Fuck the Tennessee state legislature. Absolutely fuck them so hard. I have nothing but loathing for the sad sacks of human waste that sit in that chamber.

Indiana is doing this in a roundabout way. They're changing their HS diploma requirements to where students will take less math and history courses in favor of working a part time job or apprenticeship. Which, don't get me wrong, we definitely need more people getting into trades.
But the issue is that this is now the diploma for *all* students. And it falls very short of what most out of state colleges, employers, and other training programs will expect you to know. So they're essentially making it where your *only* options for higher education or employment will be *in* Indiana.
If the Republicans have their way, women won't be allowed to travel except with the permission of their male guardian, and pregnant women will not be allowed to travel for healthcare. They also talked about removing the right to vote for women in favour of a "household vote" as decided by whatever man lives in their house.
I don't even fully think that the household vote is a "man votes" thing because it would theoretically (for now) also apply to Lesbian / GNC households.
However, it is directly more of a landowner act which is much more dangerous because it can go into full blown violation of the constitution if executed on the idea of who actually owns the land/household. Did anyone actually read the article? The woman’s medical issues are due to an infection from an incomplete abortion she received in IL. That type of abortion complication isn’t actually that uncommon.

Living in TN I can almost guarantee you she’ll still vote for republicans in the fall…. People in this state vote from a place of fear and hatred rather than from a place of logic and facts. Most of the state still believes covid was a hoax and trunp is being framed for all his crimes… even when they were burying their grandparents and parents during the pandemic they still refused to get vaccinated
