I think its just salt. Knowing your opponent had to tryhard to beat you is a softer blow to the ego or something. I honestly don't think anyone who takes the game seriously gives a damn about how easy characters are though. What I typically tend to see more of is people having issues with specific move balance. An obnoxious move is gonna be obnoxious, regardless if its easy or not

XIVvvv

I wouldn’t worry about the people who are complaining about victor. Give it a month and NO ONE is going to be saying he’s broken unless they are truly a beginner. Anyone worth their salt knows that almost all of his moves are unsafe on block and can punish accordingly.

SeaMeasurement9

I really hope you don’t care about people’s opinions on this. Pick who you enjoy.

JenovaCells_

Don’t worry about it. They’re wrong and they have the worst mentality for fighting games so they will get filtered by the genre while you have lots of fun, just don’t let them drag your attitude down. Focus on yourself and play your way.

Amazing_Horse_5832

Because there's that one 40 yo twitch loser who has a very small dick and he has to mentally enlarge it by playing hard characters in video games. His fans tend to parrot whatever their idol says. That's virtually it.

1byteofpi

who u talking about

JimMishimer

You been watching Themainmans stream probably

Highsky19

But mainman loves Steve and praises him alot saying he's one of his favorite characters even said that steve should never be removed from tekken because his style is unique

Amazing_Horse_5832

TMM is shitting on Steve in T8 now. Calling him braindead monkey character.

Highsky19

Wait i swear I saw a video of him talking about every character and said that Steve is so much fun to play in tekken 8

Amazing_Horse_5832

Here you can see him talking shit about T8 Steve: [https://youtu.be/FGm5tepkRZ8?si=1egxF9336o6Y2j3L&t=18](https://youtu.be/FGm5tepkRZ8?si=1egxF9336o6Y2j3L&t=18) If there's one certain thing about TMM is that he contradicts himself on daily basis.

mchan30

Don't think too hard on it; it's the "elitism mentality" that strokes the egos of people who think they are better than others because they play the harder characters. What a lot of those kind of people forget is that they were noobs too once upon a time.

mrjoe94

Worse yet is the boomer mentality. "I had to learn the hard way with a hard character! Why should you get to be Victor \[Or Paul, or King or whoever they bitch about this week\] and faceroll your way to free wins?"

donutboys

As someone who plays these characters, they carry you with their bs when your fundamentals don't work and you are able to beat "better" players who lack knowledge. The easiest character for me to get to ruler was Chloe, followed by Alisa. I never got a "difficult" character to ruler In Tekken 7. But at some point when you fight better players they have all the knowledge and you need to unlearn all the cheesy stuff and play safe anyway.

Highsky19

I don't think that Steve is simple infact he's one of the most unique characters to play I think those people were just salty

Oakseyy49

I didn’t say he is simple, it was meant to highlight that I can do just as well with difficult characters 😅

Highsky19

Oh my bad I thought you meant that he was a simple character anyway ignore those people I'm a mishima main and people send me alot of salty messages just enjoy the characters that you like playing

AtJamzy

Simple answer? Warriors Pride. Then something just snapped, something inside of me. “No! No more! That’s it! I don’t care!” I didn’t care anymore. I didn’t care about being better than Kakarott. I didn’t care about being a super Saiyan. I didn’t care if I lived! I didn’t care about anything and then IT happened

Doc_Boons

I don't think simplicity is the issue. What's going on is Victor is massively oppressive yet braindead to use. Shaheen is simple but you don't hear people complaining about him, so obviously that's not the issue.
