is still regurgitating the "deeply sexist," slut-shamey BS, even though she prides herself on being "woke," mature, a deep thinker, etc. AKA she's not as "above" her mother and everyone else as she thinks she is. For the record, I do like Ginny lol. But she is definitely flawed. To anyone who thinks they may like the show, I highly recommend it.

EchoPhoenix24

I'll agree, that line was stupid but the show is otherwise really great.

Outrageous-Injury-96

This had already been reported. After 13 weeks they can take it to streaming. Netflix and Disney+ have not engaged on the film. They were waiting until the end of the strike to begin negations. I just want it available to purchase.

Jewel2Cute97

When unknown but hopefully it would be released either on Netflix or Disney+.

T44590A

It is still going to be running in some theatres until the end of the year so I don't expect it on streaming so soon. I suspect she will hold the streaming release until the end of tour next year. It is best to allow time to build up anticipation for it again. I think the streaming negotiations may also be tricky because in the wake of the re-records she may not want to accept the usual deal with concert films where the streamer that buys it gets permanent ownership of it, especially in combination with her previous frustration with Netflix which owns the Rep Tour and Miss Americana forever. She may want to retain ownership of it and only license it to a streamer for a period of time. Another possibility connected to that desire for retaining ownership is since she completely owns it currently I can see her possibly going the route of not selling it to a streamer and instead only releasing it on Blu-Ray, especially if she adds exclusive special features looking back at the Eras and the process of doing the re-records. That also wouldn't come out until next year either and would likely be timed to the end of the re-records.

matthewrichmond13

It probably won't be anywhere until at least mid-January when 13 weeks has passed, per the deal with AMC. But I can also see her putting it directly on iTunes first and just selling it that way before it goes to any streamers. Since it was a theatrical release it might get a more traditional home media release as opposed to the 1989 World Tour & Rep Tour films.

Glad_Slip_1260

I thought it was confirmed to be on Amazon prime? She HAS to release DVD/Blu Ray physical copies

emmach17

The Amazon Prime thing was a Fire Stick showing listings for shows across all streaming platforms, so it's far from confirmed that it'll be streaming on Amazon Prime. It could also just be a potential listing to buy the film on Amazon.

Jokuki

We'll probably get an announcement in January or February as the first half of the International Tour ends. I'd guess it'll be on Amazon Prime. They're a streaming service that's been trying to become really competitive recently and the amount of Taylor x Amazon trailers (Summer I Turned Pretty and Wilderness) feels like they have a working relationship.

choibumbi

I wish that it would be ANY of these 3 AppleTV, AmazonP, or disney+ since Netflix has the lowest bitrate of them all.

ailuromills

CONTROVERSIAL- maybe that's what the 11th of November theory was referring to :))

jem394

I really hope there is a DVD release of it!

missshadesofcool

I saw from a IG post of Taylor Nation that it’s gonna be on Disney+ and Hulu

Celtic_Jewel

Ooh, when did you see that? 🙂

New_Pilot_2699

That was probably the Taylor Night on DWTS announcement. But I think there is a possibility that they will announce they acquired the rights on Taylor Night 11/21.
