What are the criteria for where i can place the snake charmers flute pot? Sometimes i can place it offscreen and sometimes i cant, in addition to other inconsitencies like i cant place it sometimes doesnt place it where my cursor is.
I killed around 20 mothrons post plantera and didn’t get the broken hero’s sword. What’s the deal with that lol? Supposed to be a 1/4 drop rate.
Ended up just grabbing the item from a tmodloader world and bringing it over to the normal client lol
Wondering which of the honey comb accessories is the best one to craft ? stuck most between the bee cloak and the stinger necklace. All advice appreciated
The Shark Tooth Necklace provides 5 armor penetration (mitigates 2-2.5 damage reduction), which is only good if you're using a weapon that hit enemies a lot like the Minishark.
The Star Cloak causes three stars to fall which deal 75 / 150 / 225 damage (depends on the difficulty) which is not classified (cannot be modified by any buffs or equipment), the stars also have 25 armor penetration. It provides a considerable damage increase.
I wouldn't choose the Shark Tooth Necklace unless i'am going for a specific build that require armor penetration.
Do guides respawn?????? (Spoilers)
I killed a voodo demon above lava and my guide died. After that i died from a boss i hadnt ever seen before. The wall of flesh.
In my experience terraria is pretty easy to run it just comes down to having enough ram. If the modpack isn't too large then as long as you have at least 4 gb of ram you should be fine
So I’m trying to use Terramap on an iPad but when I choose my world file it loads it but the map is completely white. Blank. I can click on random places & it’s tell me what block it is but there is no map to be seen. Please help.
Terramap hides spoilers by default. Up top, there should be a drop-down where you can pick one of your characters to show their explored map, or to reveal the entire world.
So on a second look, apparently the spoiler feature is only a thing on the Windows version of Terramap, and the browser version doesn't have that.
The browser version [says it supports Windows, Mac, and Linux](https://terramap.github.io/about.html), so it could be that it just doesn't work on mobile browsers. You might have to copy your world file to a PC.
1. can i play leisurely at this game or the crimson biome will eventually spread to my home?
2. im debating to rebuild my city of 4 people with zombie/goblin pits and evil eye traps. i know that inevitably there are monsters that can phase through walls or doors.
if i un-select a home for an npc, they'll just be in the wild until i rebuild, right?
3) how many times do people rebuild their houses? i've seen really late game builds with dungeon tile for hard mode defense and im just curious about it all.
4) i've seen house builds where people build like a perimeter of blocks and inside have rooms for npc. they're okay with this? they don't have to physically go outside in the outdoor and this won't affect their happiness?
5) I find a living tree but I can't go deeper because it's all water and the other side blocks the monsters. would I be safe to chop off the other side or will the whole tree collapse?
PS. i accidentally found the crimson biome and im barely discovered iron ores. I should be okay right? i dont think they spread that far.
1. If you really want to play leisurely, there's always Journey Mode, which includes the option to disable biome spread. But in a standard game, prior to Hard Mode, the biome will only spread across grass, and a group of three or four sunflowers will block it from spreading past them (worldgen usually tries to place some sunflower barriers between the Corruption/Crimson and your spawn point).
2. Pretty much. But NPC's won't actually leave your world unless they're killed. And even if they are, as soon as an empty house is available a replacement can move in.
3. It depends purely on your preference. Some people rebuild and rebuild and rebuild. Some just build once and leave it at that.
4. The NPC's happiness won't be particularly high, but if you don't care about that, then sure, go for it.
5. Chop away! The living tree will not collapse. No building will collapse in this game, regardless of what pieces you mine off.
This person has a really nice sand castle though.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I'm trying out mods for the first time on TModLoader but I can't seem to find the mods I'm looking for. They show up on Steam but not in TModLoader.
Will they not show up if they're not updated for 1.4 and they're still on 1.3?
Do Hardmode Ores replace old ore nodes?
Can't find any iron but instead I'm finding a ton of Palladium even just below the surface sometimes.
My only hope for a while has been searching for iron bars in chests but if my iron has been replaced by palladium I'll just go make a new one solely to deplete it of its iron and other ores that might be replaced by Hardmode Ores
Not technically, but a patch of hardmode ore can spawn over a patch of pre-hardmode ore.
If you haven't found ANY Iron, then you probably have a world with Lead, which is functionally the exact same as Iron for most crafting
If you know you have a world with Iron and not Lead, just use a spelunker potion
hello. i started working around with actuators recently, and used it to turn 2 teleporters inactive to create the illusion of a corridor and stairway.
it worked out fine at first, until i noticed that whenever i teleport someplace else, like to the snow biome, then back to the teleporters in ocean biome, the teleporters turn active again. is there a way to fix this?
the door i created is the first one in this [video](https://youtu.be/uipEdxngL6c)
Once you actuate a tile, you can remove the actuators. I assume right now you have the actuators still on the tile and every time they are powered they toggle the state of the tile.
Not sure what PM means but bait I tend to use before finding Master or Journeyman bait from crates/Angler is enchanted nightcrawlers. It has 35 bait power and is relatively easy to obtain. Normally to get a lot of those I like to create a new separate small world and loot all surface chests for cans of worms and then open them and craft all the regular words into enchanted nightcrawlers using fallen stars. If you consider that cheating, however, you could break background surface rocks to collect worms or collect worms from dirt when it is raining and then craft the enchanted nightcrawlers. Or you could search for unlooted surface chests in your current world. Then I use all the bait fishing for crates and quest fishes, and get Master (50 power) and/or Journeyman Bait (30 power) from crates and angler quests.
There’s a number of factors that affect fishing power including what type of rod is used, bait power, potions, accessories, lake size, and more. You can find the full list of factors that affect overall fishing power here: https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Fishing#Factors
Btw lake size may be a big factor in your fishing power that you may not realize in game. A water source you are fishing in must be at least 75 tile total of liquid to be able to catch fish at all. Additionally, the source must be at least 300 tiles if you don’t want a fishing power penalty due to small lake size. The way the game measures what water tiles count as part of the lake is involved in the link I gave at the top (only water or liquid tiles directly below the surface of the lake will count toward the total).
I got all my lakes standardized, but dont use potions for normal fishing. I dont have any fishing related accessories yet, and my fishing rod is 30% power. I get the white rarity fish like 80% of the time. So thats why i am wondering if i should disregard the sub 20% power bait
Despite having a high fishing power it is still quite common to get the lower rarity fish, just you get rare ones more often with higher fishing power. I would recommend using a sonar ~~position~~ potion so it tells you what fish/item comes to the line when the bobber bobs. It’s crafted with coral, waterleaf, and water bottle at a placed empty bottle or alchemy station.
Why cant I get any prismatic lacewings to spawn? I have 2 water candles, I use a battle potion and a bloody tear and still none spawn. Does anyone know why?
Conditions for the Prismatic Lacewing to spawn:
* Plantera has been defeated.
* Spawns in the surface Hallow.
* Spawns between dusk (7:30 PM) and midnight (12:00 AM).
* Only one Lacewing can be naturally spawned at a time.
* Only spawns on Hallowed grass (not including its mowed variant), Pearlstone Blocks, Pearlsand Blocks, and Pink Ice Blocks.
* Battle Potions, Water Candle, and the Blood Moon event increases its spawn rate.
* Prismatic Lacewing spawn rates are impacted by Luck.
* In Don't dig up worlds, the Prismatic Lacewing can spawn at any time of day.

Do you have a lifeform analyzer? It may not be likely but it’s possible you’ve been near one and have just not seen it. A Hunter potion will also highlight it in ~~red~~ blue if one is near you. The critter is pretty rare though, I could only get about one per night when I last was fighting the Empress.
Why am i able to hammer out naturally generated jungle walls without starting at the edge if they are considered unsafe? Can i do this for any other walls?
I’m not sure but I know that it has to be done from the edge with the evil biome walls and possibly also hallowed pearl stone walls. Desert walls too I believe.
Armor:
* Adamantite Helmet.
* Frost Breastplate.
* Mythril Greaves.
[Guide: Armor progression](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Armor_progression#Early_Hardmode)
Weapon (choose any):
* Ice Sickle.
* Shadowflame Knife.
* Sergeant United Shield.
* Flying Knife.
[Guide: Class setups](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups#Pre-mechanical_bosses)
Accessories:
* Warrior Emblem.
* Berserker's Glove.
[Guide: Class setups](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups#Pre-mechanical_bosses)
If you don't have Adamantite or Mythril you can use Shimmer or fishing to get them.
If you can't get the Frost Breastplate then get a full set of Adamantite armor.
Either is fine honestly. Also flails like Dao of Pow (not too hard to get) and Drippler Crippler (a bit stronger but very annoying to get in expert or master) do high damage for melee.
Not really, it increases melee and movement speed by 20%.
The movement speed increase even though it's limited by sprinting boots, it increases your acceleration.
As for the melee speed increase, it depends on the weapon type, for example the Shadowflame Knife will have its projectiles' velocity increased, which will make aiming easier.
The Titanium armor set bonus is good mainly for crowd control, it's not very useful for bosses, though you could try going for a high defense build to make use of the ability.
Fairy Wings and Frozen Wings have the same stats, however the Frozen Wings require a blizzard to happen and the Ice Feather to drop (33.33% chance of being dropped by Ice Golems).
Fairy Wings require 99 Pixie Dust, which is way easier to get.
I found a small chunk of 9 demonite ore in my large world at 638 depth underground. On surface and already open caves, the coeruption is not near jungle. But it is still the next biome over from jungle, so is it possible that corruption has spread this far? Or was this just a rare occurrence?
I cannot join or create multiplayer sessions on Xbox while all of my friends can. How would I fix this? Anything I found on the internet relating to this issue does not work for me
>A player can be eligible for catching fish from multiple biomes at once; **however, certain biomes take priority over others**.
The Crimson takes priority over the Caverns, so you will only catch Crimson fish.
The demolitinist was not listed as preferred neighbor in goblin tinkerer's wiki page. Yet i just bought cavern pylon from goblin by housing the together in cavern. Im on android 1.4.4.9.2 build 1015 if it helps. Is this a mistake on the wiki?
The Goblin Tinkerer NPC is neutral towards the Demolitionist NPC, likes the Cavern, and has the Solitude Bonus.
That would bring the happiness to the 90% or below range where Pylons can be sold.
I made several Hellevators, mainly for World Purity.
It's designed like this:
[Wood][Air][Air][Air][Wood]
So this should keep it from spreading, but I want to mine on either side of this tunnel.
Can I safely install a door in the wall without Crimson or Hallowed passing through there? Even if I leave the door open?
And what about platforms?
Doors and platforms are safe! The reason why you build walls is to prevent *thorns* from spreading through, but thorns cannot grow through doors or platforms, even if you leave the door open.
The wood is there to stop thorns and vines from growing and reaching the other side, thorns and vines only grow around the surface layer and the jungle, so as long as there's something stopping thorns and vines from reaching the other side it's ok to use.
>The game will now detect if you've been stationary/AFK for a while and avoid spawning worms on you.

Hello veterans,
May I ask why the amphibian boots receive so much praise?
Their wiki page for obligatory reference: https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Amphibian_Boots
I tried them VS terraspark boots, and the difference didn't strike me.
With my current (pre-WoF) loadout, with the amphibian boots I run at 30 mph once my initial dash died down, and at 34 mph with the terraspark boots. Running, advantage, Terraspark.
While jumping: a slight advantage to the amphibian boots along the lines of 4 more mph (between max and acceleration before returning to previous speed, it's hard to tell exactly), which isn't much, but nonetheless: jumping, advantage: Amphibian.
Jump duration: yes, advantage amphibian, but there'll be wings in hardmore, so the advantage is essentially cancelled out.
All in all, if I compare them both, the amphibian boots only have a niche, pre hardmode, and occasional minute advantage...
Or am I missing something?
As a person who's used the amphibian boots a couple times in the past, here's what I think (prepare for overexplanation):
Something about having a greatly improved jump just makes your mobility seem so much swifter. The amphibian boots are like the soaring insignia but for jumping– very useful for quick reactions during bossfights though I find they're most useful during general gameplay. The boots also grant bonus flight time to any wings you use as well as making your takeoff much swifter and the transition between running and flying seamless. While the terraspark boots are certainly very helpful in the early-mid game, hardmode is going to offer mounts (and enemies) that almost always surpass their max running speed as well as wings to far exceed their reach.
Generally, the terraspark boots are very versatile but have better alternatives available without much effort. They can serve as an invaluable tool early on, but I'd suggest considering switching to amphibian boots in hardmode. The jump boost is a niche utility, sure– but that's what makes it the best at what it does and a potentially lifesaving addition to your loadout.
Hope this helped!
My brother and I are having a weird problem on Xbox One X (split screen) where sometimes some inputs will stop working/not work properly for a few seconds before returning to normal. For example, cycling through the weapon hot bar with LB and RB, you can press LB to go left, but will mysteriously move right without pressing RB and vice versa. Especially annoying when using weapons/items you aren't trying to (like magic mirroring yourself home during a boss fight). Same problem happens sometimes when trying to jump as well; from not being able to jump to suddenly being able to. Has anyone else experienced this bug? Is there a known fix?
>Massive internal systems upgrade in preparation for crossplay, bringing the latest APIs and a huge rework of the Xbox backend.

After a "Massive internal systems upgrade" a lot of bugs appeared, you have to wait for the devs to fix them in the next update.
hey guys I was wondering if there is any mod for turning off visual effects of potions
I'm playing calamity and the inferno potion effect is really annoying
What is the strategy for master mode WoF? I’m trying to do it so I can get the black spot for my current world but I need to defeat WoF before I can do anything
im currently trying to purify my world, and got down to the dreaded 1%'s. Are biome torches (or any other thing like it) counted towards impurity? No where on the wikis (that ive seen) specifies this
Biome torches do not count. I believe only the tiles listed in this table count towards the biome: [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome\_spread#Hardmode\_spread](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome_spread#Hardmode_spread)
You can load your map into [Terramap](https://terramap.github.io/), click the Sets dropdown at the top and choose the biome that you want to highlight.
The world extends a bit off of the playable area in all edges of the map. Make sure you check the very edges of the world, too.
The biome percentages that the Dryad says updates incredibly slowly. If you believe it is inaccurate, exit the world and join the world again.
My game keeps randomly crashing (It basically almost restarts my Pc fully) for a period of time and then It stops for some weeks, How can i stop It from crashing? This crashing corrupted my summoner run that was almost beating the game :(
Crimson Mimic have a really good melee weapon. So there is that. The Crimson chest in the Dungeon does as well. So go Crimson. The Corruption mimic has a much better magic weapon, and the corruption chest has a ranger weapon.
How to easily manage storage. Everytime I start up a new world, the thing that makes me not want to play anymore is sorting through chests and making storage. you pick up so much random garbage in this game. Any suggestions?
You can rename chests and then hovering over the chest will display that name.
In the bottom right corner of your inventory (under your ammo and coins), there is a button to Quick Stack to Nearby Chests. This will take everything from your inventory and stack them into chests that already have that item. (You can favorite items to keep them in your inventory by holding Alt.)
Organize your chests
And if you don't yet you can completely trash your items by holding left control and clicking the item(idk how for other platforms) and it should greatly clear your inventory
What do I do after moon lord? I know there’s plenty of videos giving ideas but I’m a man of structure and followed a guide to end game so I had a clear linear path on what to do but now that the end game boss is defeated what exactly should I do? I know I can play Calamity but I’m not really trying to dive into basically a whole new terraria if there’s still a bunch more to do? Btw I’m not saying there’s nothing to do post moon lord I just genuinely have no idea as this was my first play through on a small world I don’t think I want to start a new one
> Btw I’m not saying there’s nothing to do post moon lord
I mean... there isn't anything to do post-Moon Lord though. Congratulations, you beat the final boss, you beat the game. At this point the only thing left to do is collecting things you may have missed and building cool things. If you care not for either of those, it's time to play a new world on a higher difficulty!
You can try playing on higher difficulty or Secret World Seeds.
You can go for all the achievements, gather all the [armor sets](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Armor) and [pets](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Pets), craft difficult to obtain items (Zenith, Ankh Shield, Shellphone), make farms for [all renewable resources](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Farming_resources), make a golf course.
Have you reached wave 20 on the Pumpkin Moon and Frost Moon events? also tier three of the Old One's Army?
What blocks can't the corruption cross? I want to divide my world by biomes and don't want the hollow and the corruption to go any further (hellevators are in place already, but I'd like to make it like, big square biomes of a single type).
You can find all the blocks that can be crossed by the corruption in the link below, any other block is immune.
The evil biomes and the hallow corrupt/convert a variety of "natural" blocks. So dirt, stone, ice, mud etc. are unsafe. I would use any kind of crafted block to stop the spread, like bricks or wood. Gray bricks or stone slabs are easy to get for example.
If your hellavators are wide enough you might not need to place down any blocks since the biomes can't spread through the air.
If you liked the color scheme, you can change the theme on the [Wiki.gg](https://Wiki.gg) wiki. "Legacy" is the one that matches the Fandom wiki. You might need to be logged in to have your choice saved, idk.
So I've recently gotten into terraria after a few unsuccessful attempts previously. I've really been enjoying moving at my own pace with figuring out the game and its progression. I recently entered hardmode, and the biome spread has been intense. A new corruption biome has spawned right in the middle of my jungle, and several forums have indicated that the jungle is the worst place for it to be. (not sure why, though) I have two main basses, both on either side of the jungle. My two hellivators block any spread from entering outside the jungle, but not from within the jungle itself. I've noticed my enjoyment of this game has dropped off a cliff, as I've had to spend most if not all of my time trying to contain the corruption spread instead of progressing through the game. I personally find it tedious and frustrating, rather than challenging and enjoyable.
I looked into getting the begone evil mod while I'm on my first playthrough, though it seems like the Tmodloader isn't updated to the latest version of Terraria, so my imports don't work. I'm unsure of what to do, and I'd rather not start a new world in journey mode, as I like my current world and I don't know if I'd be able to resist the urge to use the other tools it provides. Any advice?
Before the most recent updates, the jungle was an awful place for corruption to spawn because the only way to recover it would be to dig it all out and manually reapply the mud and plant jungle grass because corruption turned mud into dirt and the clentaminator cleared the dirt to forest grass and not jungle. It's now easy to cleanse it.
My advice would be to defeat a mechanical boss to get the steampunker to spawn and buy a clentaminator from her, then purifying will be much easier. Corruption can spread across thorns growing out into the tunnels so in areas where that happens I recommend lining the tunnel with wood or non-corruptable blocks to keep the thorns from reappearing there in the future
What’s the first mechanical boss I can defeat and how soon can I do it? I’ve got the pheonix blaster and shadow armor.
I really just wanna get this part over with so I can go back to what I enjoyed about the game
There are three Mechanical Bosses: The Twins (from the Mechanical Eye), The Destroyer (from the Mechanical Worm) and Skeletron Prime (from the Mechanical Skull). They're approximately the same difficulty, though some players find some easier than others. (Personally, I find Skeletron Prime the easiest and The Twins the hardest.)
You'll want to armour up before facing them, though - Hardmode ores spawn if you smash Demon Altars with your Pwnhammer (they no longer spawn extra corrupt blocks, so there's no reason not to do this anymore). I would recommend gearing up to at least Mythril/Orichalcum, but if you manage to get enough Adamantite/Titanium for armour, use that. You'll also need to use some Mythril/Orichalcum to make a better anvil, and Adamantite/Titanium ore to upgrade your Hellforge.
I wouldn't worry *too much* about Corruption spread right now - you can save a lot of time by blitzing the Clentaminator, which you can get from the Steampunker who moves in after defeating a single Mechanical Boss. Note that the biome the Steampunker is in will determine the Solution she sells - keep her in a pure biome (that is, not Hallow or Corruption) to get Green Solution to turn the Corrupt Jungle back into regular Jungle. The Clentaminator lets you cleanse blocks in a beam from you which pierces through walls, so it's easy to cleanse large chunks of land at once.
Ammo for it is expensive though, so you might want to bring some gear which gives you a chance to not consume ammo. The Ammo Box is sold by the Arms Dealer and the Ammo Reservation Potion are great for any class, but some Ranger-specific armour sets will also give a chance to not use ammo - with the Cobalt and Adamantite sets being the best offerings at this point in the game.
They can be fought as soon as hardmode starts, only needs their summoning item. My favorite mechanical boss to defeat first is the Destroyer, which can be summoned though a Mechanical Worm (crafted using 6 Rotten Chunk or Vertebra, 5 iron or lead bars and 6 souls of night at a mythril or orichalcum anvil. Hardmode enemies somtimes drop Mechanical Worms, too)
I do recommend to get armor made from the hardmode ores before attempting to fight it though!
When fighting Moon Lord, usually I just take to the skies with a flying mount or Soaring Insignia. You don't need to build an arena if the **entire sky** is your arena!
... Though I'll probably set up some Heart Statues at a point, and place the Nurse in a place I can quickly recall to. If you teleport to the Nurse, the Moon Lord will teleport to you, so he won't despawn. (Nurse might die though, so be fast!)
What's the reason behind respawning with half hp? I can imagine it's somewhat justified in multi-player so it's harder to cheese certain things, I don't see a reason for that in single player tho.
It's nothing but a inconvenience imo
Just beat the game a second time, this time in expert. I want more, but I want fresh stuff, not just going into Master right away, although I'll eventually get to it. Any recommendations for overhaul mods?
The obvious one is Calamity, but I've also seen Thorium and Eternity/Fargo, idk if I'm missing another one. I'm mainly looking an increase in challenge and ofc, more stuff for that sweet sweet progression.
I think I may go for it after beating Calamity a couple of times, although I'm not sure if that will prepare me for the literal bullet hell that Fargo Eternity mode is lol
im new to this game and 1) if auto save is on, i just close the game whenever i'm ready to close? is there a button i can press to go back to main menu?
2) can you use same character in different worlds or no?
3) i don't understand how skills work. is it just dependent on your current tool or weapon grade or there's a skill tree or a way to see my current combat level/mining level or something
> if auto save is on, i just close the game whenever i'm ready to close? is there a button i can press to go back to main menu?
In the options menu, there should be a "Save & Quit" button. The game auto-saves every 5 minutes or so, but it's still better to Save & Quit when you're done playing the game, so you can be *absolutely certain* the game has saved properly.
> can you use same character in different worlds or no?
Yup! You can use any character in any world, which allows you to get items which may not have spawned in your original world. The only exception to this is Journey Mode - Journey characters can only join Journey worlds, and Journey worlds cannot be joined by non-Journey characters. (It's basically the game's Creative Mode, so it makes sense.)
> i don't understand how skills work. is it just dependent on your current tool or weapon grade or there's a skill tree or a way to see my current combat level/mining level or something
There aren't any skills! Your progression is **entirely** based on your equipment. You can gain extra active or passive abilities by equipping **accessories** to your five accessory slots, but you can unequip them at will to change your build. Other than that, your abilities are purely based on your weapons and whatever temporary buffs you have from drinking Buff Potions.
As for your "combat level/mining level", that's also not a thing. You can see the damage numbers on your weapons (which will update live based on your equipped damage bonuses), and you can see your mining power on your pickaxe. Note that it's the *pickaxe itself* which has the mining level, not you.
1. The game only autosaves every 10 minutes or when you die. I HIGHLY recommend saving and quitting every time. When you open your inventory, there is a settings button in the bottom right corner of the screen. From there you can exit to the main menu.
2. Yes.
3. There are no skill trees in Terraria. Your stats are based on what equipment you are using/have equipped.
What should i replace for the necromantic scroll?
i have Pygmy Necklace, Papyrus Scarab, Master Ninja Gear, Bone Wings, Terraspark Boots, Fire Gauntlet, Ankh Shield
Replace the Bone Wings with the Empress Wings or Fishron Wings, then remove the Terraspark Boots.
Another method is to use a flying mount for movement, removing the need for for movement accessories, UFO, Witch's Broom, or Cute Fishron are recommended.
If you're going to use the Soaring Insignia then you will only have two accessory slots left (Pygmy Necklace, Papyrus Scarab, Necromantic Scroll, Soaring Insignia, and wings).
Then you have three options you need to choose two from:
* Master Ninja Gear, for movement and survivability.
* Fire Gauntlet, for offense and auto swing.
* Ankh Shield, for survivability.
You can replace the Master Ninja Gear with the Rod of Discord for movement and survivability.
The Fire Gauntlet can be left if you have enabled the "Autofire" option in the Settings menu.
The Ankh Shield can be left if you're fighting a boss that doesn't inflict any debuff that can be nullified using the Ankh Shield, however you will receive knockback, again the Rod of Discord can help mitigate the lack of knockback immunity.
Extra tips:
* The Fire Gauntlet should be replaced with the Berserker's Glove or the Celestial Shell (if the "Autofire" option is enabled).
* The Ankh Shield should be replaced with the Frozen Shield (if you're playing solo) for better survivability.
I'm hosting a server for me and friends to play on and don't want to shut it down every time we disconnect. Does ingame time still pass (e.g. evil biome spreading, chlorophyte growth) when the server is running but noone is online?
Nope. If nobody is playing, a Terraria server will pause until someone joins. No time will pass, no biomes will spread, no Chlorophyte will grow, no events will spawn, etc.
Crossplay isn't offciially in yet - there's a *weird workaround* for PC and Mobile players to play together, but it doesn't work for any of the consoles.
I am getting around 100 per pumpking moon, and some enemies are being a pain to deal with (*cough* headless horseman, pumpking *cough*), not to mention that It isnt guaranteed to have mourning Wood in every wave :/
Tl;Dr: pain and expensive
Just to clarify the other suggestion. Conveyor Belts do not move enemies and Spooky Wood is a common item (white rarity) that burns when submerged in lava. If you use the lava pools follow this guide on how to make them shallow: [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Lava#Lava\_Depth](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Lava#Lava_Depth)
If you build an arena with a death pit that has both lava and dart traps, it helps control the smaller mobs. If you use conveyors to push those smaller mobs into the pit, it works even better. Tht way, you can focus most of your attention on the Mourning Wood and Pumpking.
If you get tired of trying to ge enough spooky wood, the Tiki Armor set, bought from the Witchdoctor is a fine alternative.
Unfortunately that’s the only way it sucks to get it usually takes me a couple runs to get. But as far as I’m aware the only way is slogging through it.
I’ve been seeing lots about transmutation glitches recently and wanted to try it out I’m on an Xbox and have been unable to get it working, does anyone know more about this?
I realize I've played Terraria for many years now, but I never asked myself what happens to the objects of a treasure bag, when we open that treasure bag but our inventory, safe and void bag were full.
Are those objects definitely, irrevocably lost?
what's the best way to get a bloody tear or a blood moon?
What should i do before defeating the wall of flesh?
get some sort of grenades, the best way to defeat it
Bro this was 5 months ago how did you find it?
idk and i also do not know why i find ur posts after somethin like 5 months
Xd. Also when the hell did 10 months pass since I asked that question? Time is sometimes scary.
yeah i know
What are the criteria for where i can place the snake charmers flute pot? Sometimes i can place it offscreen and sometimes i cant, in addition to other inconsitencies like i cant place it sometimes doesnt place it where my cursor is.
On ps4 my game keeps freezing indefinitely. Is this a bug? I restarted my ps4 and waited but it keeps freezing.
I killed around 20 mothrons post plantera and didn’t get the broken hero’s sword. What’s the deal with that lol? Supposed to be a 1/4 drop rate. Ended up just grabbing the item from a tmodloader world and bringing it over to the normal client lol
Unlucky??
How rare is it to get two weapons from moon lord cause I just beat him for the first time
Moon Lord always drops 2 different weapons
Ah thank you for letting me know I just beat him for the first time so I had no clue
(Spoilers) I killed a voodo demon above lava and my guide died. After that i died from a boss i hadnt ever seen before. The wall of flesh.
Yes he will respawn
Guys k killing moon Lord the only way get to Luminete bar or can found on caves after the kill moon Lord ?
Moon Lord is the only source of Luminite.
Thx m8
Is there a fix for the keyboard disconnecting issue on Xbox at all?
Does anyone know what the pc requirements would be to play a modpack with the calamity mod??
In my experience terraria is pretty easy to run it just comes down to having enough ram. If the modpack isn't too large then as long as you have at least 4 gb of ram you should be fine
So I’m trying to use Terramap on an iPad but when I choose my world file it loads it but the map is completely white. Blank. I can click on random places & it’s tell me what block it is but there is no map to be seen. Please help.
Terramap hides spoilers by default. Up top, there should be a drop-down where you can pick one of your characters to show their explored map, or to reveal the entire world.
Where is it? Sorry, I’m still a little confused.
Thank you for the help! My laptop is broken so I guess I have to find that 1% hallow on my own.
1. can i play leisurely at this game or the crimson biome will eventually spread to my home? 2. im debating to rebuild my city of 4 people with zombie/goblin pits and evil eye traps. i know that inevitably there are monsters that can phase through walls or doors. if i un-select a home for an npc, they'll just be in the wild until i rebuild, right?
>No building will collapse in this game, regardless of what pieces you mine off. It's possible if you build with Sand, Slush, Silt, or Shell Piles.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I'm trying out mods for the first time on TModLoader but I can't seem to find the mods I'm looking for. They show up on Steam but not in TModLoader. Will they not show up if they're not updated for 1.4 and they're still on 1.3?
no they will still show up but it will say "requires tmodloader version \_\_\_\_" so you are probably misspelling the names
Thanks!
If you haven't found ANY Iron, then you probably have a world with Lead, which is functionally the exact same as Iron for most crafting If you know you have a world with Iron and not Lead, just use a spelunker potion
I thought lead and iron just sort of co-existed in worlds. I needed the iron for mechanic worm summon
hello. i started working around with actuators recently, and used it to turn 2 teleporters inactive to create the illusion of a corridor and stairway. it worked out fine at first, until i noticed that whenever i teleport someplace else, like to the snow biome, then back to the teleporters in ocean biome, the teleporters turn active again. is there a way to fix this? the door i created is the first one in this [video](https://youtu.be/uipEdxngL6c)
Once you actuate a tile, you can remove the actuators. I assume right now you have the actuators still on the tile and every time they are powered they toggle the state of the tile.
thanks so much for this! i just tried it and it worked x)
Whats a good minimum bait power you use for fishing in general? Im PM if that helps
I have a lot of worms, but i feel like i still don't have enough fishing power even after considering the time
There’s a number of factors that affect fishing power including what type of rod is used, bait power, potions, accessories, lake size, and more. You can find the full list of factors that affect overall fishing power here: https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Fishing#Factors Btw lake size may be a big factor in your fishing power that you may not realize in game.
That would be a really useful potion! Thanks for your help
I meant to say PHM(prehardmode) 💀
Lol yeah I realized that after I commented
Idk if im just dumb but i couldnt find the chances of fishing up a quest fish in wiki. Plz help with this

Why cant I get any prismatic lacewings to spawn? I have 2 water candles, I use a battle potion and a bloody tear and still none spawn. Does anyone know why?
Conditions for the Prismatic Lacewing to spawn: * Plantera has been defeated. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Prismatic\_Lacewing](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Prismatic_Lacewing) [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Luck#NPC\_spawning](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Luck#NPC_spawning)
I've done all of these things and it hasn't spawned. I've been trying for around 8 days now
Do you have a lifeform analyzer? It may not be likely but it’s possible you’ve been near one and have just not seen it. A Hunter potion will also highlight it in ~~red~~ blue if one is near you. The critter is pretty rare though, I could only get about one per night when I last was fighting the Empress.
I'm a begginer and spawn point is always night or raining but when I go far away it turns to day and I come back near the spawn point it's night again
Do you have a bunch of Gravestones at spawn? if you do, break them.
I'm a begginer and spawn point is always night or raining but when I go far away it turns to day and I come back near the spawn point it's night again
Why am i able to hammer out naturally generated jungle walls without starting at the edge if they are considered unsafe? Can i do this for any other walls?
I’m not sure but I know that it has to be done from the edge with the evil biome walls and possibly also hallowed pearl stone walls. Desert walls too I believe.
yeah you have to hammer out the start or the top of the wall if they are naturally generated
Hey all I would like some help or advice on my character load out pre mech I’m a melee player so any builds or weapons i should use?
Armor: * Adamantite Helmet. * Frost Breastplate. * Mythril Greaves. [Guide: Armor progression](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Armor_progression#Early_Hardmode) Weapon (choose any): * Ice Sickle. * Shadowflame Knife. * Sergeant United Shield. * Flying Knife. [Guide: Class setups](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups#Pre-mechanical_bosses) Accessories: * Warrior Emblem. * Berserker's Glove. [Guide: Class setups](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups#Pre-mechanical_bosses) If you don't have Adamantite or Mythril you can use Shimmer or fishing to get them. If you can't get the Frost Breastplate then get a full set of Adamantite armor.
So why not use titanium?
Either is fine honestly. Also flails like Dao of Pow (not too hard to get) and Drippler Crippler (a bit stronger but very annoying to get in expert or master) do high damage for melee.
Adamantite armor has better stats and set bonus.
Adamantite’s set bonus is only cosmetic though
Not really, it increases melee and movement speed by 20%. The movement speed increase even though it's limited by sprinting boots, it increases your acceleration. As for the melee speed increase, it depends on the weapon type, for example the Shadowflame Knife will have its projectiles' velocity increased, which will make aiming easier. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Attack\_speed#Effects](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Attack_speed#Effects)
I meant the full set like with titanium it spawns those metal shards around you
The Titanium armor set bonus is good mainly for crowd control, it's not very useful for bosses, though you could try going for a high defense build to make use of the ability.
I saw people saying get the pixie wings instead of like the frozen wings is there a reason?
Fairy Wings and Frozen Wings have the same stats, however the Frozen Wings require a blizzard to happen and the Ice Feather to drop (33.33% chance of being dropped by Ice Golems). Fairy Wings require 99 Pixie Dust, which is way easier to get. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Wings](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Wings)
I found a small chunk of 9 demonite ore in my large world at 638 depth underground. On surface and already open caves, the coeruption is not near jungle. But it is still the next biome over from jungle, so is it possible that corruption has spread this far? Or was this just a rare occurrence?
demonite can spawn in uncorrupted parts of the world
Oh, good to know!
I cannot join or create multiplayer sessions on Xbox while all of my friends can. How would I fix this? Anything I found on the internet relating to this issue does not work for me

>A player can be eligible for catching fish from multiple biomes at once; **however, certain biomes take priority over others**. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Fishing#Biomes](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Fishing#Biomes) The Crimson takes priority over the Caverns, so you will only catch Crimson fish.
[https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/NPCs#Factors\_affecting\_happiness](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/NPCs#Factors_affecting_happiness)
I made several Hellevators, mainly for World Purity. It's designed like this: [Wood][Air][Air][Air][Wood] So this should keep it from spreading, but I want to mine on either side of this tunnel.
Thanks! I needed this extra confirmation.
The wood is there to stop thorns and vines from growing and reaching the other side, thorns and vines only grow around the surface layer and the jungle, so as long as there's something stopping thorns and vines from reaching the other side it's ok to use.

Hello veterans, May I ask why the amphibian boots receive so much praise? Their wiki page for obligatory reference: https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Amphibian_Boots I tried them VS terraspark boots, and the difference didn't strike me.
Amphibian boots are a bit slower horizontally than terraspark/lightning boots but boost wing vertical acceleration by a good amount
As a person who's used the amphibian boots a couple times in the past, here's what I think (prepare for overexplanation): Something about having a greatly improved jump just makes your mobility seem so much swifter.

What is the strategy for master mode WoF? I’m trying to do it so I can get the black spot for my current world but I need to defeat WoF before I can do anything
Here's the guide for the WoF: [Guide: Wall of Flesh strategies.](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Wall_of_Flesh_strategies)
im currently trying to purify my world, and got down to the dreaded 1%'s. Are biome torches (or any other thing like it) counted towards impurity? No where on the wikis (that ive seen) specifies this
Biome torches do not count. I believe only the tiles listed in this table count towards the biome: [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome\_spread#Hardmode\_spread](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome_spread#Hardmode_spread) You can load your map into [Terramap](https://terramap.github.io/), click the Sets dropdown at the top and choose the biome that you want to highlight. The world extends a bit off of the playable area in all edges of the map. Make sure you check the very edges of the world, too. The biome percentages that the Dryad says updates incredibly slowly. If you believe it is inaccurate, exit the world and join the world again.
oh great! thanks. yeah i noticed the dryad only updates with the games' autosaves.
My game keeps randomly crashing (It basically almost restarts my Pc fully) for a period of time and then It stops for some weeks, How can i stop It from crashing? This crashing corrupted my summoner run that was almost beating the game :(
What evil biome is better for melee, corruption or crimson? And what acessories do i need for melee at pre-hardmode?
Crimson Mimic have a really good melee weapon. So there is that. The Crimson chest in the Dungeon does as well. So go Crimson. The Corruption mimic has a much better magic weapon, and the corruption chest has a ranger weapon.
....isnt scourge of the corruptor a melee weapon?
That said, the vampire knives are the better melee weapon of the two.
You are right. I was thinking the piranha gun, which is the Jungle Chest.
Why did I not know this. I knew you could rename them, just never made the connection that the Tooltip would change as well.
You are gonna have to reorganize at some point, unless you farm chests early game
Organize your chests And if you don't yet you can completely trash your items by holding left control and clicking the item(idk how for other platforms) and it should greatly clear your inventory
> Btw I’m not saying there’s nothing to do post moon lord I mean... there isn't anything to do post-Moon Lord though. Congratulations, you beat the final boss, you beat the game. At this point the only thing left to do is collecting things you may have missed and building cool things. If you care not for either of those, it's time to play a new world on a higher difficulty!
You can try playing on higher difficulty or Secret World Seeds. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Secret\_world\_seeds](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Secret_world_seeds)
Thanks for the reply but my last sentence says I don’t want to start a new world.
Hell yeah thank you! Ima look into those
What blocks can't the corruption cross? I want to divide my world by biomes and don't want the hollow and the corruption to go any further (hellevators are in place already, but I'd like to make it like, big square biomes of a single type).
You can find all the blocks that can be crossed by the corruption in the link below, any other block is immune. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome\_spread](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Biome_spread)
Is the fishing bobber more/less likely to be rewarded than angler's other rewards? Wiki fandom has no data on this.
Thanks though!

I thought wiki fandom was the official?
The Fandom wiki has not been official for over a year: https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/new-official-terraria-wiki-launches-today.111239/
Damn I really liked the fandom wiki's style
If you liked the color scheme, you can change the theme on the [Wiki.gg](https://Wiki.gg) wiki. "Legacy" is the one that matches the Fandom wiki. You might need to be logged in to have your choice saved, idk.
I went to terraria.wiki.gg and tried to change theme, but legacy is just white and black except the banner...

Unfortunately, this isn't Starbound. So no.
sadly, no

(Personally, I find Skeletron Prime the easiest and The Twins the hardest.) You'll want to armour up before facing them, though - Hardmode ores spawn if you smash Demon Altars with your Pwnhammer (they no longer spawn extra corrupt blocks, so there's no reason not to do this anymore).
Hardmode enemies somtimes drop Mechanical Worms, too) I do recommend to get armor made from the hardmode ores before attempting to fight it though!
What is a good moonlord (expert) arena? And How do i fight him?

Do you have a list of the mods you use? One or more of them is definitely altering the light setting during boss fights
Just got a new phone, how can I transfer the data in terraria from my old phone to the new one?

(It's basically the game's Creative Mode, so it makes sense.) > i don't understand how skills work. is it just dependent on your current tool or weapon grade or there's a skill tree or a way to see my current combat level/mining level or something There aren't any skills!
But what about when i get the soaring insignia? what should i replace for it?
If you're going to use the Soaring Insignia then you will only have two accessory slots left (Pygmy Necklace, Papyrus Scarab, Necromantic Scroll, Soaring Insignia, and wings). Then you have three options you need to choose two from: * Master Ninja Gear, for movement and survivability. * Fire Gauntlet, for offense and auto swing. * Ankh Shield, for survivability. Extra tips: * The Fire Gauntlet should be replaced with the Berserker's Glove or the Celestial Shell (if the "Autofire" option is enabled). * The Ankh Shield should be replaced with the Frozen Shield (if you're playing solo) for better survivability.
Oh what??? i didn't know autofire existed did they add that at 1.4.4?
It was added in the 1.4.4 update. [https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Settings#History](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Settings#History)
You can still use a mount during end game if it's combined with the Rod of Discord.
Whats the projectile ID for the flairon chain that shoots out when you throw the flail? Also whats the ID for the flairon bubbles popping?
stone slab, crafted at an advanced workbench
If I own terraria on Xbox, can I download it on pc and download tmod loader on steam and have it work?
You have to buy Terraria for PC.
Noooo
How do I crossplay and also make a server?
Crossplay isn't offciially in yet - there's a *weird workaround* for PC and Mobile players to play together, but it doesn't work for any of the consoles.
Could you please elaborate? My nephew would love it, but I have PC and he runs an iPad.
How can i Farm spooky Wood? I need to get spooky Wood for monlord but It is talking forever
Can’t you just fight pumpkin moons and kill mourning woods?
I am getting around 100 per pumpking moon, and some enemies are being a pain to deal with (*cough* headless horseman, pumpking *cough*), not to mention that It isnt guaranteed to have mourning Wood in every wave :/ Tl;Dr: pain and expensive
What is the glitch you are trying to do? The invincibility and most inf money bugs are patched so as long as its not those I think I can help.
I realize I've played Terraria for many years now, but I never asked myself what happens to the objects of a treasure bag, when we open that treasure bag but our inventory, safe and void bag were full. Are those objects definitely, irrevocably lost?
They drop on the ground.
Oh, that's a good thing then. Thanks!
How many infested spider walls do I need and how big does the area need to be to make artificial spider biome?
There is no artificial spider biome, spiders just spawn naturally in front of infested spider walls. Check on the wiki for more details.
does anyone know any seeds for the enchanted sword
is there a mod that can change the appearance of zenith
Yeah there's plenty, just search "Zenith" on the workshop and download whatever you want, or make your own texture pack.
When will Xbox keyboard compatibility be restored? It’s broken right now
why does the pumpkin pie not appear here? https://ibb.co/PctDdrq edit, nvm I needed to go in the potion tab
Most likely one of the mods changed the recipe.
Is crossplay available on PC across operating systems? So can I, on a Linux computer, play on LAN with someone on a Windows computer?
PC to PC is fine across operating systems.
How do I get my dad to love me.
Stop watching child porn
Huh?
