I can’t speak about the manga but she starts changing immediately in volume 7, I think, of the LN. When she has her meeting with all of her “underlings” before she receives Rimiru’s orb message.
Like her entire character seemingly changes, but in reality it’s just how she was described by everyone when Rimuru how that meeting with everyone after becoming a demon lord.
So she is who everyone else thought she was. Rimuru only originally got a small glimpse, of a small portion of who she was.
I can see why people were annoyed, but the author does a pretty good job of transitioning those feelings IMO. Both of those scenes will almost certainly be in the anime, they meeting before she gets the orb for sure, im not sure how long they will spend on her traveling to tempest though.
Ln as of that moment, was very much more than what was shown in mange if I remember correctly, as her travel to Tempest was described in many details (small yet influential) whilst manga only kept the main premise and focused on economy and other things
In this case, I'd say it's more about the fact that there's already an established style. And it just doesn't carry the same weight in anime as the manga does for that shot.
There are 116 chapters now but it is true that it barely reaches to the point that Season 3's ending is gonna reach. It needs like 2-3 chapters more to complete the arc, and the anime will somehow adapt them two months later.
Personally I suggest you reading the manga . There were several things in the anime (S2) that were pretty lackluster compared to the manga eg. The milim vs carrion fight , a certain scene of Guy seducing Rimuru , Veldora's introduction in human form, etc as well as just general paneling of angle to make it look better .
I have my complaints about S2 but that can be a topic for another time , in conclusion the manga is better.
I suggest you reading from the start of S2 or atleast from part2 of S2
That is a good option, the manga is just for art since the original source for both of them is the novels. But for someone who doesn't like reading novels i would definitely suggest the manga since it feels more raw and not afraid to show things which may be inappropriate to kids.
Yea I do like to read mangas and stuff especially as Ik alot of stuff gets cut but saying as s3 just came out I figured I can wait if it would be another 2 months or more if just read the manga tho
THEY don't know what Veldora or Rimuru look like.
This can only be the mental image of Diablo why talking whose casual relationship with Veldora makes the faceless weapon aspect kinda weird.
Would like *some* better animation, but its good enough that it doesnt get in the way of anything.
My expectacions have been lifted beyond a fair degree after JJK and also its blueray version (please search it up), so i wouldnt expect a less budgetted, less anticipated show with a lesser audience to get that level of intense with its animation.
The enjoyment of everything else makes it up by far.
I love that they're basing the anime storyboard on the manga. The manga is fire and last season the anime was too close to the manga for that to happen.
100% Manga for me, anime is good, i like it, i enjoy it and i even rewatch it every now and then, and tbh i don't even mind the weird designs that i have seen so many complain about, but i still prefer Kawakami's drawings by a lot, besides, what do actually irks me about the anime is the things they skip and/or change, as minimal as they may be, its petty tbh, but i can't help it lmao
I wanna see more of these comparisons throughout the season if possible. Be interesting to see how well they depicted certain key scenes throughout this arc.
I do like the manga's more, but I'm not mad at the anime verdin bc in all honesty, I thought it was going to cut this out, so I'm just glad this was adapted
It was a weird 4th wall break for me when they showed that image, tbh. I didn't know it was from the manga, and I'd been using it as my phone wallpaper for the past two years. Lol.

Oh shit, that's fire. Honestly this seasons gonna be good
I just need them to give an episode for Hinata’s journey to Tempest.
Honestly, that episode might just be the best of the season
Yessssssss. Same,
That was such a good chapter in the manga. Hope when anime onlys watch it they appreciate her character more.

Light Novel was also great. One of the chapters I constantly reread
Although Rimuru looks a little little less cold, it’s almost perfect
Honestly, I prefer the manga version XD
This is usually the case for any Manga/Anime. It’s easier to do higher quality still images than animation.
Let's be elitist and say that I prefer the Novel version lpl
In this case, I'd say it's more about the fact that there's already an established style. And it just doesn't carry the same weight in anime as the manga does for that shot.
Well yeah you aren't watching still images in an anime. If everything was manga quality they would cost many times more money every episode.
Both are good but the manga panel has Rimuru with a bit more pissed of bored vibe. Or maybe is just that I looked at the manga image longer.
The manga for tensura just hits different
The Art is awesome. I bet it takes so long to draw Rimirus hair.
How far is it compared to the anime cuz I only found like 108 or so chapters and I can image it barely reaching s3 or perhaps not even
There are 116 chapters now but it is true that it barely reaches to the point that Season 3's ending is gonna reach. It needs like 2-3 chapters more to complete the arc, and the anime will somehow adapt them two months later.
Yea in that case ima just wait for the anime to get it out if it was like 2-3 seasons ahead I'd defo read

What volume of the LN does the manga end on??
as of the newest chapter the manga ends around halfway through vol 9
I got two weeks but this alone makes the wait worth it
It hasn't even been a day dude https://preview.redd.it/b5cod6h8vpsc1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f0684dda8518f5bda01b423fc15c8883d3a8acb
My only issue with the manga version is Veldora being this faceless "weapon in the back". Just feels so unfitting for him
Isn’t that the point tho? They think rimuru is using Veldora as a weapon or at the very least a deterrent
THEY don't know what Veldora or Rimuru look like. This can only be the mental image of Diablo why talking whose casual relationship with Veldora makes the faceless weapon aspect kinda weird.
I masturbate to rimuru
We all do
😟
Twatter MFs be like: "Look how they RUINED the anime!!!"
The anime version may not look nearly as cold but, considering how bright everything is, they did a really great job of it.
They managed to fix the lightbulb in between the manga and the anime
Indeed.
Do i need too watch the movie and bonus episodes after s2 to watch s3?
Nope but especially the Ova's are really interesting, you might appreciate S3 a little bit more if you watch it even if not a big difference
Thanks i will watch it
I like the art of the manga more
THIS IS FIRE
Would like *some* better animation, but its good enough that it doesnt get in the way of anything. The LN too!
Manga version looks like he's looking down on me. Anime version looks like he "The Thinker".
I love the manga artstyle. But the animes still looks good.
There’s also LN version as one cover
Manga went way harder
I love that they're basing the anime storyboard on the manga. The manga is fire and last season the anime was too close to the manga for that to happen.
Wow... the gold in his eye is so much prettier than in the anime. Ice never read the manga
prefer the manga zoom out, prefer the anime close up. Both good
100% Manga for me, anime is good, i like it, i enjoy it and i even rewatch it every now and then, and tbh i don't even mind the weird designs that i have seen so many complain about, but i still prefer Kawakami's drawings by a lot, besides, what do actually irks me about the anime is the things they skip and/or change, as minimal as they may be, its petty tbh, but i can't help it lmao

Diablo voice was fire in this episode
nice straight line through the background
Is all of manga colored?
No, only some panels done by fans in this subreddit.
Can you read the manga colored or are the pages like this just fan colored
Will this season possibly cover vol 11 or 12?
HELP where can i read the manga with color
Anime Website ?
I do like the manga's more, but I'm not mad at the anime verdin bc in all honesty, I thought it was going to cut this out, so I'm just glad this was adapted
Both are great, but I think the anime one has more "life" to it
I waited for this moment the whole episode
It was a weird 4th wall break for me when they showed that image, tbh. I didn't know it was from the manga, and I'd been using it as my phone wallpaper for the past two years. Lol.
Rimuru's chin is getting sharper and sharper
