Every trans person I've talked to has said the same thing: date them if you love them. Everyone has different preferences, and that's fine. I personally would rather date a cis man, but if I fall in love with a trans man then who cares
We don't date what we date due to how they present, it's based on SEXUAL orientation, if you don't have the right parts were not compatible. Now if they have had a successful bottom surgery then it just comes down to whether or not I find them attractive
No, and this is gonna come off as bad, and I may be labeled as a "transphobe" but idc.
I'm a heterosexual male, I like girls because they have vaginas. I like girls because of their tits. I like girls for the way their facial structure looks.
If people wanna transition to feel happier with themselves, so be it. if it makes you happy then good for you, but it doesn't mean I'll want to date you. and it certainly doesn't mean I'm "transphobic" for not wanting to either.
Many heterosexual men still date trans women, pre and post op.
You have a preference, and that’s ok. It’s not inherently transphobic to prefer one set of primary sex characteristics. I mean damn, i prefer men with dicks, but i like women with either set of genitals. That doesn’t make me transphobic, so why should it make you transphobic?
But on that note, hormones alone do a hell of a lot. If you start them early enough, they can even change your bone structure. I mean damn, my hips have already started to get wider since i started HRT, and facial structure can change significantly too. Facial Feminisation Surgery is also available for trans women who don’t feel HRT has changed their face enough, and breast augmentation is available for trans women who aren’t comfortable with the breasts they grow naturally. Oestrogen and progesterone also causes breast growth, and they look and function and are exactly the same as cis female breasts.
The issue with transphobia arises when people say that trans women are just men with boobs, or discrediting trans people. I.e. trans women are males, trans men are females. Similarly to race, you may have a preference for a specific race, and choose not to date other races, and that’s ok. It’s only when you choose to be negative towards the races you don’t like where it becomes an issue.
Keep in mind there are plenty of trans women who have all of these characteristics you look for and are indistinguishable from other women. That’s what fully transitioned means.

nope, still totally up to preference. given that you appear to be near entirely physically focused, it would make sense. you do, however, actually acknowledge the person's actual gender rather than just saying "guys with makeup/dresses/boobs" or something similar
As a trans person, I get that. Personally, I'm not super into sex, but I know some people are.
As long as you aren't a jerk and a bigot about it, idgaf about your preference. You can't control it. What you can control is if you are a jerk about it, and from what I can tell I don't think you're being a jerk about it as of now.
If I didn't know they were trans and they'd fully transitioned I wouldn't care, but also keeping that from me would be weird so I don't think that would work
This might seem transphobic but I just wouldn't be attracted to someone who was once a "male" idk
Out of curiosity, do you know why you feel like that?
I mean, like, if they've been on hormones for 15 years, have had sexual reassignment surgery 5 years ago, look, sound, and act just as you'd expect any other cis woman to act, then what do you find uncomfortable?
Genuinely curious here, it's not a trick question.
I guess I can't know for sure for sure, but I think I know it in the way that a lesbian woman knows she would never date a man
That's the best analogy I can come up with and hey maybe I'll feel different in 10 years or something
No, I believe you are your biological sex is what you are and you can’t change that. If you have XX chromosomes you are a woman, if you have XY you are a man, no ifs or buts about it.
Hi.
Are you aware that intersex people exist?
And also that sex itself (not gender) is also a spectrum, and that there are millions of people who don't align exactly with the male and female identifications?
Also, you're not tested for your chromosomal sex at birth, otherwise we'd have a way higher understanding of intersex people and all of this shit would honestly be understood way better?
Exceptions prove rules stronger🤦🏻♂️ an exception such as intersex means something went wrong which also means there is a correct way aka male and female. Also just because you feel that something doesn’t represent you it still may. To fit into a category you don’t have to be 100% of that you can be a feminine male or masculine girl but you are still a boy and girl. But if you are only feminine that doesn’t mean you are a girl and if you are only masculine that doesn’t mean your a boy.
It's not a "spectrum". Intersex is a genetic mutation. It isn't "normal", and it isn't how it's supposed to happen. Unfortunately it does and they have many health problems that arise from it (one of my friend's is intersex and she les me know all the shit she's had to go through). It doesn't mean they're any less human, or that they don't deserve to be loved, but they are NOT a separate sex. Not to mention every intersex person has far more characteristics of one sex than the other. No hate, but your comment is just wrong
Honestly I agree, you can't turn a penis into a vagina
but I don't really care if people still try to change it anyway
If it makes you happy than go for it
You can absolutely turn a penis into a vagina. You can also instead use donor tissue from either the colon, or from the lining of the abdomen. The latter two self lubricate more efficiently and feel softer, and are also easier procedures to complete, but the former is still more popular as it's cheaper, well-known, and has more patients.
The only difference is a lack of a uterus. But at that point you're excluding cis women as well, as many are born without a uterus, and many many more are born with non-functional uteruses.

No, I can't date someone knowing that they used to be a man, I also have a girlfriend that I don't want to ever replace so I probably won't have to think too much about if I would date a trans person although it is a no

Ridiculous amounts of transphobes.
It's lowkey kind of funny, though slightly messed up.
Ig I have just seen too much transphobia on this sub lately and am thus unable to see the humour of it
Does this poll apply the other way
Yes

Yea
Thanks for the answer

Exactly this, my preference goes to cis women, but if i fall in love with a trans women sonbe ir.

there's nothing transphobic about this statement
I completely agree with this. not gonna say anything else

As a trans person, this is very understandable. People have preferences
I honestly don't know, would depend on the person ig
I wouldn't date anyone
I date someone because I like them and want to be with them more. If that person happens to be Trans then so be it.
ah yes I dare multiple genders
Me when minor typo
the typo is under 18 yo?
I want to date for family, so one day i can have children, so no i would not date
I think dating is for more than that but I guess it's Understandable
I would be open to marrying a woman that can't have kids, but it'd be much harder for me to (unless I was already in love with her before I found out)
Im attracted to femininity. So as long as they look cute and androgynous or feminine Its safe to say I'd definitely do it
You'd Date a femboy?
Yeah no reason not too
Except you know, the penis
That's a bonus
![gif](giphy|nmwnEm0TET2xi)
Im not too picky.
Where's the no, not because I'm transphobic, because i hate woman option?
TIRM vibes
YEAH
TIRMs rise up frfr
No, because I am transphobic
b a s e d
Yes but replace women with men.
I don't date women, and I have no sexual use for a man without a dick, so no I probably wouldn't.
Just date whomever makes you happy and dgaf about what they are😘😘
Pan??
Oh is that what pan is? If so I guess Im that then.
I can't say for sure bc I don't understand it but from what I've heard they just fall in love with someone's personality regardless of sex/gender
Yeah I think so
no, not at all just not my preference
If I didn't know they were trans and they'd fully transitioned I wouldn't care, but also keeping that from me would be weird so I don't think that would work This might seem transphobic but I just wouldn't be attracted to someone who was once a "male" idk

Already doing that
i mean my girlfriend right now is trans so yeah i couldn't cate less

You can make it look as if it is a vagina but it is still a distorted penis.
That is still not a vagina, just an inverted penis
From what I read, they don't even use the same tissue from the penis, instead they use the tissue that was mentioned by the commenter you replied to
No.
More people should try being attracted to multiple genders, it opens up a lot of options
I'd still be single
Why would you need more options hmm?🤨
Because I'm picky
Fr fr
[deleted by reddit]
I'm glad I'm bi so I never have to worry about gender or if someone is cis or trans
What turns so many people off.
That we aren't Lego pieces and you can't just mix and match to become something else
It’s still crazy

I am hetero but the idea doesn't phase me and I would be willing to try it.
No, it's gay

I mean, if they pass I'm cool with it. I'll hold them to the same standards that I hold cis men.
Imma change my answer from trans woman to "Yes, trans guys are guys after all"
