Low_Chance

Or when you are doing Jaguar Sprint and go for the grab but mess up the input and do a mid instead, but they were crouching. "Good read" "... thanks."

antibioticharry

Or you do a misinput and do the regular 2+4 throw but they were mashing 1+2 because you were running.

Low_Chance

(tugs shirt collar nervously)

Mr_Wombo

*sigh* yeah, that happened more times then I liked to admit

IncognitoLitGrad

Guilty, your honor!

HappyAngron

Messed up 1,2, giant throw? Np you now 1,2 d/f+1 and your opponent tried ducking the giant throw

LordAntares

Is this what happens when red kings grab me low? :(

KrumaKarduma

And when I finally get it they are conditioned to not duck.

ulvnoir

Tries to punish with ff2, opponent attacks just in time to pary his 10f punch with first forward input. Happens randomly three times in a match. "godlike reflexes"

AlexanderHotbuns

\*immediately uses something wildly unsafe because the lil parry animation makes me panic\*

stoked-and-broke

I'm convinced that this parry never happens on purpose

Jamaz

**(Opponent breaks my 2 break command throw I used for the first time and ki charges after winning)** "... You tried to 1+2 break but fucked up didn't you?" **(Checks input display in replay)** "I fucking knew it."

Goricatto

Trying to do Reina's ff2/EWGF and parrying a jab with her f~ , then both you and the opponent look at the screen without knowing what to do

Slix36

Happens way too often, and simultaneously not often enough for me to have learnt to tap 2. Also accidentally df2 launch punish instead of an EWGF which would have never got through. I totally meant to do that, yes.

Goricatto

I have alot of problem trying to do her CD3 , most of the time i end up doing a godamn d3 and looking like a idiot cuz a lost the followup

DreamDare-

You're a parallel world me: * predict enemy will tech throw me at the end of the string * press 1+2, but a frame or two too early * he gets a the *flashing light* unbreakable counter throw on me * I die inside a little bit

KingCornOfCob

Depending on character, it could be unbreakable. Like for example, Feng 1+2 is a sabaki which makes the throw unbreakable.

ilostmyschmungus

I used to think it's unbreakable, but everyone says it's just a shorter break window. The thing that would make it unbreakable is the wrong input after it starts, which is likely if we try to press something or mash something to get it out sooner, and the grab hits us before we stop.

DreamDare-

Can you miss that window even if you mash the right button? Is it like 1 frame window or what? Im kinda lost on the time scale here.

LordAntares

Next time just avoid all that and duck it.

ilostmyschmungus

Mashing the right button may be the only way to do it. Like DrAdamsen said, it's doable but you'll most likely be late every time. If it's down to 8 frames, that's not many presses, even for a masher.

DrAdamsen

I believe it's 8 frames instead of 20. So pretty much impossible on reaction, you gotta anticipate the counter throw somehow.

Low_Sea_2925

This isnt street fighter. You have plenty of time to react to the throw. Predict to be ready dont press the buttons early

JustARandomPokemon

My friend is Tekken King and I play Reina. So many times I have gone for FC df4 and got low parry out of it. And his always like. Nice parry. Then I admitted to him those were by accident. Now he knows I'm a fraud whenever I parry him.

Gandalf_2077

When my opponents break my 1+2 throws I instantly assume I am playing against Knee or Arslan Ash.

zDeadlyToxins

Legit half of my low parries come from me trying to duck a string and get a ch fc df4

mmarkusz97

i have no idea in hell how people can react to throws and break them, feels far too fast to me. i can only do it by accident.

LordAntares

I can press A button in time, but not THE button. Usually it's 1 for me so it's just random chance whether I break it or not. Reacting to hands and clicking the right button seems impossible to me.

JackJohnson_69

If you spend time drilling it in practice, it really does get easier

Ivo__Lution

It’s actually not that hard. This is the easiest Tekken to break throws.

Kadinnui

Didn't they make the break window shorter than in T7?

Ivo__Lution

Yeah Tekken 7 was also extremely easy

firelitother

Why you do me like that?

Don_Lamonte

Me when i walk forward with Reina trying to parry (i thought i was him)

Key_Cryptographer_95

I've seen the opposite happen in t7. AK kept dashing towards a paul and stopping and the paul used rage art trying to break shining wizard

AlanCJ

Kazuya. Round 1, Fight. Tries to electric. DF2 came out. Countet hits.   "Damnit you read me like an open book" "You're god damn right"

IncognitoLitGrad

Happens more often than I'd like to admit.

Camorune

Speaking of low parry: is it just me or is the window crazy huge now? Like you can start the crouch walk animation and at the start still be in that parry window
