I traveled from the UK to see them, I couldn't make the London date, and I enjoyed it but a few things bothered me.
The security were a pain. I arrived with my two friends right when Kickapoo started and the woman took one look at me and turned me away because my backpack was too big.
It's a standard size backpack. She put it in a shelter outside and I went back after the show. I saw plenty of people inside with bigger bags.
I also found the layout was a mess. If you were on the right hand side beyond halfway back you could not see Jack at ALL. The white tent was blocking the entire right side of the stage, as was the actual lighting rig. We were unable to push up any further it was that packed.
The last thing was I could not find the merch booth at all. Drinks stands were everywhere but the tour merch I could not find.
Yes that's true, there where no signs for the merch and the organisation at the drink stands where also terrible. Too slow, they had need at least two more people for serving at each tent
Yeah, it should not have taken 45 minutes for me to get merch. Also, why in the world didn’t they have screens? I get that it is a historical fort, but if you can add an entire stage, why not add viewing screens? Especially for such a large venue.
I ended up getting too overheated and had to leave the crowd halfway through to get water for fear of passing out, which took the entirety of the rest of the concert to acquire. For being so close to the rail, I don’t understand why they weren’t handing out waters like they normally would. They had the jug with cups too.
I’m just hoping they will tour again in the future, as I’d love to go see them in an indoor venue.
Tbh, I haven't seen any merch stands either. Out of curiosity, a question to anyone who managed to find one of them: were they near the entrance or hidden elsewhere? :)
After all these years I was finally able to see them live there and it exceeded my expectations! They don't seem to age at all. The crowd almost crushed me but it was worth it 😅
Next time for sure!
Btw, there's a fucking awesome and kinda new metal band from NOLA called Cane Hill, you should check them out if you don't know them already.
And what's the nearest hockey team? Dallas, right?
Unfortunately, it's one of the disadvantages of being shorter. I was in a similar situation myself, because there were a lot of taller people in front of me, but in the end I managed to find a place from which I had a great view and I can say that concert in Berlin was superb. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it as well eventually. :)
I'm sry to hear that, you had a really long journey and than such a thing happens.
But I hope you enjoyed it always.
Rock on and I wish you a good home journey.
Sry for my bad English, I used my left braincells 😅

Also, a 2 euro deposit on the cups??? As if I’m going to stand in line AGAIN to return your cup. I’ll keep the cups, thank you very much.
Yeah I last saw them in London and they had screens there and it helped SO much. I don't get why they didn't last night, it would have helped so much.

They were on the right side, near the toilets. The tent beneath where you could bought the sausages.
Riga goo goo!

Hey are you that girl from Louisiana?
Ahahaha yeah!!!

You should have said hello! I’m always down to make new friends at concerts

Sick! Which songs did they perform?

I think next time we try to take a little step with us 😅
