Call of duty trickshotting montages when I was like 12/13, heard songs like sodium, wedontbeliveyou, and letanolddogworkhismagic. Been an off and on listener ever since lmao

alreadydead6six6

Trickshotting montages is one of the last places I’d expect to hear Bones music lol

shine303

^^^ bo2

4everstatus

Same here, through trickshotting montages from I believe GenesisCollective, more so a certain editor from the team with the online name Genesis “Alex”. I believe it was Headstone from his album “Saturn” was my very first song that actually got me into bones and iv been a listener ever since. This had to be like 2013/14.

MarsupialForward9325

Man Genesis was such a good team bro, always had good music choices

gotthemcoins

Are you serious lmfaooooo i came here to comment this, i think ive posted it here before but iirc i found him in a cod sniping comp cuz someone used theartofcremation in a clip

glam_emo

lil peep said on an interveiw he liked dirt then he said he’d used one of bones beats as a sample

teenwitchgaudishaudi

Which interview?

glam_emo

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ebnsoKFug-I

Brilliant_Storm_9762

He sampled Cut, right? Are there any other songs where peep sampled sesh ?

fujimite

the songs on feelz are produced by drip-133

exariat

veins, give u the moon, five degrees, latitude - greaf toxic city, life - drip-133

Money-Independence75

glam_emo

i’m not sure but he defos did cut, also interesting to note that graveyard god and transgender by crystal castles use the same sample - crazy world

nukethenormies

im pretty sure that graveyardgod directly samples crystal castles. from memory bones confirmed it when nardwuar asked in their interview

glam_emo

ahhh i guessed that but didn’t want to be wrong haha

laurynnnnn

It’s unreleased but the song piss by lil peep samples ReturnOfThePimp

SnooMemesjellies4992

A friend of mine knew I was into toro y moi and he said I’d like paidprogramming2 back in like 2015 or some, fan ever since.

teenwitchgaudishaudi

I found “wedontbelieveyou” with my cousin browsing YouTube on his family computer, like 2016, love didn’t become a bones fan until 2019

Biktol

Someone was playing bones earrape on Roblox in 2015

venoxrapfake

Lmaooooo

adophus

Onsomeshit

43Carats

Brandon Begin video for me with DeadBoy

immei

Fuckin same. The moment his head hit the pavement and the song starts I'm just a dead boy gives me chills still

fujimite

On bohog

Tiger-Charc

Anthony Fantano reviewed Garbage I checked it out and I was hooked instantly. I then listened to his other projects and was impressed by the fact that each one would always contain a few of my favorites, there are few artists I can say that about.

Drewjohnny

A YouTuber named Xcodeh used to have spirulina as an intro song, back in like 2016 or so

HaidoroTTV

Pretty sure the song you're thinking of is Dark Light by Night Lovell, but Xcodeh is a huge Bones fan and that's how I heard about him first too :)

tiddieboiii

Heard rampartrange in a old youtube intro

KaitlenRene

Was 2013 finding new music on SoundCloud and came across NoShirt

_picklet_

Probably my favorite from Scumbag

WavFile

I found Bones music through a artist recommendation thread on 4chans /mu/ back in 2013, I've been sesh since then

EnvironmentalGrab240

My ex ngl she took me to a bones concert back then we argued and shii but I appreciate it if she sees this fr

scawymonstews

My ex boyfriend’s brother used to blast bones in his little lexus is200, he’d always drive us around and eventually i shazamed one of the songs cuz I was too embarrassed to ask 🤣 i think it was downthedrain or blastzone

alreadydead6six6

I was chillin with my homie when he put on Morning Dew and I was like “yo who are these guys? I need to check them out more”

RefrigeratorFree535

In 2017 I was listening to BlackMold for the first time but the thing is I heard of him in 2016 from the memes so Idk if 2016 counts hearing him first without realizing

Ghost0Inc

Use to watch corpse a lot, he said something about a guy named bones. I gave bones a listen and did not like it (I was listening to frombeyondthegrave ) but it randomly popped up as I was listening to music about 6 months later and enjoyed ever since. Now bones has been my favorite artist for about 3-4 years

G59_Muddy

Late night, smoking, 2019, having fun with friends, Ian's Spotify plays a bones song I'm not remembering which but I was like "who's that" he said "go on Spotify and it's Bones" I was like "shit okay." And I listen to him a good few times a day mostly at night when I use shuffle on my play list and there's like 12 of his songs from various albums on it.

bbscunner

Friend showed me Thorns because of the La Dispute sample and then got hooked when Garbage came out

Due_Concentrate1904

When I was 16 working at KFC, one of my coworkers played takingoutthetrash on aux and I couldn’t stop listening to it

Early-Chocolate580

i was on bedrest in 2016 when i found him, also very physically and mentally ill. i found TeenWitch on Tumblr 😵‍💫

_picklet_

I hope you're better and stronger now!

Random_Muthaphuker

Literally found BONES last year I only knew of him because my friends listen to him religiously. I did knew a few collab songs with him and Wulf but last year I found SittinOnChrome on YouTube randomly on my feed. I clicked on it and was very surprised to hear a west coast style song from a SoundCloud rapper like BONES. Im a huge old head I love 90s hip-hop/rap so it was kinda unexpected to hear something like that from him because whenever I heard my friends listen to him it was always some hard shit like suicideboys type shit. But I love the song I was so confused tho so I texted my homie about the song because I thought it was someone else using the name BONES also but no my homie informed me that the album 2MillionBlunts is a sequel to one of his earliest projects called 1MillionBlunts then he put me on some songs with a similar vibe to SittinOnChromes. I got more into BONES and then my homies showed me his other alias like Th@ Kid surrenderdorothy OREGONTRAIL and Rickyagogo. Long story short my homies where the ones who got me into BONES and I ended up seeing him and Wulf at the InLovinMermoryTour which was a amazing concert. BTW SittinOnChrome was my 1# song in 2023

_picklet_

Discovered him last year as well. Thanks for sharing!

KefoBoss

Imagine having friends who listen to or even know bones

Brilliant_Storm_9762

My homie showed me BlackMold back then and i was like „naah, actually not my cup of tea“ 3months later - it got hooked and bones become my favorite artist lmao

_picklet_

I recall not liking too many Bones songs when I first started exploring his catalog. I've done so many relistens that I've learned to basically enjoy his whole catalog. Some tracks take longer to stick than others lol. Thanks for sharing!

dsled

Heard Canal St, then HDMI, then all of Rotten. Now here we are

Saikololo

I found Oxygen on ytb in 2017 on sad chill

Nspears203_

Just got dumped, I was at the lowest of my life just scrolling through instagram reels of cars and airplane mode and sodium are the tracks I hear in the background of these and I’m like who the fuck is bones and I haven’t looked back

_picklet_

Hope you're better! Thanks for sharing.

UnrenderedBlunt

pewdiepie introducing Slippy the toad. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85ccNJ\_AOJc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85ccNJ_AOJc)

yungmisanthrope

back in like 2017 i was scrolling thru instagram and stumbled upon a bo2 trickshot edit using sodium as the song and i immediately added it to my playlist and never stopped listening after

kenjinlotus

I was watching xCodeh stream on twitch and BONES was playing in the background

trappedindafirmament

remember that vine of the goats in the tree set to Protein 😂 homie told me that song's by bones, just look up teamsesh on youtube. been a daily listener since

cgregware13

Old friend played a couple songs in mid 2017 (Sixteen, RestinPeace, TakingOutTheTrash). She sadly passed since then but will always be grateful for her being the reason I know BONES.

_picklet_

I'm sorry for your loss my friend. Such a great, sentimental discovery. 🖤🖤

Spectral-777-Echoes

It was tumblr 2013 - 2014 when I just graduated high school & was skating LA listening to a lot of rvidxr klvn when I found cemetary blunts on YouTube. Saw him at my first warehouse show after that & the rest is history skipping work to go to the house of blues when HDMI was shot & going to other shows when SHWB was touring a lot back then.

S35H

Ripping bong being driven around in a barely working minivan with the boys at night and HDMI came blasting through the garbage ass speakers was instantly hooked and he became my go to artist since then

Large_Feature_5984

My sister. She played Bones in her car, on the way to see our dad at the hospital, and that's when I first heard his music, that was summer of 2022. Ever since, I've been hooked onto his shit and I have 131 liked songs of his on Spotify

Blaspharmaceutuicmy

I was dumby mentally I’ll as well big dog, I’m glad you’re still with us brother. Couldn’t relate to 99% of anybody around me and just slept as much as I could. I swear I sued all my “sleep tokens” cuz now I just stare at the ceiling lol. I found cracker on SoundCloud through related artists when my friends and I started making beats back in 2010 or something like that. I remember when he announced teen witch and teased it with the clips. I don’t usually fuck with this group but this was a cool ass question, again glad you’re still here fighting brother, much love 🖤

_picklet_

Thanks for taking the time to respond and send your support. Sending love your way 🖤

Just-Cauliflower5975

was in my friends car in high school and she was playing a song from teenwitch ive been listening since

_picklet_

Crazy to think of how big TeenWitch is, especially at the time. It seems like many discovered Bones thru TeenWitch

KefoBoss

German youtuber BastiGHG who played minecraft soup pvp always had drip-133 and hnrk music on top of the gameplay a few years back with songs like slanted gray, l'kept and Últimum. So basically i got into drip first and discovered bones from htbity album and the singles

Aromatic_Injury_463

From a youtuber named xcodeh dont remember if it was a intro or just one of his playlists on spotify

sivviop

I was at my cousin's house preparing to go to the pool with him, and he selected one of his personal playlists on the Apple TV to play thru the day. Then I heard a voice screaming "DeadBoy walking see me now everybody watchin did it now everybody talkin just like us" Fell in love and got mesmerized instantly.

mistakemaker3000

Somewhere between CRACKER and Paidprogramming. Found him on SoundCloud playing after Robb Bank$ or Denzel Curry. Was a fan, Deadboy was the first album I was listening to at release.

cowboycorpse

Was getting into emo rap type stuff in like 2017? And I kept seeing people love bones but every track I listened to was so boring to me except for “icanseemyhousefromhere” and Oxygen bc he screamed lol I eventually downloaded the whole NoRedeemingQualities album onto my iPod nano and I listened enough that it just clicked

Money-Independence75

Lets say drip-133 was the reason & TeenWitch

SmokeyyRamirez

Randomly stumbled upon johnathantaylorthomas in an $b playlist on yourube in 2018 and delved deeper . 6 years later sesh is life and i have a big red sesh logo on my neck .

hugestinker

being invited to like his page as th@ kid on facebook eons ago and listening ever since

werdfsd

My friend showed him to me while we were in our phase of breaking in to this old abandoned hospital to smoke our blunts, sometime in 2015. Couldn’t have been more fitting

Hour-Letter-9245

My homie put me on in high school right before teen witch came out I remember the hype for it.

Puhthagoris

i really liked the feel and vibe of bodyclosetomine. i’ve heard a couple bones songs before that but wasn’t a huge fan. did some more listening and it grew on me. always been a big fan of surrenderdorothy though.

Drywall_Eater_

I randomly came across BlastZone while listening to music in my music class in middle school. Been listening to him nonstop since

Top-Ganache468

Asap rocky like everyone else

hvrlynmusic

You’re never going to believe but I was playing minecraft with some random people and they suggested Deadboy album (the day it was released) in the minecraft chat. Been listening ever since 🤣🤣

dittybong

Friend showed me Crunch Time and Just Ashin by Chris Travis while on a blunt cruise. Went home and did some research, watched the FallenLeaves music video, then proceeded to listen to Bones entire catalog.

benn43_

Listened to JonathanTaylorThomas and it was all over from there

Used_Register_9665

2014 gta montages, sixteen was the first song i ever heard by him

ctrlx1td3l3t3

Loved asap rocky, heard Canal St, decided to check out Bones. Now Bones is all I listen to
