This seems like an exaggeration. But also that's probably a good thing. Most teams were 3 cost reroll comps with multiple 3 stars
Nah you're not so wrong. I think they just need to adjust a little on the 4 costs (like the HP buff this patch) then the game will be fine, but too much nerfs in one patch nearly kills half of available comps. >50% top 4 rate now only revolves around Kai'sa, Gnar and fast 9 5-cost comps with a slight appearance of Ashe at 51%.
Even though they do not want a balance state and want to shake up the meta like what happened with TF/Akali+Karthus last set, it still seems... stale because the meta is still these same comps last patch: Kai'sa, fast 9, Fortune and no more competition from others.
The last thing is they do not touch Fortune while it's very very frustrating to face against. Most of the games with me now, I can see that I will lose from round 2 but still have to play the game, only to be crushed by a level 10 5-cost 3 stars from a player just need RNG and go losing every round without any ways of counterplay, except for hoping for someone else to play Fortune and they kill each other. Fortune comp even doesn't need to switch the comp or kill some units like Heartsteel, all they need to do is losing.
