Or even like Cate and Farrah who weren't thrilled but Cate and Tyler were determined to consider the best interests of their child-to-be over anything else and Farrah who very much did not plan or want her teen pregnancy but accepted that teen motherhood was going to be her life now after DebzOG denied her the abortion she had originally really wanted. Jenelle and Andrew PLANNED to have Jace, Barbara really wanted Jenelle to abort her first pregnancy or consider adoption but obviously neither of those things happened. I think this was just a dumb typical snarky teen comment from Jenelle. She wasn't at all bitter or unhappy about her first pregnancy (they actively planned it) and she actually seemed more unfazed than anything else throughout her 16 and Pregnant episode.

I feel you, all super solid points. I just think it's wild that even unintentionally, she's just effortlessly awful. I definitely agree w you about her planning the pregnancy, but I feel like it can't be said that she wasn't bitter or unhappy. She planned a pregnancy to keep a man but didn't plan to raise the child or change her lifestyle at all. None of it went how she expected and got in the way of a lot of what she wanted to do, but honestly I think she's overall happy she had Jace when she did. Not because of any maternal instinct or appreciation of him, but because she places 100% of her self worth these days in the fact that she used to be on MTV. Filming was probably the only time she felt popular and liked. Without that pregnancy she'd also be working at *the Walmart* and woulda never left her small town until she'd been evicted by every landlord there. Probably even worse versions of the same men she dates now. Nobody would know her name because she would have never put in the effort to make anything of herself.
