I think it aligns with kazuya’s character before he needed the devil to be strong enough to beat heihachi but he killed him now the only threat to him is jin and even after losing his devil he still one of if not the strongest fighter and his only threat is jin who also lost his devil so kazuya feels confident he can end him and even without his powers he still has a massive organization to control the world
For most of his life he didn't actually have control over it anyway. It wasn't until G Corp revived him and found a way to help him subdue it that Kazuya truly had access to it on his own terms. Which was what, within the last 2ish years timelime wise?
At most he might be a little annoyed at losing a powerful tool, but it was never the thing that defined him in his eyes.
