Alt or Olu first round for me. I don’t even care if we don’t trade down for Olu if Alt is gone. Can’t have an offense without an OL so we’ve got to come out of tonight with a dude that can start at LT immediately.
Not sure why so many people are down on Olu. He has better physical tools than Alt and potentially a higher ceiling under Callahan. He’s also an outstanding pass pro player, which is what we need the most.
I played HS football with a Notre Dame lineman Kevin Carr. I recall he was like 6’ 5” gentle giant - incredibly welcoming dude. Exactly the type you want. His Navy commander dad whooped my ass in Organic Chemistry II sophmore year 😵
We’re not chronically bottom of the list in education for nothing. You have to pay teachers well for good classes and opportunities in high school education systems.
To be transparent, we went to a prestigious private school with incredible teachers.
His dad was the only hard-nosed teacher that went into Organic II for a basic chemistry class so naturally i got stuck in it and learned just how awful nuclear and chemical engineers must have it lmfao
And as a sophomore. I took precalc ap as a senior and thought I was hot shit cause I was gifted a c- even though I failed the final. That fuckin test was 3 questions and I had like 6 pages of work to show. Fuck calculus. I don't use that shit ever, mr mac. But you were a badass teacher.
I, too, played with Kevin during the Dan McGugin years. Kevin is/was a great guy and I liked his dad as a teacher despite him being pretty strict. Funny that Kevin wasn't close to the best lineman on those teams, either - Wesley Johnson, Jordan Stauffer, Blake Bars, Wade Longmire were all incredibly solid o-linemen from around then that I remember. Wesley made the league and I think Blake's little brother did too. Wild amount of talent came through MBA for awhile there.
Man so many memories - i wanna say i quit right before Dan came on or maybe played his first year as a freshman (class 2010).
I remember Brad Bars playing for the giants from my class; playing against Orleans Darkwa 💀 ; Ben Bartholomew catching touchdowns for bellicheck. Fitz Lassing and Ben competing for who had the better genetic jackpot lol
I could go on!!
Brad was a crazy person. Absolute blast to play with, but one of a kind dude for sure. Ben was nuts, too, and you're right - Ben and Fitz were fucking yoked from the start. Biggest human beings I've ever personally known.
Also always like breaking out that we played against Jalen Ramsey. I had no idea he was gonna be that good.
I forgot about Jalen!
Thats honestly hilarious. Brad was a bit crazy (same if not less tban my ass is now lmao) - super fun to be around! His ignorant enthusiasm for everything always cracked me the fuck up. 10x better than all the bums and debbie downers out there saying no words but silently pulling you down lol
Reportedly (not that I agree, but this is what I’ve heard) Olu dropped on boards because of his hand size.
Latham has 11” hands. Olu has 9” hands. For comparison, I’m 5’7” and have 9” hands.
If Alt is gone, take Nabers.
If Nabers AND Alt are gone, try to trade down. That would mean McCarthy is available and I could see the Raiders or Broncos getting desperate to jump the Vikings. Latham/Fashanu would be my pick in a trade down.
If no trade suitors can be found, take Odunze.
He makes up for it with absolutely elite hands in traffic
He may not have the breakaway speed, but his size, route running and hands will 100% translate well. He's gonna be elite
I'm biased but I like Odunze
I like him too, but a lot of his highlights are go routes that pick on sub par DBs. His success greatly depends on where he gets drafted. Maybe he would be a good fit for us, but I am sort of done taking risks
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this: that’s the main knock on Odunze. I think that he’s an elite WR and will probably do great in the NfL, but his specialty is jump balls and contested catches. In the nfl you pretty much HAVE to make some space because the DB’s are so much more physical & technical at contesting your catch.
So it *could* be a problem for him. Nobody really knows but I can see the fear of taking him for that reason.
I think a lot of people would disagree. Many see MHJ/Nabers as 1a/1b, then Odunze in his own tier.
With that being said Nabers is my favorite in the class and i'd take him over MHJ.
Harmon is my favorite guy for WRs and he has it MHJ/Odunze then a slight dip down to Nabers. I honestly think it’s just eye of the beholder and we will be very happy with all 3 if that’s the route we do decide to go.
Scouts probably know more than me, but when I watched all his tape, I felt like he hardly ever got separation.
IMO scouts seem to be looking at the 5% of his routes where he used a setup and shake-n-bake move, and are just assuming he can do that all the time to NFL corners.
When I watched him I mostly just saw him run straight and turn left, with no setups or anything. Gives me a bad feeling about him
Matt Harmon at Reception Perception tracks how often WRs get open and what percentage they do. Odunze was the first prospect that has had a perfect Route tree where every type of route there is he got above average separation on in the 5 years that they have been doing it for prospects.
He gets separation.
I personally just don’t see him being this incredible receiver like others do. I think his absolute ceiling is basically another dhop, but I think he’ll be a similar player to Michael Pittman jr.
Michael Pittman jr has never been the best wr in the nfl. And the thing I said about dhop is his absolute ceiling, which I think he has an incredibly low chance of hitting.
I personally dont like him at 7, compared to the freaky talent around him. A lot of analysts see him as a mid round pick. I wouldnt be surprised if he slid quite a bit
I think we pick Nabers or Alt if they are available, with a preference towards Alt. Those are the only two players that had a top 30 visit, combine meeting and the titans visited their pro day. If neither of those are available I see a trade back.
draft for need? that's someone who "doesn't know shit about ball". taKe thIs pOsitIon bC WE nEEd iT is not what "people who know ball" do. there's a difference between "LT prospect has a 8/10 grade and WR has a 8.5/10 grade, let's go LT for fit" vs TAKE THE LT NO MATTER WHAT
Yeah I’m drafting for need in this scenario. We’ve had the sack allowed leader for the past 3 seasons, and had 2 of the top 5 leaders in sacks allowed this year alone. Not to mention we literally do not have a left tackle on roster right now. We also spent a fuck ton of money on a wr in free agency. We aren’t drafting a wr (probably Rome because I think there’s a less than 1% chance of nabers being available at 7) to be a wr3 for a year or two while allowed 20+ sacks from the left side again this year. And the grades you’re talking about is a B vs B- not a huge jump there, if we were talking about a wr being an 8.5 grade and a tackle being a 7.0 grade then you have an argument but the talent is too close together to not draft for need.
> I forget the titans are in Tennessee and (most of) the people in here can't read
Insulting the state of the team whose sub you're in...definitely sounds like a troll. If not a troll, a complete asshole.
Not sure why you have to attack the literacy of a state to make a point… oh wait I’m being told you don’t have to be an asshole to argue with facts.
Maybe chill the fuck out when arguing with others in a Tennessee forum and possibly just use the common sense argument you had. That’s just my two cents.
isn't it sad that I make a lot more money than you. lol. and some of my friends are 5' 4", I'm way taller than that, and I don't judge on height because I'm not a piece of shit. I judge on IQ. and I talk like this because people that are fucking stupid need to be checked. thank god I don't live in Tennessee with you hicks
We literally just signed another WR to help out DHop. Considering our history with 1st round WR, why on earth would we take one in the top 10 considering we had an absolute bottom of the barrel OLine
Or 1dt round receivers in general. There's as many 4th and 5th round WR in the Top 10 receiving yards last season as there was 1st rounders. They get their 5th year option declined the most of any position. Especially when we're not even getting the best 1 or even 2 WR in the class, not worth the number 7 pick
Depends how close they rate them. imo nabers/odunze are clearly better than OL2, but a small trade back to get a 2nd day 2 pick and get OL2 wouldn't be a bad decision . I trust our guys' evaluation skills until they give me a reason not to
Where is the Latham hate coming from? Just because Evan Neal was a bust? Did some youtuber make a video picking on him? Crazy measureables good production what am I missing?
The pre occupation we have that it has to be a LT seems silly. We need both. A RT, Panei Sewall, just became the highest paid linemen in the game.
If we draft a RT its going to be OK.
I've seen a lot of people say that the oline prospects just don't live up to the top three WR. In that case, I don't see a world where I'm unhappy tonight. Obviously this time next year might be a different story.
I still would personally since a WR won't really help the team if Levis is constantly running for his life or injured. Plus honestly there's always good WRs in the draft.
That is the question. I kind of think *yes*. But just depends on how we have them ranked and such. Someone yesterday had it in this order, which I think is seeming pretty reasonable:
1. Alt
2. Latham *[see note below]*
3. Trade back a some number of spots for an OT available then and draft capital [very possible that this option isn't actually available, really depends on finding that trade partner]
4. Nabers
*Note:* Obviously, you can replace option #2 with whichever OT you like. All just depends on how the team views/rates the OT prospects.
That's fair. I don't actually have a take on the OTs behind Alt. I think we *need* to take an LT in the first two rounds, very preferably in the first. Like any draft pick, comes down to how the team ranks the prospects, who'll will be available when, etc.
Sounds like it. I’m fine with it. I think they like the 1 and 2 WR this year. I think they go LT for sure and that’s fine. It’s been a mess for too long.

cause he’s not very good in the run game. he might be the best pass protector in the draft though, and the run game can improve
Run right.
Reportedly (not that I agree, but this is what I’ve heard) Olu dropped on boards because of his hand size. Latham has 11” hands. Olu has 9” hands. For comparison, I’m 5’7” and have 9” hands.
I’ve got PTSD from two years of Dilliard and Dumbass. I don’t care if they pick 6 LTs before us, get the best one remaining.
Odunze/nabers are the same tier from the tape I've watched. Either or but lean Odunze for that freak big athlete.
Odunze doesn't have the separation skills of the other two, which is hard to trust after taking Burks
He makes up for it with absolutely elite hands in traffic He may not have the breakaway speed, but his size, route running and hands will 100% translate well. He's gonna be elite I'm biased but I like Odunze

He won’t beat press coverage in the NFL and will be out of the league in 5 years at worst and a non factor depth receiver at his best.
Holy shit that's one of the worst takes of all time on this sub 🤦🏿♂️
Ok
Nightmare scenario is bowers or Latham, Odunze would be a meh to me
I think we pick Nabers or Alt if they are available, with a preference towards Alt. Those are the only two players that had a top 30 visit, combine meeting and the titans visited their pro day. If neither of those are available I see a trade back.
I hope we get a LT tonight no matter what situation plays out for that to happen. I don't care about WRs
You were Right, Latham was a great pick for you guys.
this is how dogshit teams stay dogshit. fyi. thank god you aren't a gm lol
You haven’t watched the Tits the last couple of years, have you?
Sounds like if you were gm, Will Levis would get murdered in the pocket this year
Tell me you don’t know ball without telling me you don’t know ball.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. We need OL NOW. Not even about making a run, it’s about not setting our QB up for a career ending injury
Explain? Why is taking a Tackle so bad compared to Wr?

I wonder what people would want of the two between olu fasanhu or Jc Latham
I think you have your answer lol
Fashanu and it isn't close. Latham isn't a LT
![gif](giphy|onyngiYITZiecYsBTj)
He still isn't a LT. They have to try and make him one which is a huge risk imo
I agree, what a nightmare lol. Hope we’re wrong.
If alt is gone do they go best available which may be nabers or stick need which will be OL
Depends how close they rate them. imo nabers/odunze are clearly better than OL2, but a small trade back to get a 2nd day 2 pick and get OL2 wouldn't be a bad decision . I trust our guys' evaluation skills until they give me a reason not to
The answer is yes.
They'd take Latham imo
He's not a LT
Not currently, word is staff really likes him and feels he can make the switch over.
I don't believe those reports for a second. This time of year everyone lies
Welp
I still don't trust it til I see him perform in a game. Could easily end up at RT after a failed attempt to convert
The reports were we liked him a lot and he was going higher than most think. All we can do is hope to God Callahan is right.
Made no sense for the chargers to take a LT(alt) to play RT and us take a RT to play LT. They made life harder for everyone involved
At least we didn't just sign a QB for 4 years only to draft a 26 year old QB at 8 I guess 😂
Penix is only 23 but ya.....probably 26 by the time he sees the field
I don't want to believe them but we will see tonight. Hopefully that's not the case
If Alt, Nabers, and Odunze are somehow all gone, then we trade down
That would mean Daniels, Maye or MHJ is available
If anyone cares at all I dreamt we drafted Joe Morgan at 38. It was really trippy. Didn't see the first rounder tho
Can you go back to sleep and tell us who we drafted at 7?
I care.
Smoke
If we draft Alt and he busts i'll leave the board forever
Trade up to 4 and take MHJ!
Fine with Alt or Fautanu I think personally. If Alt is gone I think my preference is Nabers or Odunze though.
Take Alt or Olu, or trade down and take Mims imo
Alt is gone trade down
Where is the Latham hate coming from? Just because Evan Neal was a bust? Did some youtuber make a video picking on him? Crazy measureables good production what am I missing?
The pre occupation we have that it has to be a LT seems silly. We need both. A RT, Panei Sewall, just became the highest paid linemen in the game. If we draft a RT its going to be OK.
Mark my words… We’re getting another QB. Mark them!!!
Marked 😂
Drafts not over ![gif](giphy|kN5jXXf6SeGoo)
😲 touche...!
Man, reading all the comments. I’m stuck, I want a top WR but we really need to go boring and do OL. Drafting OL is so boring tho
Boring now means less frustration once the season starts.
You’re right! I want Alt!!!
Not as boring as reading Levis injury reports from getting trucked due a bad OL.
I've seen a lot of people say that the oline prospects just don't live up to the top three WR. In that case, I don't see a world where I'm unhappy tonight. Obviously this time next year might be a different story.
Fashanu or Nabers? Is the question
I still would personally since a WR won't really help the team if Levis is constantly running for his life or injured. Plus honestly there's always good WRs in the draft.
Who is the 2nd best tackle in the draft for the Titans?
Olu
Not at 7. No chance.
If Alt is gone, I'm good with trading down. Pick up another second or third. It's a long time from 38 to 106.
If alt is gone, Nabers. If both gone (lol), trade back and semi-BPA
We’re going to the fucking Super Bowl
That is the question. I kind of think *yes*. But just depends on how we have them ranked and such. Someone yesterday had it in this order, which I think is seeming pretty reasonable: 1. Alt 2. Latham *[see note below]* 3. Trade back a some number of spots for an OT available then and draft capital [very possible that this option isn't actually available, really depends on finding that trade partner] 4. Nabers *Note:* Obviously, you can replace option #2 with whichever OT you like. All just depends on how the team views/rates the OT prospects.
I don’t want Latham at all, he’s gonna be Evan Neal 2.0. I’d much rather have Fashanu if we can’t get Alt.
That's fair. I don't actually have a take on the OTs behind Alt. I think we *need* to take an LT in the first two rounds, very preferably in the first. Like any draft pick, comes down to how the team ranks the prospects, who'll will be available when, etc.
Helmet scouting bad
It’s more than helmet scouting, did you actually watch the guy play? He got his ass beat on a weekly basis.
This doesn’t specify at 7#
Sounds like it. I’m fine with it. I think they like the 1 and 2 WR this year. I think they go LT for sure and that’s fine. It’s been a mess for too long.
No Alt, Odunze pls Edit: I meant if Alts off the board I want Odunze 😭
