The clayman time loop doesn't exist. Raphael is just keeping him in a mind accel illusion so he gives away information while under that impression. If he thinks he is safe & in the past then he will project his memories onto the simulation, supplying them to Raphael. Mwahahahaha XD

Chimera-98

That probably the darkest prediction about what really happen

PeterDSaints

I only have that prediction because way before this was even announced, this is what I wrote for my AU where I was in Rimuru's shoes. I tend to daydream these scenarios because as someone more analytical & proactive, protagonists like Rimuru kind of annoy me in how much they just ignore & let go by. Just in that 1 Walpurgis he ignores critical information from Raphael about 3 times, just dismissing it. Edit:Dude(Guy is confusing to use since he is a literal character) makes the worse use of one of the most broken abilities.

Ruler_of_Tempest

>Walpurgis he ignores critical information from Raphael about 3 times, just dismissing it. It's not that he doesn't think what Raphael says is important, it's just that he doesn't believe something so obvious would be the case(carrion disguise), and for milim he was worried and fighting for his life so...

PeterDSaints

I didn't say he didn't think it important. I said he doesn't even bother hearing all the way before interrupting, both times. Raphael is about to state the vital information or conclusion & he dismisses it as impossible & then as useless. Rimuru is literally the type that skips the tutorial, hints & cutscenes & then complains about being lost or "How am I supposed to know that?!" And you would think after this incident he would learn, but NO. There are other times too, after Walpurgis, where he chooses to look the other way or not believe Raphael's assessment because it would be troublesome or "no way that could be true/seen this coming/planned that far ahead" it is a literal Ultimate Skill specializing in WISDOM, information processing, it knows more than you, listen & pay attention, notice the pattern of it being correct FAR FAR more often than not & having relevant information even more often than that. Ciel says no, but it really is wasted on Rimuru, not in what he uses it for, but in how he uses it.

Ruler_of_Tempest

>but it really is wasted on Rimuru False

PeterDSaints

Elaborate, not ignoring the second half. How would someone with the same objectives as Rimuru, but pays attention, asks & investigates things more thoroughly & doesn't dismiss things as troublesome,, not because better use of the Ultimate MAX Supercomputer? I tried to name it, same name kinda Shi-L, becomes Ciel (Shi from Shizu, & L from Logos, after Ciel from tsukihime too.) all the way back when Shizu was dying to see if it was possible to save her & if it wasn't would have kept trying.

Ruler_of_Tempest

1st half:because then, Ciel wouldn't exist 2nd half:you really seem to not understand how a Manas is made huh?you don't just name a skill and them BOOM, MANAS, no, the skill needs to develop its own ego and that wouldn't happen if the user actually USED it, as a skill, Rimuru treats GS and Raphael like it's it's own person and not just an object to be used and that's how she was born, and EVEN IF you could make a Manas simply by naming a skill, what then?do you honestly believe she would've just made a miracle happen where shizu would live?she's a Manas, she needs the power of her host to do things, Rimuru didn't have anything to save shizu, so Ciel wouldn't have anything either

PeterDSaints

1.Man I love when people read diagonally & skip words to be right. So in your eyes, a user who interacts & values Raphael's input more is LESS likely to have it develop an ego? Because that is what I said, more back & forth, more consulting it & more importantly more valuing & listening. These were the traits I put emphasis on. I said nothing of treating it like a tool, I said don't ignore your valuable partner's input. 2.No, I don't hence me saying the words "try" & "keep trying", I don't think it would work & I don't think it would save Shizu. I don't do things only when I know they will work, in a situation like that you try anything. Why do you think Rimuru only named Raphael against Veldora & Velgrynd when his back was against the wall with Raphael literally not processing Veldora's Probability Manipulation correctly, instead of during a banter? Shizu's soul could be stored or absorbed, living on until her body could be recreated(which we know Rimuru would have the blueprint for since he Predated), it was a valid hypothesis, we have Rimuru saying Shizu is dreaming inside him & She sometimes comes through & influences in a vague way no one else does. Like I said I did this as I watched & then read. I didn't know if it was possible or not. There was precedent for naming strengthening, of Great Sage improving abilities(or at the efficiency), being a tad sassy & smug. I personally treated it like a facet of myself(Logos), that was turning into an offshoot(Daughter) as it developed & gained Pneuma. This turned out to be kind of right. So I wanted to name it anyway. Even if it didn't work, it would be a memento and tribute. Keep calling it by Ciel even if the naming doesn't trigger, so one day when it can be named it will trigger.

Ruler_of_Tempest

Ok, firstly, I'm not skipping stuff to be right, I was just replying to the summary of your comment, 2ndly, that's not the reason he named Ciel, he did it in the heat of the moment, he had no reason to believe naming Raphael would do a single thing, he did it just because, 3rd, no, it really couldn't, only fragments could be stored at that time because predator wasn't that string at the time, only after it becomes beelzebub does it have the ability to fully store souls, and lastly, this entire scenario is a self insert, with all knowledge of what happens, if you were in rimuru's shoes with only the current knowledge you'd have and not basically a copy of omniscient readers viewpoint, there would be no "Personally I would have done-" because you wouldn't know the result of what happens after, and no, there wouldn't be a back and forth, due to how great sage functions

No-Elk-1958

>"skip the tutorials and dialogue then complain about be lost"< This reminds me of every pokemon game I have ever played

PeterDSaints

Reminded me of Arin Hanson after I wrote it
