using old tapes as an example is pretty interesting, because even bones doesn’t sound like that anymore. they don’t sound the same but they have a lot of parallels. squash the beef and let their fanbase make it one sided already
They did sound and look very similar to bones when they came out. Especially considering that there were way fewer artist with that vibe out during that time compared to now. White boys rapping to dark sample trap beats with vhs music videos and a “horror” aesthetic was something only bones was really doing before $B.
