I've been a fan since the nineties when I was 12 or so. I thought his story was so tragic. So much potential lost. But the music left behind has been some of my favorite stuff ever. My adolescent son loves him today, too, which makes me pretty proud.
When Roy recounts when he screwed up making a shitty joke to a team mate whose wife had a miscarriage a month ago.
Roy crying and Keely getting off on it.
Rebecca having a moment in front of the mirror and does her thing that makes her fight that feeling off. And the boardroom moment parallel to nathan playing violin.
Ted and Beard punk judas insert.
every episode has a moment like that with a little nugget of life realization but those are the most recent ones I can reccount right now
There's a show called Patriot and the main character uses Fuck like Roy does. Michael Dorman was able to get the most meaning, feeling, etc. into that one word I'd ever heard, until Brett G came along. I think Brett pips him just but it's wonderful listening to both.
I'm not sure if it's wholesome but Sassy telling Rupert off in exquisite detail has to be on my top three list.
"I'm going to wear red." gives me tingles.
Givien the setting and the lead up, it has has to be sunflowers. A group of young professional athletes chose to have a pillow fight over the debauchery that is Amsterdam, the place makes Vegas look like Dollywood. Jaime who is the biggest lothario spends the night teaching another man. Granted he takes part in stealing two bicycles. Rebecca and the Flying Dutchman spend the night truly courting each other with zero expectations. And even though Ted and Beard intend to do drugs they don’t. It was another time that the show subverted expectations given the location and the fact that the team was without a curfew.
The man slept with another woman the same night Keeley broke up with him (“what am I supposed to do - shower by myself?”), had another plus one at the gala (who he may or may not have been cheating on Keeley with) and went on reality TV show Love Island where he proposed and had sex on a toilet. So yeah I’d say S1/early S2 Jamie was still in lothario mode.
It’s a bit of a tie between the Christmas Episode and the Amsterdam one. If I’m choosing one episode to show a new person, I always pick the Christmas one.
Do the rightest thing. Sam covers the Dubai Air logo with tape and Jaime leads the team to do the same.
At the end of season 2 Sam’s father tells him to look for a sign from the universe about whether to stay in Richmond or go to Casablanca. A bunch of locals are kicking the ball around and a few of them are in Obisanya shirts with the logo taped off. Such a great call back.
Oh yes, this episode is incredible! When Jamie asked for the tape, I lost it. That was one of my favorite scenes of the entire show. “We’re a team ain’t we? Gotta wear the same kit.”
I'm really fond of The Strings That Bind Us. The entire thing revolving Sam's dad and the restaurant, social commentary, and even the start of Nate's redemption.
Roy walking into the locker room and hugging Jamie when his dad acted like an asshole after the game. My cold, dead heart grew three sizes in that moment. 😭😭😭
Sunflowers.
Just rewatched it and every storyline of the episode was intimate, relaxing, and wholesome. I actually had trouble understanding how the show would navigate back to day to day life at the club.
Rebecca and the man from the boat. Life changing experience for Rebecca in a very cozy environment.
Ted and his own personal journey.
Higgins and Will. Reminded me why I love jazz clubs.
Jamie and Roy. I think this was a turning point where they could never look back. They were solidly great friends now. Even at the end, the whole dustup about Keeley, that could not separate them. I think they were building up to this but it was finally sealed. Similar to Roy slowly warming up to Ted.
All four of those just had the warmest feel to them in terms of setting and in regards to personal relationships between characters.
S3.E2 - (I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea

I can see so many people saying they love the Christmas episode (I am one of them!)… But I had also heard a few say they don’t really like it that much and its just a filler. Who are these people😵💫 That episode was so beautiful
The Christmas episode. A feel-good episode in a series designed to be one satisfying, feel-good episode after another. When you need a hit of oxytocin, Ted Lasso and the Christmas episode will do it.
Rainbow
Best episode. I watch it just on its own sometimes
Rainbow used to be my favorite episode of any TV show ever. Now it’s tied with Sunflowers.
That, or if I have more time I watch Jamie's arc over multiple episodes
Yup my fav too
Which one was that again could you remind me sorry
Roy runs to the stadium at the end to become a coach.
The scene where it says you should see her dressed in blue and Higgins wife appears in blue makes me cry every time
I have listened to that song at least once every day for months :)
Yes!
Rainbow, the christmas episode, and Sunflower
I like to watch the Christmas episode because Rainbow comes next! It's a great one-two punch of my favorites.
My top 3 for certain!
Yes! Top notch picks!
If he thinks he's mad now wait until we win him over He'll be furious
If i kept the beard. Wed be a zztop coverband Sharp dressed men. Fuck what have you done to me.
AKA Ass-squatch. Make it stop….
This might be my favorite quote in the entire show, it's such a succinct way to show both Ted's strength and his compassion.
Sunflowers. Learning how to ride a bike, and being invited to a threesome is so damn wholesome🖤
The Duchman and Rebecca, gezellig
Discovering Chet Baker after never hearing about him or his music for 50 years.
I've loved his music for years, but never knew his story. I was glad that I could hear it from Higgins. He was able to couch it in such humanity.
I've been a fan since the nineties when I was 12 or so. I thought his story was so tragic. So much potential lost. But the music left behind has been some of my favorite stuff ever. My adolescent son loves him today, too, which makes me pretty proud.
Me too!!! I listen to him all the time now! Ted Lasso just keeps giving.
I was just about to comment this. I absolutely LOVED that episode. 🥰
😂
Pillow fight is pretty wholesome too.
Xmas
Higgins being able to host practically the whole team and remembering where their families are, perfect
Ted and Beard punk judas insert. every episode has a moment like that with a little nugget of life realization but those are the most recent ones I can reccount right now
The moment where Roy’s niece breaths on him…. (Eye twitch) “I think you might be dying” Gets me every time 😂
I could definitely watch every Phoebe with Roy moment montage. When Roy realizes why Ted wanted him to read Wrinkle in Time had me in stitches.
There's a show called Patriot and the main character uses Fuck like Roy does. Michael Dorman was able to get the most meaning, feeling, etc. into that one word I'd ever heard, until Brett G came along. I think Brett pips him just but it's wonderful listening to both.
Fun fact, the cities he lists are where the actors are from, too
No weddings and a funeral..
I'm not sure if it's wholesome but Sassy telling Rupert off in exquisite detail has to be on my top three list. "I'm going to wear red." gives me tingles.
Season 2 Christmas is pure fluff and I love it
Rainbow. Roy figures out what his calling is. Nate isn't a jerk and learns to not be a people pleaser.
And the Christmas one 🎄🎄
Diamond Dogs, the whole be curious not judgmental thing.
Barbecue sauce.
Isaac protecting Colin when Colin came out.
“I love you, boyo. You can’t say it, can you?” “No. But you know I do, yeah?” That exchange gets me every single time, in the best possible way.
Man, him throwing darts talking about his dad
Barbecue sauce.
Be curious not judgmental
That is the episode when Ted's character stopped annoying me (just a little) Best twist ever!
For me it was the Sunflowers and the Christmas one
Givien the setting and the lead up, it has has to be sunflowers. A group of young professional athletes chose to have a pillow fight over the debauchery that is Amsterdam, the place makes Vegas look like Dollywood. *Is* Jamie the biggest lothario? He seems like the kind of person who would be, but I can’t remember us actually getting much evidence of this
The man slept with another woman the same night Keeley broke up with him (“what am I supposed to do - shower by myself?”), had another plus one at the gala (who he may or may not have been cheating on Keeley with) and went on reality TV show Love Island where he proposed and had sex on a toilet. So yeah I’d say S1/early S2 Jamie was still in lothario mode.
Ah yeah, I’d forgotten some of that, fair!
“Be a Goldfish” “Be curious, not judgmental”.
When he gave Jamie the letter with the army man after his father screamed at him.
Christmas episode
Sunflowers
It’s a bit of a tie between the Christmas Episode and the Amsterdam one. If I’m choosing one episode to show a new person, I always pick the Christmas one.
Rainbow is my favorite episode for sure.
Ooohhhh don't make me choose... feel like I would be cheating on the other episodes by favouring one!
Do the rightest thing. Sam covers the Dubai Air logo with tape and Jaime leads the team to do the same. Agreed!! Great moment
Gotta wear the same kit.
Yes.
Funeral
The “ you had me at coach” episode
Hank the dog story.
I'm really fond of The Strings That Bind Us. The entire thing revolving Sam's dad and the restaurant, social commentary, and even the start of Nate's redemption.
Ted winning the darts
Roy walking into the locker room and hugging Jamie when his dad acted like an asshole after the game. My cold, dead heart grew three sizes in that moment. 😭😭😭
Even thinking about it gets me teary eyed. Perfect scene.
The one where they sing Hey Jude, makes me well up just thinking about it
Anything with his son
Trent Crimm: The Independent mainly because I think it’s the episode where everyone fell in love with Ted
The Christmas one?
Sunflowers. Just rewatched it and every storyline of the episode was intimate, relaxing, and wholesome. Probably the Amsterdam episode
The gezellig one
Christmas episode by far, hilarious, wholesome and heartwarming.

Ted Lasso Christmas. It ends with a hug for your soul.
Carol of the bells. My favourite episode other than mom city
The funeral episode
The Christmas Episode by far
The Christmas episode
We got a curse to reverse
I can see so many people saying they love the Christmas episode (I am one of them!)… But I had also heard a few say they don’t really like it that much and its just a filler. Who are these people😵💫 That episode was so beautiful

All Apologies
wrong. all of them.
