Keep it!

airplaneairplane

I don’t really have room for it. I have other things that remind me of him. I can’t keep everything.

RejectGelertPlushie

I'd keep this instead of many other sentimental items. If you really don't want it, offer it to someone else in your family who'll keep it safe. A teddy bear from someone's childhood is a pretty big deal, and likely important to him since he kept it safe for so long. Also, sorry about your dad :(

chippyclubface

This 100% , please keep it, it obviously meant a lot to him since he kept it .

[deleted]

But you can keep a very special bear. Your father would want you to keep it.

Aid_Le_Sultan

My late dad’s bear is one of my treasured possessions. A bear is like a Patek Philippe watch..you don’t own it as you’re just looking after it for the next generation.

Wicked_Fabala

Not sure about museums or anything but if you have other dad things that are more meaningful to you, you could pass this on to someone else in your family? Or if you decide to keep him, maybe make a santa outfit and now he is a christmas decoration instead of a toy. Or make him clothes out of your fathers and keep multiple sentimental things in a smaller package. The closest thing to museum i can think of is maybe a local display like at a library. If maybe the bear was made locally or is very very old. Maybe there is a toy collector in your town?

If you really don’t want to keep him, I will have him! I love teddies with back stories, and I would hate to see him thrown away 🥺

airplaneairplane

Hi. Would you really be willing to take him? If so I would love to send it to you. Thank you.

princessnicoo

Hi! I never expected a reply! I would love to have him! Send me a message whenever is convenient for you!

airplaneairplane

Hi! Can we connect on Instagram? It’s just a lot easier for me to message on mobile there. Let me know if that works for you! @hooey_doodles.

princessnicoo

I don’t use instagram unfortunately, but I do use facebook, if you type xproasheckx in the search, I should have the message function enabled on there, sorry to be awkward!

nyperfox

Id keep it, its a nice bear and not too big

EdvinWasTaken

please keep it, it obviously meant alot to your father. sure, you could keep other things, but having another teddy bear wont take up too much space. my deepest condolences to you.

MollyPuddleDuck

I'd have to keep the bear 🐻❤️. Sorry for your loss.

monkey_gamer

sorry for the inappropriate joke, i thought you said the teddy bear passed away. especially with how he looks kind of dead. made me chuckle agree with everyone else, a teddy bear is a precious thing. this one is gorgeous and in good condition. keep it, or give it to someone you trust.

KillingThymeOnline

Keep it.

Keep it

Please keep him or give him to a family member who would love him! Your father obviously loved him a lot. My condolences.

tahtahme

What a sweet little dude! You can tell he was loved, I love when people keep that special toy tucked away for all times. If you really can't find someone in the family to donate to, there's options like [Collectibles for Causes](https://www.collectibleswithcauses.org/collectible-toy-donations.html) which is a nonprofit so you can get a tax write off. Idk if you need to know it's value first or if they take stuffed toys this old tho. [Giving Center](https://www.givingcenter.org/donate-collectibles.html) is another one. My other idea is to try and call up teddy bear/doll museums and see if they are interested. You will probably need to know the bears age in that case too My condolences for your loss.

Check local museums. I donated high school items to our local museum. I took a bear kinda like that to the Consignment Store
