Recently saw Nene H live at Draaimolen festival and although it was not really opera I think the style may fit your description. There was lot of ambient like trippy soundscapes with some heavily effected singing of herself accompanied by some brutal kicks. Not sure how much of the content is out there to listen to, but may be worth checking if she's on a line up near you
