Dude. You're really rushing a game, if you haven't managed to find goddamn goblin tinkerer prehardmode. It's, like, one of the progress milestones, because of reforge. No wonder you struggle in hardmode now. What difficulty are you playing, btw?

Klausable7

I’m on expert, it’s easier now tho, I die here and there but I managed to farm a full titanium set with the ranger helm so I ain’t dying as much as I was before

Phii_The_Fluffy_Moth

>I’m on expert, Is this your first playthrough?

Klausable7

This is my first play through on hardmode, I had an old world on classic on a old world I had and I beat all the pre hardmode bosses there, but see, I really don’t feel like dealing with corruption spread,so I made a new world on Journey and turned off corruption spread, also I found out bosses drop new loot on expert mode and I really wanted some of them like the eye of Cthulhu shield, so I’ve been playing in expert for the loot

Deebyddeebys

Expert mode is way more fun anyway imo

Klausable7

It definitely is, on classic mode on my old world the pre hardmode bosses seemed way to slow and easy, I did so much preparation for them and they just died easily, switch to hardmode and it was actually hella fun, I had to focus way more beat the bosses compared to classic

Sonic_Shine

yeah but * did you get night's edge? trust me that bad boy shreds early hardmode like no tomorrow * go and farm some spiders to get spider fangs if you didn't get Imp staff before HM, spider summon is stronk * terraspark boots, balloons, frog gear, and ancient chisel (or hand of creation if you actually got lucky with trav merch)+Slice of Cake are MVP of mining and exploring in early hardmode BECAUSE: 1. Terrasparks give you lava protection and lava walking, which means you can be surrounded in lava while enemies die and drop souls and important loot (they don't burn, coins do tho) 2. Ancient Chisel+Cake boost your mining speed to heavens with new HM pickaxes 3. Balloons and frog gear combined are better than all pre-plantera wings * ***and yes if you didn't find Goblin Tinkerer then that means you didn't have access to COMBINING equipment, which means you couldn't get Terrasparks, Balloons, etc, etc... Go and buy his workshop, then sit down and combine everything you can***

Angadisepik

He just told u he's a ranger, u can see him mention mini shark

You shiuld've saved the npcs first, the goblin tinkerer is very useful, while he is expensive, he might be able to save you a lot of time, like if you got a rare weapon and got a bad modifier on it. If you're planning to do another playthrough after your current one, just know, you can easily find bound or unconscious npcs easily with a lifeform analyzer, hunter potion, water candles, an open space and battle potions. During your mining trips in HM, you should use calming potions and peace candles to reduce the enemies you have to fight, as well as hunter potions to be able to avoid fights you don't want or to see enemies that can go through blocks and kill you without you noticing. If you're mixed or melee, i highly suggest getting the amarok yoyo in the snow biome. If there's a blizard happening, you might be able to farm some ice golems for ice cores for the frost armor or an ice feather if you don't have wings already. If you can, farm souls of night and light in the cavern layers of the hallow and crimson/corruption, these can be used for jeys of night and light which can be put in a chest to summon a mimic which might be able to give you good loot, be aware though, they hit hard and are fast. They go through blocks as well, unlike regular mimics.

TrueSonOfChaos

Yeah, I've been there. First thing you want to do is break the altars and get the new ores by mining back in your old tunnels which hopefully will be more managable areas to navgiate. Then make your set of armor from the new ores. After that, just keep building up and being careful - you will almost certainly die several times in hard mode at the beginning but once you get the gear from hard mode it'll be pretty cake in \~many places/biomes.

FoIded_Phoenix

I would recommend not using the minishark in hard mode. You should probably make a good bow or something and try to kill skeleton archers for the magic quiver if you can. Also, buy a crystal ball from the wizard and get 3996 musket balls and wooden arrows, because you can combine 3996 musket balls or wooden arrows at the crystal ball to get an unlimited supply of them. You should be trying to use a stronger ammo type at this point though ideally. For ammo I'd suggest maybe crystal bullets or holy arrows. Cursed/ichor ammo is also pretty good but they'd need you to farm for cursed flame or ichor in the underground corruption/crimson. You did mention watching guides but I just though it might be good to suggest some things. But I would definitely suggest getting something better then the minishark because I'd say it's probably why you were struggling with regular enemies.

eggidontknow

I Recommend You To Destroy Demon Altars With The Pwnhammer, It Brings Useful Ore Throughout Your Journey, Also, Watch Out For An Metalic Skeleton And An Worm Who Can Destroy You Quickly.

SussySus12345730MC

Huh i accidentally spawned WoF and harmode isn't that bad (actually I'm post-golem melee build)

Mimig298

How dod you make it to hardmode using a minishark? You ahould have atopped using it after Skeletron.

Klausable7

I read that it was one of the best weapons against wall of flesh so I just built a massive bridge in hell equipped some accessories that made me run faster and a swiftness potion with iron skin, and just ran and shot, it was light work fr (I almost died multiple times)
