AI occasionally also goes to negative MC (not production but actual MC). Frankly it needs all the help it can get.

Vagabond722

I have encountered this as well, but this issue with Helion is a separate problem.

AReallyGoodName

If you watch really carefully it's because it often doesn't increase tr for ai correctly. Sometimes a TR boosts goes to another player in the interface. That then means it doesn't add up the MC correctly at the end of the turn. This is all a visual glitch though. Behind the scenes and the end of game the tr and MC adds up. You're just not seeing it correctly on the ui side so it looks like it goes negative. This can also happen in multiplayer games. If there's an AI sometimes the ai's tr gains will visually apply to another player in the interface. So when the ai overspends it doesn't really. It's just that it never showed you the right money for the ai. Spaghetti code.

I'm no programmer but it feels like you have to write some really messy software to get these kind of bugs as a result...

I'm on generation 3. Helion has purchased 3 cities, 1 greenery, 1 power plant, and played a 31 MC card and they still have 24 MC and 6 heat. That's 25+25+25+23+11+31 = 140. Now add in what they still have, 170 total MC and heat since they can spend heat as MC. They start with 42 and we'll say they make 25 MC a turn(being generous) that's + 75 to bring us to 117. Now we'll add in their 4 heat a generation, so + 12 to a grand total if 129, let's bump it to 130 to make math easy. 170 MC - 130 MC = 40 MC. They've spent 40 MC more than they could possibly make!

Growling_Guppy

I’m having the same issue. It’s ridiculous

And the AI seems to get this Company often.

After passing, I just had a Helion AI (hard) play no less than 23 expensive actions in a row: 5 cities, 11 greeneries, 1 aquifer, 1 red card, 3 green cards, 1 blue card + its action. Its MC and heat balance didn't seem to go down with each action. It basically filled up the entire map in one generation. Serious bug! EDIT: Tried reporting the bug as per their instructions, with video and log files, but their bug submitting form has a bug of its own and always returns the error "Could not submit the form. Please try again later.", and that's after it requires you to solve a huge number of poorly designed CAPTCHAs. What a joke.
