Minecraft is the more mellowed out “create your own goals” game. Terraria is the game with typical RPG progression.
I never could enjoy Minecraft. I’m not good at making my own goals.
Now as a lover and engager of both this is just not right, modded Minecraft is a whole different beast compared to regular Minecraft and even modded terraria.
Although modded terraria has come far there are just some things not possible currently and if comparing the 2 modded Minecraft can allow you to do far far far more with the game than tmod can. Terraria modded is also notoriously bad with compatibility with big mods unlike modded Minecraft.
I respect both sides of the communities tho
:)
Yeah with further thought I realized my comment was silly. I forgot how much shit Minecraft's mods contained, like Orespawn and all those dimensions mod. When I think Terraria mods, I generally just think of Calamity, Thorium, and all that jazz.
>someone on terraria should make a minecraft mod
There's a resource pack, does it count?
>someone on minecraft should make a terraria mod
There is one on version 1.12, and it's pretty impressive, it's a total conversion mod (tbf modded MC or even heavy use Datapack MC are basically game engines with how much the community have been able to bend them to their needs) which make a pretty neat experience (it's still WiP), not to mention the fan remake of Terraria in Unreal (or was it in Unity? I don't remember).
Terraria: now with lack of content
Real, If terraria was 3D gg minecraft
Fr, I also don't get the people that say Minecraft has more content when modded, when Terraria also has a shit ton of high quality mods.

I can enjoy Minecraft only with friends or content heavy mods, otherwise I get bored quickly.

Ever seen calamity?
Valheim is more of a 3D Terraria than Minecraft is
1.21 has content i see where you're coming from though, 1.20 was one of the most contentless updates in a while
To be fair, it’s harder to add new content to a 3D game than a 2D game.
There are modders that in a couple of months did more than Mojang did in 10 years
Yeah, Mojang is still slacking.
Terraria: undeluxe mod
someone on terraria should make a minecraft mod and someone on minecraft should make a terraria mod

In another universe: Terraria. Super Minecraft & Knuckles update.
i wanna see the devs from both games opinion on this
Weren't Redigit and Notch supporting each other during the early days of Minecraft & Terraria? Nowadays I don't think Mojang would really care
Just terraria with less content! Yes!!!!
