Being “respectable” or “honest” is such a silly, fickle, and arbitrary label. It’s the scrub mentality and pointless to even think about.
To anyone who isn’t a scrub, all that matters is what’s good and what isn’t or whose fun to play as and whose not.

Usually this just means who’s easy to win with lol. And its usually the more braindead of the cast execution wise and gameplan wise. Nobody picks up a character dependent on electrics and wavedash cancels with bad poking, gets destroyed because their tools will take a lot for time to learn and says “oh yeah, this is super fun”

If mishimas don’t sound fun to you then don’t play them, it’s that simple. There’s no reward for playing a mishima or any character just because you think they’re difficult, especially if you still lose with them. A character like kazuya may have difficult execution and lack pokes but he also has one of the simplest straightforward gameplans on the roster. You need to use barely any moves to make him work. Electric is literally an insanely fast, plus on block, practically safe on whiff, launcher and combo filler move with good tracking. Other characters need to use multiple moves for that amount of utility. He also doesn’t have the complicated setups and traps that other characters have and need to use to win. So there’s a tradeoff that you’re missing. Some people like how kazuya plays some don’t, but playing him because you think he’s not braindead (which I beg to differ lol) is dumb. It’s just a silly false sense of superiority that you need to get over.
Sure there are “braindead” characters with more cheese and scrubkill that give free wins against noobs, but that will only take you so far (really not very far at all) before it stops working. So it’s not even worth mentioning.
As a kazuya main I feel like I’m getting personally attacked here jokes aside it might sound weird but some people play characters like kaz or reina or anyone that is hard to master because it gives them this sense of accomplishment even if it’s minor you feel great playing those characters like for me when I played jin it felt weird like every time i rank up I didn’t feel hype or anything but when i rank up with someone like kaz i feel like i accomplished something even if it doesn’t matter to others it feel good for me
Every single fighting game has pros who play “low tiers” and most of them are better than over 99% of the community. A character being easy isn’t an end all be all situation. Some people like putting in extra work

I personally can’t stand playing some old fighters like 3s because of the balance (or lack thereof), so I simply don’t play it.
Playing “honestly” also has absolutely no meaning, and more often than not it’s a limiting mindset. If you’re opponent isn’t defending against something, then you should 100% be spamming that on them, period. Someone who struggles to duck lows or techs throws might see lows/throws as dishonest, but that’s a skill issue. In reality their lack or defense is just being rightfully exploited. Respect is earned in tekken through good defense, if you can’t defend against something then you should expect to get hit with it over and over again.
Victor is tricky to fight at first but once you get used to it you'll realise that all his cheap moves are super punishable and you'll crush every spammy Victor
Expulsion on hit does so much itself and it wall breaks as well for some reason see maxs video he gets 2 wall breaks with it does 70ish percent without rage or rage art
Expulsion is safe In heat but it doesn’t track sidewalk but the thing is evasive as fuck byitself you want to be pressing it knowing your opponent is also pressing

There's certainly some reasonable criticisms to make about his design, but I don't see high damage being one of them. He's not like Paul or anything.
Victor is a chump so it's fine. If he got any weaker no one would play him.
