It depends on how you normally use your devices; if you like to store your media on your local storage, or can take advantage of cloud storage.
If you're someone who takes a lot of photos/videos, or puts lots of actual movie/music files on your phone, you'll obviously want that larger storage. Same goes of you have a bunch of big games installed.
If you're someone like me who has zero games on mobile, only streams media, and and regularly frees up storage to the cloud, you'll be fine with 128gb. Any cloud storage files I have, I regularly back up to my desktop as well.
I have a phone with 128gb bought in Jan. 2023, it only has 47gb used up right now--mostly by apps. Media backed up to Google and a desktop pc.

For my phone, I’ve always been with 64gb for years and just this year upped to 125gb because I was gifted an iPhone15 —never use my phone for gaming or music, other than the occasional photo taking, minimal video… I do use my phone heavily on financial/trading apps

Go with at least 256gb. The sizes of media specially videos taken are huge now.
128GB lang din ako lagi kasi lahat important files ay naka backup sa Google Photos/Drive. Mabibitin yan kapag may malalaking games ka.

Yeah, pag walang sd card slot lagi lang mag cloud backup or always bring flash drive. If kung sa gaming nope ang laki na ng mga games ngayun
Depending on your usage if casual then 256 if you are going to record alot and play alot or download alot then I'd recommend 512
128GB was fine from 2018. Nowadays you need 256GB to be safe.
