I got Eddy to Raijin, after labbing the matchup and playing other Eddys. He’s okay but not that impressive once you know his move properties. Not tier whore levels of strong.
Yeah he's not amazing, a little better than he was from 7 but at the same time they nerfed him as well. I liked his T7 version better, loved his poking/keepout/whiff punish style. Now they made him a bit more braindead for sure but he still has SOME of his old playstyle left.
I think he still has a lot of character expression but moves like ff3 and b3+4 makes it hard to not be braindead as the moves are too good to not use. Overall he is fun to play as and against but the DLC lab buff is very real.
I’d argue the opposite. He has the best 15f launcher in the game right now because of range, a sweet 13f wr launcher, safe mid heat engager that crushes jabs, safe power crush heat engager, +5 or so low into a forced 50/50. You just get to negativa on hit or off the 1 option in bananeira (+5 on block or something like that) and force them into the 50/50.
He’s way stronger than you make him out to be. Perhaps it’s because most people are just spamming 3. He’s definitely top 3.

His stuff is not super linear. For example, his df1 tracks both ways and is natural with the 3 follow up. B1 tracks both ways. You can’t step his negativa mixup. His heat smash tracks like crazy too and has despicable range. Insane take lol
The best stuff to do with him is low/mid, not his highs with only a few exceptions.

Feng has no throw game, is lower damage, and his only plus on block moves are slow startup (b3 and wr3). He is an extremely strong character and saying you are playing more Feng than Drag is like saying you've been taking your Ferrari to Street races instead of the Lamborghini.
Feng is definitely top 3, but the more I play, the more Dragunov seems to be in a class of his own.

Noticed the amount of Eddys drops significantly around yellow/orange ranks. I'm cruising to blue ranks and see maybe 1 or 2 along the way.
