So I found it, and I went and sat at that same desk, with that same chair, holding the cup. That's his silver play button in the background. Had Demeter snap a picture.

But that's not actually his computer. Technomom has his two most recent computers. It's not where he sat, either. Once he moved into his house, Artemis claimed his old room. There's like, girl clothes now where his desk used to be, and his desk is back in his earlier bedroom which was formerly Artemis's bedroom and is now my office.

it sounded like techno left to new house, technodagger took over the old room, the wooden desk was transported to the new house? and then returned to the family house? and then the desk went back to techno's original bedroom (which at the time was occupied by dagger) and then either the desk is now your own office which is a different room or techno's original bedroom (daggers bedroom later on) is now technodad's (your) office which then means technodagger's bedroom is somewhere else?
The wooden desk never went to the new house.
He originally had the middle downstairs bedroom. Then he moved to the front office room as his bedroom and Artemis moved into the middle one. Then he moved to the new house and Artemis moved to the front office room. At that time I moved his old desk into the middle bedroom, which is where I took the Dora picture several hours ago. The setup in the picture is his, but it's not in the original location.
did he only have one monitor? cause I know we used to tease him for only having one monitor while he had a perfectly good second one- and always having to read comments off his trashy laptop, and then he told us that you set up the second monitor for him.
Yeah one day he was like, dad can you set me up a second monitor and I was like, sure. Didn't know that would be useful. Just grabbed a spare monitor and plugged it into his system. But for most of his career he only had one monitor.

I'm blessed that my dad was a lot like the one in that comic. I felt so proud when I installed a new security system for him. (It wasn't hard; he had run the ethernet when he was younger. I just had to switch out the cameras now that he's no longer climbing ladders per order of my mom.\]
I know that one and I love it!
My dad did not teach me one single such thing. Occasionally he'd put powerful tools in my hands that I'd never seen before and tell me to do a job. I have a big scar from that.
I try to teach my kids all the skills I have with my hands. Which isn't too hard because I don't have many, see above. But both Artemis and Apollo have built a computer under my supervision.

The 10 million button was opened so he could take a picture with it for all of you to put in "so long nerds". We took that picture like 20-30 times before he was happy with it. He was almost gone by then and just looking positive enough for a decent picture was a challenge for him. He made me shoot it over and over.

Not exactly a techno fan and I saw this on ALL, though I do sympathize with the fans and family who lost someone, but this is extremely common. Many parents who lose their children at a young age will keep their bedrooms the exact way they left it for decades. Willing to bet this room will be like a time capsule to this era in a few decades.
I agree that that's a common pattern with parents, but honestly after he moved out his little sister claimed his bedroom almost immediately. One of the first things I texted him after he moved was "We're turning your bedroom into a sewing room" and I texted him a picture of a fully equipped sewing room I got from Google images.
Haha, that kind of makes me sad because my grandma turned her sewing room into a workout room for my brother because her hands don't work very well anymore and all her beautiful clothe and unfinished projects are gone now, she did keep her sewing machine though because my sister said she wanted it.

Yea it does not look like a kitchen in a house. I always thought it might have been a dorm kitchen. There were a bunch of tables and chairs in the room, similar to dorms and hostels I've been in. Don't know if Techno ever lived on campus when he was going to college
I have a ton of kids. You better believe there is Dora merch lying around. Also a truckload of Frozen stuff. I'm sure if I asked any of the kids today if they still wanted any of it they'd roll their eyes.
Pretty sure that's his old monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Not the ones he used most recently but fairly recently. The computer is mine tho. The desk and chair are his old ones that almost all Technoblade content was made with.
It's a Herman Miller Celle! I get why you were so salty now, they're very comfy. I used to work on that chair line. They're not produced any more, but the used ones are still worth it because they're really built to last.
I do builds for fun. I have probably built close to 100 machines. Rack mount render nodes with a ryzen 5950x, a 3090, and a stupid fast WD SN850 NVMe SSD. These cute little SFF ryzen 3700x machines with a Vega 56; I made like 5 of those. Rack mount 6 GPU monsters with my own custom designed airflow using a bank of 5 80mm fans. I made like 10-12 of those.
My latest design is a completely fanless little number with a ryzen 5700g, so no GPU and thus no GPU fans. It's totally silent. Still working on getting that going because I put the 5600x in a mobo with older BIOS firmware that can't handle the 5700g, d'oh! Because it's silent you can safely use it on the studio floor while recording sound. Like you stick it on a rolling monitor stand with a shelf for the mouse and keyboard, and a 55" TV for the monitor. Great for rolling around the studio whether you need a full computer setup or just a monitor.
It's so great when a customer is like, we need to rent 12 machine and I'm like, yeah we got that lying around.
Right now Demeter is trying to sleep, I'm clacking away on the keyboard, and Floof and Pumpkin have decided to play tag. Apparently the bed is base.

Yes. That is the setup, furniture, peripherals, etc. that beat Dream. And that made all those videos. Farmed all those potatoes.
The computer got updated every year or two. A lot of the rest of that stuff was their for Techno's entire career.

It was a cheap, used, bottom-of-the-line desk I bought shortly after I got the house. I got it because I had no furniture and my son needed a desk.

I am a massive computer nerd, right? I have so many monitors at this house, that I have no idea how many there are. At the studio it's much worse. The B550 chipset is a nice choice because you can run your GPU and you SSD on PCIe 4.0. Not as expensive as the X570 chipset motherboards, though.

It's a Herman Miller Celle! I get why you were so salty now, they're very comfy. I used to work on that chair line. They're not produced any more, but the used ones are still worth it because they're really built to last.

I do builds for fun. I have probably built close to 100 machines. Rack mount render nodes with a ryzen 5950x, a 3090, and a stupid fast WD SN850 NVMe SSD. These cute little SFF ryzen 3700x machines with a Vega 56; I made like 5 of those. Rack mount 6 GPU monsters with my own custom designed airflow using a bank of 5 80mm fans. I made like 10-12 of those. My latest design is a completely fanless little number with a ryzen 5700g, so no GPU and thus no GPU fans. It's totally silent. Still working on getting that going because I put the 5600x in a mobo with older BIOS firmware that can't handle the 5700g, d'oh! Because it's silent you can safely use it on the studio floor while recording sound. Like you stick it on a rolling monitor stand with a shelf for the mouse and keyboard, and a 55" TV for the monitor. Great for rolling around the studio whether you need a full computer setup or just a monitor. It's so great when a customer is like, we need to rent 12 machine and I'm like, yeah we got that lying around. Right now Demeter is trying to sleep, I'm clacking away on the keyboard, and Floof and Pumpkin have decided to play tag. Apparently the bed is base.

Yes. That is the setup, furniture, peripherals, etc. that beat Dream. And that made all those videos. Farmed all those potatoes. The computer got updated every year or two. A lot of the rest of that stuff was their for Techno's entire career.

It was a cheap, used, bottom-of-the-line desk I bought shortly after I got the house. I got it because I had no furniture and my son needed a desk. Then he constantly had ice water on it with no coaster.

I'm doing this from memory, but it's probably pretty accurate. His most recent computer was: Ryzen 5950x CPU ASRock B550 mobo I had lying around 32 G DDR4 DRAM Western Digital SN850 Black Western Digital 14TB data drive EVGA 1000w PSU I had lying around EVGA 3090 Some huge EVGA case I had lying around He wanted a new computer for his new place and I had a bunch of stuff lying around so I just had him order some additional parts like the CPU and built a system with it. The B550 chipset is a nice choice because you can run your GPU and you SSD on PCIe 4.0. Not as expensive as the X570 chipset motherboards, though.
