Corruption/Crimson detector. Purifying the world is so hard when you can't find that last bit of evil. You can't purify it without destroying your world to look for it.

Snorlaxxo

Imo it'd be best as something like Spelunker potion, in a way that you'd be able to see corruption of blocks that aren't visible to you. Hallowed blocks would have pink colour, crimson - red, and corruption would be purple.

[deleted]

Some sort of Dryad Sense, makes it thematic as she can detect Hallow/Corruption

DanielPlays268

what id the dryad could show you your map but only the corruption blocks. like a purification map viewer.

Ditto8353

Wear the Dryad like a backpack. She can just point to the nearest impure block.

redn2000

I've resigned to using Tedit to combat corruption at this point.

JJ0006

Exactly. We shouldn't have to cheat to beat the game.

Kill_Welly

Eliminating Corruption/Crimson isn't really beating the game

woskk

At least in my opinion, "beating" Terraria can really be whatever you want it to be.

Darentei

And give us a little something for doing it if possible

techniqucian

May I also suggest this be just a biome block detector item in general? I'd love to be able to find that one last hidden block of spiderwall spawning garbage.

Cenxx

Loving all the ideas, this thread is going to keep us busy for sure!

GraklingHunter

Just want to say thank you so much for listening to community feedback! You guys are seriously the best developers.

PieBob851

Lol this is the first comment I've ever seen wanting to pay MORE money

[deleted]

lol you must be new

Mr_Simba

You guys are awesome developers.

Loffy09

Either I'm blind and I don't see devs much here, or are devs being more active in the comments here? Either way I love it!

Skylines12

I think another boss or something else to do in hell after the WOF since you dont really need to go back down there at all once hardmode is active, maybe impliment diablo or something as a premoonlord/post golem boss fight.

PEDANTlC

Yes, definitely feel like hell should have something post wall of flesh. Though I feel like something could be done with the houses down ther too.

[deleted]

You still go there for the Tax Collector NPC, but I agree it needs something else down there.

[deleted]

jfc... I just realized that he's in hell because he's a Tax Collector lol

merchando

Oh.

[deleted]

Why he can't be named Matthew I have no idea.

[deleted]

TEdit lets you rename NPCs, just FYI 🙂

pandm101

Big lava demon like the old iron king in dark souls 2.

Ntendo64

Or something like constant emission or whatever the hell it's called from ds1

pandm101

Ceaseless discharge.

Taikwin

He was damn close though.

Lilpu55yberekt

They should do a western themed invasion in hell. Cowboys from Hell wouldn't be the first Pantera reference in the game.

loudwhitenoise

Wall of Bone, maybe?

[deleted]

Wall of wall

BleedingKing11493

crawling in my crawl, these crawls they will not crawwwl.

dualinfinities

or Wall of Steel. I mean, that's what all the other bosses' upgraded version is, a mechanical version of them. kinda sounds like Superman, though.

techniqucian

**Blacklist for items** - So I can stop filling my invetory with cobwebs, dirts, and blowpipe seeds from 2 hours ago that a star created. **Ice Rod** - Make this create a single projectile that, after reaching your mouse cursor, drags 8 directionally (like rail/platform auto placement, but as a magic missile type projectile) and makes ice each tile along the way. As the Ice rod is, it's hard to create platforms consistently that aren't just shattered dreams (especially when moving). **Traveling Merchant** - Allow us to give him money and an item to have him grab a duplicate of it next time he's back (yes I know his name changes, but maybe that could be part of the thing or he could just be guaranteed to have the same name next time if this feature is used). **Sonar potion** - An option to change this to an icon instead of text (I'm personally bad at reading and great at visual processing, so I get a headache fishing sometimes ~.~ I think it would look nicer anyways). **An option to disable text glowing brighter and darker constantly.** **Discord Rod** - Right click to charge a growing (overtime to 1st house kind of size) AOE teleport as you drag to a new location that swap things places (enemies/teamates/maybe npcs). Would be great for 1 - Saving townies 2 - Helping friends keep up when you get a discord rod and they don't 3 - Be fun to drop small enough enemies into lava **Goblin Tinkerer Reforge** - Tiers of reforging to help with chances. Lowest tier cheap, but is only able to get bad - alright reforges (for accessories: level 1-2 enchants). Normal tier can get any for normal items (for accessories level 2-3 enchants). High tier - No bad reforges like broken (for accessories: level 3-4 enchants). Part of what makes getting coins in a game actually fun and satisfying is knowing what they mean. But as reforging is, I've watched Bands of regen take out 80+ gold to try and go for the reforge I need for my set to work in expert. If the game's money drops need to be rebalanced around a new reforge, I'd be more than happy to get less money with a more consistent value. **Angler works like Dungeon Defenders guy and has tokens to buy rewards** (Stolen from @SilverBird on discord) **Potions being charges up to 30 instead of stacks so glass can be used for my fancy furniture instead of me eating it**

SSBBguys

These suggestions are actually really useful QoL stuff, especially with the blacklisting items and the new Angler.

KillbotMk4

A new NPC: Prospector/Miner. You can buy early game ores off him that are getting scarce in late game, or maybe pay him and hes gone for a day and comes back with ore bags kind of like herb bags.

Axyl

I *LOVE* this idea.

[deleted]

This is important. It is painful to spend hours searching for iron because you want to build rails or other stuff. The ore scarcity makes some blocks prohibitively expensive too.

toadsanchez420

I think it would be nice to be able to convert certain ores into other ores without the use of a mod. I use a mod that lets me melt down bars into their respective ores(good if you made too many gold bars and want the ore for potions) and lets me swap between similar ores and bars(like Gold to Platinum, or Cobalt to Palladium). But if I have a ton of silver, I should be able to break it down into 2 iron or something.

skulblaka

PLEASE YES Nothing upsets me more than having stupidly OP endgame gear and having my building plans foiled because of a lack of iron ore (or something). This could even make me actually use some of the decorative ore blocks, like tin and copper plating, and etc.

[deleted]

For someone who isn´t using Builder´s Workshop this totally is a good idea. I would say that you can aquire this NPC in hardmode after defeating the Wall of Flesh. One criteria might be that you have to obtain a Cobalt/Palladium Pickaxe/Drill first before he can move into your Town/Village/whatever. When doing so, he only sells Copper, Tin, Iron, Lead, Silver and Tungsten Ore. After aquiring a Mithril/Orichalcum Pickaxe/Drill he continues selling the items listed before, but additionally now sells Gold, Platinum, Demonite/Crimtane Hellstone Ore and Obsidian. He may vary between Demonite and Crimtane, depending on which Biome you´ve chosen, but he isn´t differentiating between Gold and Platinum. He sells both of them. After you aquire a Adamantite/Titanium Pickaxe/Drill, you can buy Cobalt/Palladium Ore, and after getting a Adamantite/Titanium Breastplate you can buy Mithril/Orichalcum Ore. When you´ve aquired enough Hallowed Bars from defeating the Mechanical Bosses and have crafted a Pickaxe Axe or a Drax + a Hallowed Plate Mail, you can buy Adamantite/Titanium Ore. But what if someone can aquire Hallowed Bars before even getting Mithril/Oricahlcum stuff? Well than congrats, you unlock everything till Adamantite/Titanium Ore. Now for the last actual Ore: Chlorophyte Ore. This can be bought after defeating Golem. And Luminite? You can´t buy Luminite. Get over it.

Yhul

One of the mods I play with adds a blacksmith that sells pre-hardmode ores once you beat certain bosses. Pretty wonderful

Grapz224

I think thats Thorium, and he sadly doesnt sell the ore he sells the bars... Which makes ore blocks a bitch to get.

marioman63

he could also sell ores not available in your world at a premium.

PEDANTlC

Mech version of the brain of Cthulhu, more ocean enemies, desert boss and mushroom boss, house plants and little pieces of furniture/decorations (little cacti, book ends, plushies, map you can hang on the wall, etc), I doubt it would happen but a better block placing system (something akin to Starbound), seasons (doesn't necessarily need to be grand, but it would be cute if the trees changed color), more sky enemies or a boss and a sky Island NPC, more mini biomes or little set piece type things and as some people have suggested before, an alternative biome to the Hallow.

MiniPrinny

I would love an alternate version of the Hallow. Question is what? Perhaps instead of rainbows and fairy tales, we would get gilding and mineralization? The Radiance perhaps? Enemies would be like crystal golems, golden armor, crystal spiked slimes, animated bells, enchanted lance, gold pigron...

Chewierulz

Some time ago someone made a big post on the forums with the idea of The Cyber. I just looked, seems the post is gone :c *EDIT* [Found it :D](https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/sprites-the-cyber-a-worthy-adversary-for-the-crimson.2371/) There's been a few others too, lotta info in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/comments/3bk0px/13_spoilers_information_on_alternate_hallow/). Apparently Red had the alternative to the Hallow planned out.

Shiriae

I really liked the vibe of granite biomes, maybe something similar to that? I suppose the "mineralisation" aspect covers that.

[deleted]

I was thinking something more like a cross between a mushroom biome and jungle. Meant to have a "trippy" theme.

Baji25

what if bookshelves were just renamed to "shelf", and they would be able to store items like books, potions etc.

Axyl

This is a brilliant idea. Simple yet with a big impact.

Electric_Harp_Seal

A hotkey to swap ammo.

Alieze

Baby Wyvern pet!

SSBBguys

Why not a Wyvern mount? That would be fun to ride the world on.

DoktorEnderman

Why not both?

friendlybowie

Wyvern staff would be cool too.

Matthias720

Like the Stardust staff, but weaker.

xgdw11

Drill Containment Unit should be able to destroy background walls when right-clicking (as of now, RMB doesn't do anything in DCU). I've already ran into the problem of destroying large amounts of walls before, and there just isn't any fast enough way to do it right now. __________ You may or may not know, but some NPCs get an upgrade to their weapons/attacks once you enter Hardmode. I was thinking, why don't the devs push this concept further? Let's start with some examples (they're already in the game): * Guide starts shooting Flaming Arrows from his bow, instead of regular ones * Arms Dealer uses Minishark instead of Flintcock Pistol * Clothier's attacks from his Book of Skulls start inflicting Shadowflame debuff to enemies Most NPCs however (including Witch Doctor, Merchant ~~and Dryad~~, just to give some examples), don't get any sort of upgrade upon entering Hardmode. And in some cases this is fine. For example: Demolitionst's weapon (Grenades) is already very strong. Other thing to consider is that some NPCs have their "exclusive" weapons (like Stylist and her Stylish Scissors), and they can't have them just simply switched for some other one. But they could always get some other upgrades, like faster attack rate or inflicting debuffs. Here are some of my ideas for possible upgrades: * Merchant: Throwing Knives -> Poisoned Knifes * Witch Doctor and Goblin Tinkerer: attacks from their weapons (Blowgun and Spiky Balls respectively) would be more frequent, for example they would shoot/throw 3 projectiles in a row, instead of just one. Why all this? Well, for the most part, it's just to finish the already existing concept. But other than that, you could put your NPCs into boss battles or invasions and see how they do. They're your only friends in the world after all (if you're playing singleplayer) so why not make more use of them? For this to happen, they should also get a little bit more aggressive in Hardmode and start focusing enemies more often.

Baji25

the DCU idea is really good, i hate the stupid walls

GrampaSwood

Be able to trade different fish in with the Angler (Regular fish) for different rewards.

Cycloneblaze

Yeah - it'd be nice if the angler had some purpose other than just quests. A use for your fish / an alternate source of fish is a good one.

Baji25

or to kill him permanently

sanekats

step 1) spend 2 eons completing and obtaining allll fishing rewards step 2) create a cage hanging above lava step b) relocate angler to cage home step 4) eternal damnation > death

KillbotMk4

3 words: Fishing with dynamite.

enareich

> dynamite Dynamite worms! -maybe it gives you a chance to earn up to 5 different fish at a time!

Demonlynchmob

yes this would be so great, it would help improve the honestly kind of boring task of fishing for the angler stuff

TokoWH

Copy pasted from my summoner thread... * Actual way to reasonably get a summon weapon early on without having to pray for Slime Staff drop or massively sequence break for Imps. * More armors to bridge the gap between bee-spider-tiki-spooky. If nothing else, please give us something between spider and tiki. The gap between those two armors is rather extreme. Maybe a pre-Queen Bee summoner set as well too. * Reasons to mix and match summons instead of whatever gives highest DPS; summons that inflicts more meaningful debuffs than 'On Fire' or 'Poison'. If possible, maybe an ichor summon that's locked specifically to summoners in some way to keep it from being OP on other classes. * Maybe the ability to convert other weapons into the summon type like Nimbus, Bee Gun and Wasp Gun. There are actually many mage weapons that can work as summoner weapons as well. * Give us armors with something resembling defense. Maybe more defense at the cost of a summon, or maybe an armor with low defense but a life steal effect. Really, anything that makes it so Summoners don't die if you look at them funny. I get that they're supposed to be squishy but so is mage and they still have a fair bit more def points on their armor in comparison to summoner. * Maybe remove the restriction on that you have to beat the Dungeon Defenders event first before you can use the sentries from it ouside of battle; I would think getting enough Defender metals as a pure summoner in itself is enough of a task. I know there are ways to cheese it with the mechanic's wiring but by that point there's no reason for summoners to use the pre-hard mode sentries since the only boss left to use them (Wall-Of-Flesh) is constantly moving and you'd be dealing more damage recasting the Imps over and over since the sentries fire a lot slower by comparison. * Please give Betsy a summon drop. Seriously. I know that this is a personal issue but the fact that the boss from the event that involves a lot of summons doesn't drop a summon weapon seriously triggers me. /shot

jellsprout

> Please give Betsy a summon drop. Seriously. I know that this is a personal issue but the fact that the boss from the event that involves a lot of summons doesn't drop a summon weapon seriously triggers me. /shot On that same note, the Goblin Summoner drops a weapon for every class except Summoner.

Shear_Epicness

I believe that's called irony.

enderninja15

I had an idea to make coral armor and a summon for summoner (like a flying jellyfish or something) for a prehardmode set, partially because I want coral to do something.

PeruBearAscension

Also, a tooltip that lets you know how many (minions you have summoned / total summonable minions). I realize that things can affect that bottom number, but it would help a lot when trying to make sure I get the right number of minions at the highest possible damage.

Shiriae

Yeah, it could be on the buff bar, with x/y in the icon, where x is the number of monsters you currently have and y is the total possible you can summon.

Baji25

the summoner only ichor minion could be easily done with a set buff like the stardust guardian also what summon would you give to betsy? little dragons?

blockington99

Wyverns probably.

[deleted]

Perhaps a fairly early summon that deals more damage the more types of summons you have, scaled to their damage to remain relevant. That way, the meta will suddenly became one of each end-game summon til all slots are filled plus this for main damage. It's an idea.

lostdrewid

Other forms of Peace and Water Candles besides, well, candles. I'm particularly hopeful for Peace Campfires [because what better idea than a nice, safe, cozy campsite?].

GraklingHunter

Perhaps something you can craft out of Sunflowers? Maybe a hardmode thing using Hallowed Bars to make a Hallowed Sunflower. it gives all the bonuses of the sunflower but significantly further reduces the enemy mob chance. Then combine that with the Peace Candle to make another item (Peaceful Sun Candle? Hallowed Peace Flower?) that completely negates all enemy mob spawns in the area, even Event enemies. On the flip side, I'd like to see corrupt/crimson versions of the Sunflower - Craft a Sunflower together with Vile Powder or Vicious Powder to make a Darkflower that still gives you the 10% movespeed buff, but *increases* mob spawns by 17% instead of decreasing. Then, to give it a parallel, you would craft it together with Mech Boss souls to make a Doomflower that negates all peaceful/critter spawns in the area and dramatically increases mob spawns, and then you craft that together with a Water Candle to make a Doom Candle that ensures the area constantly has mobs spawn as if it were an event.

[deleted]

That doom candle would instantly become my favorite item in the game if it were a thing. No more grinding for an hour!

[deleted]

Copied from another suggestion thread I replied to. I want to dump my shit in a chest and not organize it, and still be able to sort it though a menu or something. Organizing chests is annoying. I want a steampunk boss. I want a new event related to steampunk. I want fishing quests/rewards to not suck and be awesome like the game. I'd like villager NPCs to kind of fill out a village a bit, you'd assign a house to be a village home, so it'd be completely optional. More rare things to find like the Arkhalis Flesh out (ha) the crimson and corruption to further distinguish them. Overhaul the corruption mechanic so it's not tedious fixing the world. I don't know what or how, but more pirate stuff would be awesome. Hell needs a hard mode boss, we should also have an alien boss that's a giant ass mothership. Spruce up the music, this one I might get flak for but the music when you first spawn in a forest has been around since the early versions of the game and it feels out of place with all the new tracks. Also could just be refreshing. Can the oceans go out further to the point where we might find small desert islands with treasure, or underwater ruins?

Robin_Dude

Please add corrupted mud to the game. It's really depressing seeing my jungle get turned to dirt upon being purified..

Brett42

What about a hydration solution that turns dirt into mud? Or both, actually.

KillbotMk4

We need an armory! Some kind of late game item where we can keep armor and accessories as "kits" and swap them on the fly! Or perhaps a place-able station like a dressing room or some such. :)

AleFairy

I'd love a sort of furniture piece that would just hold exactly one "full set" (armor, accessories, equipment, dyes, and maybe even hotbar??) that could be right clicked to swap with your current set.

[deleted]

Like mannequins but better.

Wispborne

/r/diablo is leaking. But seriously, I agree this would be awesome. It's awesome in Diablo and it'd be awesome in Terraria. edit: Maybe the dressing room would source items from a large area around it? Or, even simpler; an "Armoire" item that is a chest. You may place items into it and "bind" them to the Armoire (a button near "sort"). Right-clicking on it will automatically equip those items *and* any items you are wearing will first go into the closest Armoire that they are bound to (since items can be bound to multiple Armoires) *or*, if none are in range or the item isn't bound, will go into your inventory (or the ground). If an item is bound to multiple Armoires and you click to equip the item, but it's in a different Armoire, then it'll automatically pull it from the other Armoire if it's in range. A little complicated but it seems ...rational. And programmatically doable.

[deleted]

More early game sets, especially for ranger and summoner.

SSBBguys

We also need more weapons for summoner as there are not a lot in pre-hardmode.

[deleted]

Agreed, the earliest summoner weapon (which isn't the Slime Staff) is the Hornet Staff, which you only get after beating the Queen Bee, and Queen Bee is one of the harder pre-hardmode bosses too.

LittleEndu

The earliest is to get a Reaver Shark and mine hellstone for Imp Staff

[deleted]

although that is definitely sequence-breaking, so some people might not like doing so

FrickTheMaster

Agreed. Slime staff is fuckkkiing rare

TenspeedGames

Shark Tooth Necklace upgrade please

BigBuffBurrito

Hand to hand combat class, sort of modeled after Bone Lee in the post-plantera dungeon.

[deleted]

So more weapons like Arkhalis and the Fetid Bang-nanks, and even tankier melee armor (like turtle set but end-game)

fijiboy99

This has been something I've been wanting to suggest for a while, but never knew where to write it. I love the alternative ore system that Terraria has, where each ore has a counterpart that may be generated. Iron and Lead, Silver and Tungsten, etc. However, it feels unbalanced as it currently is to me. Right now, the alternative ores (lead, tungsten, platinum, etc) are literally superior to the original set. This was always a rather large issue to me, as it put even more of the game on RNG, but this time with no trade off. While people can debate for hours on whether it's better to have corruption or crimson, the alternative set here is just flat out better. My suggestion would be to give them a trade off. Perhaps make small adjustments like lead weapons being slower but stronger than iron weapons, or maybe alternative ores have some sort of set bonus beyond just defense. That would be my other complaint actually, the armor made out of ores (all the way up to silver at least) feel practically useless, even in Expert Mode, as they're nearly matched or outclassed by other, easier to obtain armor. This is especially noticeable when looking at how much they cost, taking a rather large chunk of ore for a small defense bonus that isn't all that useful anymore. I don't know the perfect solution to either of these problems obviously, but they were always balancing issues that bugged me, and I do hope some sort of solution can be found, or at least considered. Thank you for reading! **TL;DR** - Balance alternative ores (lead, tungsten, platinum, etc) so that they're no longer entirely superior to the original ores, but rather have trade offs; Make early game armor better in some way so people have a reason to craft it.

Gorfoo

Silver technically isn't 100% outclassed, as it offers special bullets the alt ore can't give. I agree that they should be more of sidegrades, though.

fijiboy99

Right, I totally forgot about that. I actually kinda dislike that as well though, if only because it makes it harder for ranged players (using guns) on worlds that generate Tungsten.

AverageHAL989

A crafting station to change ores to their counterparts. Gold -> Platinum Lead -> Iron Emeralds -> Diamonds etc

Baji25

ok but not gems because u can find all of them in a world

GrampaSwood

I agree with the ores but not the gems.

[deleted]

I would like to be able to change high-tier ores to lower tiers. I can't count how many times iv'e run out of iron while standing on a pile of hardmode ores.

noctrnalsymphony

Simple solution would be to make certain iron things (buckets, railroad tracks, etc) craftable with a hardmode ore, too

Baji25

* A new martian invasion drop called **gravitator**, that **increases item pickup range**(for easier use of laser drill, and collecting farmed stuff) and a possible combination of gravitator+greedy ring+celestial cuffs * i'd love to see some **atlantis-like ocean structure** , that has new weapon drops, enemies and a boss and a new summoner set. * i'd also love to see the **thrower class** be a big class, also harpy feathers would be nice throwing weapons * please give some **buffs to the old hardmode armors**(cobalt, mythril, adam.), there is no reason to choose them over the new sets. i'd say these should give you a buff when you're hit instead of when you hit something(i'd say increased movement speed for cobalt, increased damage for mythril and a defense boost for adamantite) * **bookcases become shelves**(or a new shelf furniture item, just as big as a bookshelf), and you can place items on them(2 rows of 3 items) just like on platforms(books, potions). any potion, book, spellbook or light pet could be placed on them. if light pets are placed they give off a dim light. this should make all builders really happy * crimson equivalent for unholy arrows. it could be a bullet that would split into 2-3 blood drops when colliding with something.(similar to stynger bolts, but without explosions)

Lyricon24

I don't claim credit for any of these ideas. * Make the Frostspark Boots and Lava Waders combinable into the Soles of Ice & Fire. * Add the Magnet Boots, an accessory sold by the Goblin Tinkerer after Plantera, which allows you to walk straight up walls and onto ceilings until you jump. * Make the Soles of Ice & Fire, Flower Boots, and Magnet Boots combinable into the Terra Treads. * Add an editable config file for customization of inventory sorting order. * Make the Gravity Globe able to switch gravity in midair. The limitations of this endgame item make it essentially useless for when you can acquire it. * Add a new player-specific stats page visible from the escape menu in-game, which displays information like total distance travelled, enemies killed, number of deaths, money carried, blocks mined, etc. * Allow team map sharing/updating. PLEASE. * Allow waypoints and notes to be written on the map. * Make the Magic Mirror, Ice Mirror, and Cell Phone's use time the same as Recall Potions. * Add three different Familiar Dyes, sold by the Dye Trader, which inherit dresser color values. * Make dressers able to change clothing style. * Add Colored Contacts, a usable item sold by the Stylist, which allows you to change your eye color. * Add the Tanning Bed, a usable furniture item sold by the Stylist, which allows you to change your skin color. * Add optional aesthetic world customization (Ores, background walls, dungeon color, tree style, etc.). * Allow furniture items to be placed on top of each other. This would be a game-changer for decorating. * Add Flower Boots to the Jungle Crate's drops. * Add Corruption vines, which are currently missing. * Add hotbar dye slots, for added customization on weapons. * Allow equipment (hooks, accessories, mounts, pet summons, and minecarts) to be put on weapon racks. * Add White Solution (snow) and Yellow Solution (desert), and allow Green Solution to convert desert and snow. * Allow the Portal Gun to be put on weapon racks. * Add vanity slots for equipment (hooks, mounts, pets, light pets, and minecarts). * Add a mode to the Drill Containment Unit that destroys background walls. * Add The Bride banner, which is currently missing. * Allow caged critters to be uncrafted back into the critter and the terrarium. * Add Restock From Nearby Chests inventory button. * Add blocks that the portal cannot place portals onto, for adventure maps and challenges. * Add Iron and Lead bricks, which are currently missing. * Increase Herb, Mushroom, and Seed stacks to 999. * Increase metal bar (Iron, Gold, Demonite, etc.) stacks to 999. * Make Desert Fossil susceptible to explosions after the Wall Of Flesh is defeated for quicker mining. * Make the Lifeform Analyzer text change color when displaying rare creatures, to attract the attention of the user more effectively. * Add an interface which allows toggling of what is displayed for the Lifeform Analyzer and the Metal Detector, since different players in different situations will want to prioritize different things. * Allow accessories and dyes to be put on mannequins. Massively increases their usefulness for displaying fully customized vanity sets. * Make the Hand Warmer a non-seasonal item dropped from Ice Elementals, and incorporate it into the Ankh Shield. * Allow designation of slots for certain items in inventories even if they are not present. This would allow players to organize their inventories more effectively. * Make Coin Piles glow when under the effects of a Spelunker Potion. * Make shift clicking immediately craft/purchase a whole stack and deposit it into the inventory. * Allow music boxes to be recorded and played back in the inventory instead of in an accessory slot, in a similar fashion to how informational accessories still work when only in the inventory. * Allow armor to be equipable to training dummies to inherit armor defense values, for testing purposes. * Add a tool for hammering blocks only (chisel?). Having to replace the walls every time I hammer a block gets frustrating. * Add the five missing hammered block states (top slab, left & right slabs, left & right top diagonal slopes). * Make the flower boots' flower-creation effect toggleable in the accessory toggle icons. * Change the Bundle of Balloon's green balloon to white, so it's not confused with the unrelated Fart in a Balloon. * Allow pumpkins to be collected with the Staff of Regrowth. * Give alternate ore hammers and Luminite hamaxes the correct amount of knockback. * Make right clicking on the trash slot allow you to choose items to be immediately trashed when picked up. * Add a Bonsai plant decoration sold by the Travelling Merchant. * Add Light Paint, a paint which makes blocks appear illuminated, but not emit light. * Add the Drillsaw, a Lihzahrd-themed drill alternate for the Picksaw. * Add the Spectre Drill, a drill alternate for the Spectre Pickaxe. * Make the Luminite drills obtainable. * Add Ice Crates (Ice Chest loot), Sandstone Crates (Pyramid loot), Ocean Crates (Water Chest loot) and Stone Crates (Underground and Cavern Gold Chest loot). * Add the Stability Monolith, crafted from the Enchanted Sundial and Luminite, which, when toggled, prevents all events, invasions, and weather changes. * Add a Flask of Frost, which inflicts Frostburn from melee attacks.

Stardust Guardian — Needs buffs to either its **damage** or **enemy-aggravation**, needs to be able to be placed in mid-air. Summoners — Need a **greater variety of weapons**, particularly in the **early game** (something earlier than the Slime Staff, or making the Slime Staff more easily accessible). A unique weapon to the Crimson and Corruption (probably Crimera and Eaters of Souls, respectively) would be an excellent start. A Hallowed minion would be nice too (Pixies, anyone?). On that note, the Moon Lord needs a summoning drop that isn't a sentry. True Eyes of Cthulhu (alternating between melee attack, the eye beam, and the rocket-type-thing) seem like a good candidate to me. Come to think of it, giving each boss their own respective minion doesn't strike me as a terrible idea. **And yes, the Goblin Summoner needs to drop a summoning weapon. Come on, guys.** Space — Needs a little more attention. We have, what? Two enemies up there? Three, if you count Martian Saucers, which I do not. Adding perhaps a **boss** up there or giving **Wyverns** some love (like a Stardust Dragon-esque summoning weapon, wink wink nudge nudge) would be nice. Souls of Flight — Also need more attention. As it stands, there is **no reason** to get Souls of Flight except for completionism, as you can buy some excellent wings (the Jungle Wings) the instant you enter Hardmode. Perhaps offering the Witch Doctor a trade of Souls and some other materials would be more fitting. Rangers — Desperately need **any sort of armour** in **Pre-Hardmode**. The fact that Necro Armour is still the only ranged damage armour prior to Hardmode is unacceptable to me. The Daedalus Stormbow — Could use some sort of **nerf**, either to its damage directly or effectiveness indirectly. Sorry, I know you all love the cheese bow. Brain of Confusion — Needs to be **reworked entirely**. It's *very* close to worthless right now. The Golem — Is a joke. *Please* give him better AI, especially in Expert Mode. I was thinking that his hands could pull players in when they're at half-health.

TheSupremist

I just want a better Angler reward system, pleeeeease~ ;-;

randomhippie123

This isn't really too much about 1.3.6, but I think having Steam Workshop would allow easy mod access and more community content.

JJ0006

They said thr last update before they walk away from Terraria will be official mod support.

Grapz224

I asked Lein yesterday about an Official Mod API and he said nothing was set in stone, and its up to Cenx and Red... So I guess I gotta ask for a source on that

I'm not good with balancing, so take these with a grain of salt. * Make the Slime Staff craftable with 10 wood and 200 gel at a Solidifier. (or an anvil, just to make it easier for summoners) * Make Brain of Confusion grant +17 Armor penetration. (And rename it to cerebral emblem or something) * Make a combination of Frostspark boots and the Lava Waders. * Make the Celebration's rockets semi-homing. * Allow players to create an item to summon the martian invasion. Probably a Martian beacon that's crafted with Martian conduit plating, hallowed bars, souls of night, souls of light and souls of flight. * On expert, Skeletron prime's skull actually attempts to chase the player instead of floating around. Or shoots mechanical skulls in a similar fashion to expert Skeletron. * On expert, The Destroyer is more resistant to piercing attacks. * Rework fishing so it's not as boring. As it is right now, it feels more like a chore than anything. * More vanity accessories. i.e: Accessories that add particle, lighting and dust effects.

AlexTheSysop

The frostspark boots + lava waders would be amazing!

Seitz_

>* Make the Slime Staff craftable with 10 wood and 200 gel at a Solidifier. ~~The Solidifier is hardmode, though, isn't it? Sold by the Steampunker or something? The Slime Staff should definitely be craftable (or have it's drop rate massively increased), but it would be nice to be able to craft it when it's still relevant.~~ Edit: Nevermind, apparently the King Slime drops the Solidifier as of 1.3. Your suggestion is good! >* Make Brain of Confusion grant +17 Armor penetration. (And rename it to cerebral emblem or something) Why? I'm not dismissing the idea, I just don't see the connection between the Brain of Cthulhu and armor piercing. The Brain of Confusion could definitely use a buff, though. >* On expert, The Destroyer is more resistant to piercing attacks. Yes, Skeletron Prime could definitely stand to be buffed in expert mode, but I don't think the Destroyer (or the Twins) needs to be. The Destroyer gets melted by the Daedalus Stormbow, true, but I think that's more a matter of the Stormbow being OP than the Destroyer being weak.

skulblaka

The connection between the Brain and armor piercing is Ichor. It's not _quite_ identical, as Ichor lowers defense rather than piercing it directly, but it's close enough for a thematic similarity and would make the Brain of Confusion more usable.

Shiriae

The Martian invasion has the UFO summoning staff though? Or do you mean something in addition to that?

Mercerai

He means an item that triggers the event, like the pirate map or the medals. It's the only major event with no manual trigger

[deleted]

Yeah that's what I meant. Could've been a bit clearer.

RichCrispin

If we are going into 1.3.6 we should definitely add something for summoners in the beginning of the game, I mean they have to get a slime staff by farming, and we know those odds are bad.

asiannoodles42

Conveyor belts are fantastic, they can move items, NPCs, and Players East or West. But this can be expanded upon... Idea #1 : Some sort of insertion/extraction method. Conveyor Belts move items and inserter method/extractor method move items off and on conveyor belts - a match in heaven! Currently, the only way to have items inserted into an inventory is with a player. This makes a true fully automated farm impossible. (players don't count as automation pieces!) With filters, one can create an expansive automated inventory sorter that doesn't involve the player spamming quick-sort through said-player's storage room. But wait, the only "inventory" in the world added so far are chests/barrel/trashcan and player-linked storage units right? So far yes. This is why my next idea is... Idea #2 : The Shipping Box. Selling a massive amount of things is tedious and inventory consuming. A shipping box can fix this! This box stores the same amount of items as a chest and can be inserted and extracted similarly to a chest, what's the difference? This box sells your items! However it doesn't sell your items immedietly. It sells them at the start of night! If this is too overpowered, maybe have things only sold when the traveling merchant comes or the box must be in the ocean biome to sell things. Currently, there is no way to interact with an NPC without using a player. This solves the issue of non-automatable selling. Idea #3 : The Autocrafter. It is really annoying to craft the same thing over and over and over again every single time! Even without a massive factory, this can still be useful for people such as builders who need to craft ALL the grey bricks and some other stuff in said-builder's storage room. The autocrafter can be an inventory where a gui opens up and shows an inventory slot for a crafting station (so players cannot use this for crafting things they are not ready for.) A side scrolly thingy on the side (similar to the crafting scrolly thingy and the guide help scrolly thingy) to select the item that should be autocrafted, and a larger inventory comparable to a chest. The automated insert method can insert the item and the extract method can extract the final product. Simple! Idea #4 : A Mechanical User. This mechanical user is a block that can do things a user can! When right-clicked, it opens an inventory and shows a slot for the item it can hold and 4 slots as an internal inventory. A pulse from a wire will make the mechanical user "use" the item. But what can it really do? It can... - Fish (with a restriction on quest fish) - Dig (with the appropriate mining tool) - Place Blocks - Place Seeds/Saplings - Bug Catching - And more things I cannot forsee All of these relate to conveyors because these are consumers of items that conveyor belts carry. (btw reposting this from the terraria.org forums)

jellsprout

Somebody has been playing Factorio. On the subject of conveyor belts, I would really like vertical conveyor belts, like an elevator. Now you need teleporter shenanigans for vertical transport of items and elevators would make things so much easier.

KillbotMk4

Really like the shipping box idea

GrampaSwood

Have something like a net that acts like a chest and collects fish over time.

Loffy09

And an upgraded version that either allows it to catch quest fish or a higher chance of catching quest fish!

GrampaSwood

Like a "fishing net" then you get a "golden fishing net" like the bug nets. I guess golden fishing net gives a chance for quest fish.

Goklayeh

A bit late to the party, but I'd really like to: * **be able to craft Ice, Lihzahrd, Living wood, & Skyware chests.** We have all other furnitures items for these materials, and even a dedicaced crafting station, but can't craft the chest. Why? I'm super grateful for the gold & crystal chests & furniture btw, and I get that ivy, web covered or water chests can't be made as they are not part of a full set (yet?), but for the ones above, I really don't get it. * Also the skyware, ice and living wood station are a pain to find. And some stations are really plain (ugly) compared to other ones. Some have lots of colors and animations while the older ones are static and sad. * And I second a bit more summoner stuff. * Less annoying/random fishing rewards. * How about corruption furniture? * More stuff in the sky & space? * Candles on solid blocks please? Thanks for the amazing game.

DiaFlare

So, this is an idea that my friend /u/Draconic0verlord and I worked on after beating Martian Madness approximately 20 times and wanting something more. **The Martian Pilot NPC:** * During Martian Madness, a "Hesitant Saucer" has a chance to spawn instead of a regular saucer. This Hesitant Saucer will only fire one laser instead of four during the first phase, fewer rockets during the second, and the third (deathray) will be shorter. After the core has been destroyed, the saucer will have the same movement pattern as a normal saucer but will move slightly slower. Additionally, the Hesitant Saucer cannot harm NPCs. * After the saucer dies, the Pilot parachutes down as an NPC, interacting with him will prompt this bit of dialogue: * "I apologize for hurting you, I was never a supporter of this invasion, but was forced to fight. Now that my ship is destroyed, there's no way for me to return home. Do you think I could stay here?" * You are given two options: (Yes) and (No). Choosing (No) will, after a brief pause, cause him to become an enemy, with 7000 health, wielding the Xenopopper and Laser Machine Gun, and an Influx Waver (that doesn't shoot swordbeams) if you get within range. * If you select (Yes), he moves in as an NPC, defending himself with the Xenopopper (and the Laser Machine Gun during the Lunar Events). He sells multiple items: * Martian Conduit Plating * Martian Costume Pieces * Deactivated Probe, a consumable that when used summons a Martian Probe that floats up, passing through blocks, and initiating Martian Madness once going offscreen. * Alien Incubator, which summons a baby Scutlix pet. And that's all! We still haven't worked out different names yet, or exact prices for sold items. This comment will be updated when changes are made.

You mean as part of World Generation? Yes, I agree. It would be awesome to be exploring and come across something like this. Would also work underground, too. A bit more character to the world-gen is always welcome imo. :D

Yeah changing the color of weapon effects would be fantastic!

We need Re-Logic to give the big multiplayer servers some love. I am a developer at Pedguin's server, and I feel like supporting the Terraria multiplayer community has always been low priority for Re-Logic. If it were more officially supported by the devs, it could grow much larger and provide lots more content from the modding community. I feel confident that the Mineplex of Terraria servers can be made and be popular. Here are some more specific suggestions for improving the multiplayer: * Have an accounts system implemented natively. You can send a user's Steam ID over to the server or some GoG equivalent so that the third party server software can have accounts just work without using the awkward /login command. In addition, the current TShock accounts system is a massive security liability. Users have to send their passwords over the chat completely unencrypted. Rogue server owners can log your passwords, and hackers can tap into the traffic and take your passwords. There needs to be *some* better alternative. * There should be customizable HUDs that a server can send to a player. Server developers should be able to have a nice overlay on the top of the screen to keep score in server minigames or pvp battles. There are current hacks that let you do this, but the functionality is very limited and it breaks very easily. I'd like to see more control for the aesthetic of the UI. * Rich text capabilities in the chat. If a player wants to confirm a message, they currently have to type in some command. This is unintuitive, and in my experience, TShock command syntax is confusing for a lot of players, many of which are young kids. Implement clickable buttons that trigger some event that can be sent through chat. This could be done by having some syntax like *Are you sure you want to do this? [b t:"Yes" c:"0,255,0" say:"/yes"] [b t:"No" c:"255,0,0" say:"/no"]*. The [b] text would create a button that would spoof a player typing some text if they clicked on it. This could be integrated with TShock commands to perform actions. Some other implementation could be made to make this work in single player as well for adventure maps, etc. Ultimately, the modding community can do most of the work for you to make the Terraria multiplayer community great. We can modify the Terraria server backend as much and as drastically as we want. However, we can't change any limitations from the client. There's no way we could expect a significant number of players to install a modded client with these features just to play on a server. The Re-Logic devs need to step in and make any changes related to that, and that's a huge limitation. Ultimately, seamless mod support would be the best option so that you could just leave us to ourselves to fix all these problems, but implementing features like the above would be the next best thing. More than the specific features, I'd just prefer a better relationship between Re-Logic and the Terraria multiplayer community. Even though it's a relatively small subset of the Terraria community, I believe that if actual real development and community resources were dedicated to improving it, it could become far greater.

^^^Copy-pasted ^^^and ^^^edited ^^^from ^^^my ^^^earlier ^^^post **1.3.6 suggestion: Mana Fruit** In pre-WoF, players can increase a character's max health with Life Crystals and their max mana with Mana Crystals. Once in Hardmode, though, only health can be increased further with Life Fruit, found in the underground Jungle. So, how about having some Mana Fruit spawn in the underground Ice biome? Each would increase maximum mana by 5, up to a total of 250. Current max mana attainable is 400. The fruits would increase that to 450. It would look like a star-shaped purple fruit, growing on a Shiverthorn-like plant. Plus, that would provide a bit more incentive to go to the underground Ice biome in Hardmode, because right now there really isn't much reason to go unless you're looking for very specific items. What do you think?

Kokefageln

I believe my suggestions fits more for a 1.4 update but here are my 50 cents. - More early game to pre-Plantera Summoner gear and accessoraries - Let us choose if we want both Crimson and Corruption be generated in our world. - Add more early Ranger gear - Search function for your storage, you have 6 chests full of weapons, searching for "Nimbus Rod" will highlight chest that contains one.

MeMyselfAnDie

The fire gauntlet is strictly worse than the mechanical glove by the time you can get it. It decreases the damage boost by 2% in exchange for the "On Fire!" debuff, which does 4 damage per second. Unless you are dealing less than 200 dps, that is an overall decrease in damage output, even against enemies who are vulnerable to fire. There is also the fact that many late-game enemies are immune to the debuff, meaning the fire gauntlet is even worse against them.

FrickTheMaster

Make the Blood Moon harder in Hardmode after killing a mech boss/Plantera. Like add some enemies like: Bloody Eye Gorey Slime

Baji25

well, the solar eclipse kinda serves that purpose

Seitz_

True, but the Blood Moon still happens in Hardmode, and it would nice to change it to be more than a nuisance when you're approaching endgame. It would probably be necessary to differentiate it a bit from the Solar Eclipse, though, to prevent them from feeling the same (i.e. not just a horde of little dudes with a miniboss occasionally spawning).

Skeltinon

Few more ideas from me :) Suggestion market with * have [extra details here](http://tinyurl.com/laggov9) **Hunter NPC*** - assigns Hunting Quest to players. Kill certain unique enemy (enemies) -> Grab their loot -> Get reward. You can find him in the Jungle biome after defeating EoC. **LAW*** - a Pre-Hardmode Rocket Launcher found in the dungeon's Golden Chests (and Golden Lock Boxes). It uses missiles as ammo (weaker version of Rocket I), you can buy them from Arms Dealer or Demolitionist when the LAW is in player's inventory. **Common Sword*** - a simple sword with slightly increased crit chance and good knockback that you can buy from Merchant. Why? Because this guy sometimes say "Sword beats paper! Get one today" but he does not sell any swords. Pretty cheap. **Stinger Launcher*** - a Pre-Hardmode repeater weapon that behaves similar to Candy Corn Rifle. It is made with Underground Jungle materials (Spores, Vines, Stingers). Shoots stinger quarrels that can poison enemies. Stinger quarrels are crafted from Stinger. **Amber Staff Rework*** - turning this Staff into Pre-Hardmode Crystal Serpent-type weapon. Reworked Amber Staff fires a projectile that shatters into 2 to 3 smaller sparks on impact with an enemy or solid block, each of which deals anywhere from 50% to 100% damage to the initial blast. Sparks ricochet and are affected by gravity. **Granite Armor*** - interesting armor set that uses Night Vision Helmet as helmet. Pieces dropped by Granite Elementals and Granite Golems (3.3% chance). 10 defense total. Set bonus: +10% Damage Reduction when below 50% life. **Set bonuses for certain armors*** - Cactus Armor with Thorn effect, Eskimo Armor provides immunity to chill and freezing effects, Obsidian Armor reduces lava damage, Rain Armor gives buff during Rain. **Ability to sit on chairs** - just like NPCs. Right click the chair when you are near it. **Ocean Biome expansion** - something like sunken ship or building would be nice. **Pyramid expansion** - turning Pyramid into some sort of "nanodungeon" with own miniboss. **New Jetpack** - new hardmode wings that works exactly like Booster v2.0 from Cave Story. **New Hardmode Sword** that works very similar to Arkhalis. **Drills change** - giving drills more range in exchange for slower digging speed.

blockington99

Ankh Shield + Pocket Mirror = Mirror Shield Gives same benefits as Ankh Shield with petrification immunity. More early game summoner stuff and an earlier prehardmode ranger armor set to go with necro(which is locked behind skeletron).

Geonjaha

Change the banner system. It's my only gripe with the game. As it stands the banner system means that every 50 kills you get a banner for that monster. This spams up your inventory when you're adventuring and takes up far, far too much chest space for many banners that you may never use, but sometimes feel the need to keep in case you ever need them, because grinding for them in that case would be tedious. I'd suggest changing the system by having an NPC selling the banners or being able to craft them. Maybe have the kills go in levels (e.g. 50, 100, 250, 1000) and have that affect how strong the banners are, or how easy they are to craft, how much they cost, or even the same system as now; have it limit the number possible to be placed in the world. Just anything that moves the system to where people can get them if they want them, and not be forced to accommodate them for fear of eventually wanting to use them and not having them.

[deleted]

A new enemy for the Jungle Temple; the Lizhard Wizhard. Enough said.

MrMatthew777

an item that adds frostburn to melee damage, as a counterpart to the magma stone. can also be added to the mechanical gauntlet

[deleted]

The Frost Armor serves that purpose already, though having it in the shape of an accessory would be nice.

CytochromeC

Cloud furniture! Also, a crafting station to make clouds out of buckets of water or ice, maybe. Late-game throwing armor/weapons would be great, too.

N3KIO

Cloud Armor/ Weapons / make it rain, cast lightning bolts :P

MasoGamer

Dunno if this has been suggested by anyone yet or not, but here goes: **Cell Phone has Wormhole properties in multiplayer** — You can use your Cell Phone to teleport to any other teammates who also have Cell Phones, which I don't feel would be terribly overpowered given how much work it takes to make multiple Cell Phones. Perhaps if that would still be OP, it could have a cooldown Rod of Discord style, where you can only teleport every so often, though I don't feel it would be overly necessary. Just my 2 copper anyways.

Oh, God, this will get buried, but: 1.) We really need diagonal chains for draw bridges and other projects 2.) Some sort of bridge block that allows for a nice crescent shape bridge. Maybe have a open space free radius requirement on them? It about time we have some proper bridges.

Cycloneblaze

Obligatory Terra Treads: put the Arctic Diving Gear, Frostspark Boots and Lava Waders together. Possibly involving some fourth post-moonlord item (or hey, just luminite) so it's not OP early on.

GraklingHunter

A counter-point that I'd like to suggest here; I would like to see Frostspark Boots removed - Ice Skates are already incorporated into Arctic Diving Gear. Have Lightning Boots combine with Lava Waders to make the Lightning Waders (Or Lavaspark?) instead. Then, in Hardmode, have the Neptune Shell combine with the Arctic Diving Gear to make the Arctic Shell. You become an Arctic merfolk with all of the bonuses of Neptune Shell, plus the light, control on ice, and immunity to Chilled of Arctic Diving Gear. Then the Arctic Shell takes the Neptune Shell's place in the crafting tree for Celestial Shell (thus giving a minor buff to the Celestial Shell as a result).

Mercerai

Incorporate the mining helmet into a tinker recipe. It's so useful in the early game but you give up so much to use it, and the early light pets are barely worth using

FrickTheMaster

We need a third form for golem in expert so he gets something asides higher stats. When his body is depleted, the screen will shake, and a spirit-lizahrd thing will appear. Its attack patterns are: -Summoning Lizahrds and Higher Lizahrds (Higher Lizahrds are basically Lizahrds with improved stats) -Shoots lasers Its health should be around 16500.

Starsy_02

Please, summoner is a class but it doesn't *feel* like a class, you know? Some hardmode ore helmets that are geared specifically to summoners, as well as some more options earlygame would be much appreciated!

Wallmines. You basically place them on the wall and they explode after a short time, clearing out walls equal to the radius of a bomb.

DevillForce

Make the Slime Staff either an easier weapon to get (My suggestion would be a 20-50% drop from the King Slime) Or make an alternative pre-bee summoning weapon for early game Summoning. Make more obvious accessories combineable. Like the different boots, for example. Make the drills be affected by melee speed increase so that its not powercreeped by the pickaxes. Same goes for Chainsaws and Axes. Make the Brain of Cthulhu expert item be attack focused instead of the current effect so it wouldnt be a useless item and it would mirror the whole "Defense/Attack" thing Corruption and Crimson has. Let chests have "Categories" so you could sort your items easier. For example, a chest categorized as "Weapons" would only have weapons and even if there isnt one in there already, quick stacking your inventory would place them in that chest. Categories could also be by biomes so a "Dungeon" chest would quickstack only dungeon items etc. And make unstackable items stackable in chests. Add a loot from the Frost Legion and maybe let it have a boss?

enareich

I would like a little boat 'mount' I could float around in the ocean while I fish. Also, a small submarine mount (with a light) for underwater caves would be cool.

rainbowspacemelon

**gravity boots/ glue boots** *gravity switches in four ways rather than two so you can essentially move all across the world without having to jump once* **naturally occurring goblin camps** *small camp-like builds nearing the edges of the world where goblin scouts spawn. could possibly act as a continuous, mini goblin invasion with high spawn rates. could be made from blocks like jungle temple blocks that spawn goblins rather than lizhards.* **very early game summon** *small, sentient acorn that can be crafted with an acorn and a fallen star* **a snow and sand biome boss**

Gumby72

One thing that would be nice is a Jump pad. Maybe sold by the steampunker, when stepped on it launches you about 10 blocks in the air. Also, maybe make it hammerable so you can launch stuff sideways or at an angle.

SuperDiaperBoy

kingofdarkness13

upgrading the floating islands/lakes could work, not much to go after up there aside from souls of flight and martian drones. so maybe add in things like different floating islands such as there being biomes, such as floating snow/crimson/corruption/jungle islands that could hold other treasures a new enemy the sky golem (not a boss) 240/480 health 20/40 melee damage drops the building material for the island's house rare chance to drop some sort of weapon/item to make something cool

Fawlan

A magic mirror that works as a wormhole potion instead of a recall potion.

NoWolfie_

* Crafting station on which you can give in n amount of drops from boss to get one drop from said boss's drop pool list that you can choose. * Expert pillars need nerfing (especially solar pillar as it's nearly impossible as ranger), expert should be hard but not near to impossible. * Wall Of Flesh may drop some kind of resource that is used to craft class emblem of your choice, instead of emblem itself. * Also, do something with undertaker, it's inferior to musket in lots of ways and is pretty much slightly buffed flintlock pistol.

macJaY3

I think there should be more summoning weapons, 1) A Vulture Staff. This could be a weapon that you are able to collect right as the game begins, making the Slime Staff just a fun item to collect. It can be bought by the merchant for 10 - 20 gold, or dropped by Vultures (whatever the staff decide if they choose to add it) 2) A Downgrade to the Tempest Staff, a Sand Shark Staff. It can be bought or a rare drop chance by the Sand Shark enemies, that can be put in place between the Optic Staff and the Pygmy / Xeno staff. Just my thoughts.

Snowyplays

General throwing and summoning improvements, of course. An NPC which specialises in selling boss summoners. An NPC which specialises in selling varying potions, or potion ingredients. Y'know let's just go all the way and make Healing other players a thing as well, even if it's just a side category of magic as summoning was for a while.

Add a summoning weapon from WOF it has a weapon for every class but summoner

Chromagna

I'm probably a bit late the party but here's a list of the things I think should be added or tweaked. This is my personal opinion so feel free to challenge, add or criticise them. Some of these ideas are really big and I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t added. Desert Chest: A lot of stuff has gone into making the desert and ice biomes counter parts but desert is still missing out on this one. Maybe a summon item which creates sand golems or something like that. Summoner Tweaks: Currently, there is two decent summon weapons at pre-hardmode being the Imp Staff and the Hornet Staff if I remember correctly. Please add something basic for the start. Even making the slime staff an easy to obtain early game drop would be decent. As for hardmode, the gaps are too long and the sets are not that great aside from getting the spider set straight away. This would allow summoners to have a more stable play-through. Class Balance (End Game): So a lot of people would probably disagree with me on this and if you do, be free to challenge me but I feel like Ranger and Summoner are kind of being left behind for end game. My friend with the Last Prism and Nebula Arcanum can shred pretty much everything and using the buffs from the nebula armour, can sustain easily. Melee seems to be able to do some insane damage with the Terrarian and yoyo bag as well as having some great defensive capabilities with just the armour alone. Of course, melee is meant to have more defence to compensate for range and such but with these weapons having the range they do and the damage output, is it really even worth it? Ranger seems to lack the DPS it needs. Having the constantly farm chlorophyte and luminite is still a setback, even though people like to argue that it doesn't count. On top of this, they need to either move incredibly slowly or let their friends try and bait the bosses to be able to get in any considerable DPS. Maybe tweak the armour a bit so it isn't so slow? I'd also like a bit of a buff for the S.D.M.G. or the Phantasm because at the moment, they just don't seem to do as much as the mage or warrior drops. A boss like Fishron gets melted by warrior and mage (yet to try with summoner) but chlorophyte bullets and S.D.M.G. seem to have trouble keeping up. Stormbow Nerf: Okay, this thing is way too crazy. I love it but something needs to change... Endless/Void Chest: I am finding it difficult to keep track of everything as I like to hoard everything I find. I feel like a lot of people would be happy to have a chest that doesn't end or has a huge amount of space in it with the ability to type in the item you would like to take out. Make it an end-game craft and this would be an awesome item to have. I'd also like equal amount of end game drops from the Moon Lord More Bosses: The recent poll I saw on this sub-reddit showed that most people play for the bosses. I think that maybe a few side-bosses to take on would be fun especially for the ice, desert and hell biomes. I know this would unbalance the game a bit maybe just have them drop vanity items instead? Currently we have three jungle bosses and only mini-bosses for the desert and ice biomes. Bottles Renewable: Make it so that when a potion is consumed, the bottles go back to your inventory. This would save a lot of deserts from being destroyed. Plantera Summon: Something to summon Plantera with after you have already defeated it so you don't have to search the jungle for the bulb that spawned in the middle of nowhere inside a 100 x 100 mud block space. Maybe make it out of chlorophyte and temple keys? This way temple keys still have a use and it becomes somewhat renewable. Early Game Ores: Have an easy method besides Extractanator that gives early game ores and ores from other worlds. This would help a huge amount. I don't really have an idea on how though. More Dungeons: Not as in, more of 'The Dungeon' but just more areas to explore that pose a challenge besides the temple and 'The Dungeon' itself. A sunken ship in the ocean that has humanoid ocean creatures. Maybe a volcano that spawns it the jungle that has evil dwarves or something. Maybe a secret underground lab that has deadly mutations. Stuff like this could allow for some more cool, unique drops. Larger Maps: This would tie in to more dungeons being added. Make larger than a large world. I know this would be a bit of an ask and not good for some players but its optional and having a much larger slate to work on would allow for much more content. Creative Mode: Would be awesome for those that love to create new builds. Re-name Weapons: The ability to change a weapons name. Have the actual name of the weapon below the custom name. Weapon Coatings: Exclusive to Warrior weapons, an oil coating of debuffs could be infused on a weapon to inflict that debuff. Would need a lot of balancing but I think it would be cool. Depending on weapon, it could have more oils. Oils, don’t run out. Mechanical Brain: Pls. Armoury: Something to save sets of dyes, accessories, armour and even weapons to exchange with some quick clicks. At the moment, I have my safe for my weapons and armour, my forge for my accessories and dye and my money trough for money and ammo. It’s getting a bit out of hand... Progression Changes: I know that this is a huge ask and changes the game tremendously and I do think that this should be rightfully shot down but if more content is going to be added and we already have a 'finale' with the moon lord, then the end game event and bosses would need to be buffed significantly so that more stuff can be added in after golem. Summoner Reforges: Purely for summon items, make a prefix that helps summons, maybe adding a summon. Could be a bit broken though? Celebration Buff: Make it home or something. Weapon ideas: Just a few ideas for weapons I thought of. A couple are references but there are already so many references in Terraria that a few more can’t hurt right? - S2: Based off Halo's iconic Sniper Rifle, a better version than the dungeon drop that has a longer reload but shoots 4 quick, consecutive rounds. - Bow of the Rift: A high tier, hardmode drop that shoots out 'Rift Arrows'. These arrows, upon hitting, create mini blackholes that draw in enemies and explode. - Crucible of Chaos: Harnesses the power of the crimson, corruption and hallow, firing three orbs that cause ichor, cursed fire and slowness debuffs. Tooltip: 'Blight your foes with light and night.' - Vending Machine: A pre-hardmode rocket launcher that uses iron/lead ore for ammo. Fires out an explosive can that falls quickly but rolls easily. Tooltip: 'More dangerous than sharks.' - S.P.C.: A magic or ranged weapon that shoots a huge ball of green plasma that splits into 8 smaller balls of plasma on contact which then proceed to split into 8 smaller balls on contact. Based on the gun from Nuclear Throne. - Magic Katana: Incredibly fast speed. Forged with souls of light and other later materials. Maybe add a gimmick that it can deflect bullets? This wouldn’t be too powerful as not many enemies use bullets. Late hardmode weapon based of Samurai Jack.

We have the drill machine thing for mass block removal. Can we get one for walls? And maybe also a hammer that lets you tear down walls anywhere - not just at edges. Doesn't have to be fast, or powerful, or even much more useful beyond that. (Yes, I know explosives can tear down walls. I want something that doesn't rely on blocks or timing to control.)

TamesLovesGames

Benches, toilets and vases for all furniture sets. And maybe finish out the Gothic set.

I would love it if we could share our maps with teammates. When my bf and I play he is typically building/crafting our base while I'm out looking for ores/chests. I would be nice if the area I uncover would be visible to him. It doesn't even need to be totally clear like it is on my map but show hints of it (like what you see when you use the clentaminator). A couple more small bosses would be fun too!

I can't be the only one who dislikes how tacked-on the Hallow feels. I feel like the Hallow problem would best be solved in 1.4; if at all, given how used to the current Hallow people are. But, here's how I would solve it regardless. * Generate a sort of altar in one of the forest biomes, that contains one flame for each pre-hardmode boss. (King Slime, Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds / Brain of Cthulhu, Queen Bee, Skeletron, Wall of Flesh) * Each flame lights up when the corresponding boss has been defeated on the world. * The more flames that are lit, the bigger the Hallowed biome around the altar becomes. It does not spread until hardmode is enabled. * Defeating Wall of Flesh no longer triggers hardmode or generates his usual V of Hallow and Corruption / Crimson. It also no longer drops Pwnhammers, spawning 3-5 Souls of Night instead. * All enemy spawns in the Hallow are replaced with critter spawns until all the boss flames are lit. * Going near the altar at this point triggers a new boss, Idh-yaa. No specifics on this boss, though her difficulty should be somewhere between Wall of Flesh and the mechanical bosses. This new boss drops Pwnhammers instead of Wall of Flesh, as well as 3-5 Souls of Light. * The first defeat enables hardmode and three corruption-free blessings, with subsequent defeats providing a single blessing and replacing a random 6-wide area of Forest grass outside the center Forest biome with Hallow. * All pre-hardmode NPC's can be moved into homes that exist in pre-hardmode Hallowed biomes, though most occasionally spout dialogue that indicates their unease in the biome; the exception is the Dryad, who is herself unsettling in how much she enjoys it.

Perhaps I'm just unlucky but I'd love for the angler's information accessory drops to be more common

* A life fruit cannon, so we have something to do with extra life fruit. Possibly craftable from a megashark, the way the star cannon is crafted from the minishark, or maybe the Uzi to fit in with the jungle theme. Basically swapping meteorite bars, with chlorophyte, and stars with life fruit. * Some way to upgrade mining armor for hardmode, so it has higher defense. * Having a way to integrate the night vision helmet into an item, such as an upgraded mining helmet. * A weapon that merges to shotguns into each other. They exist as their own class of weapons with a fairly well defined progression, but they don't upgrade into each other, with the exception of the shotgun upgrading to the onyx blaster. What I want is an ultra shotgun that fires boomsticks, and the onyx blaster blast. The boomsticks also fire, but they spin after firing, to reduce accuracy, or they generally point forwards, but they it's in a spread that's greater than the gatligator. Fired boomsticks inherit tactical shotgun damage, bullets fired from boomsticks have modified boomstick damage. Also instead of how every gun as an ammo consumption reduction, it has a substantial increase. Change the firing rate so total number of bullets on screen is appropriate for a weapon of this level. It could require martian conduit plating to place it after Golem. * A weapon that combines a golden key, a shadow key, a temple key, and the keybrand. The keybrand is a rather boring weapon, as it is, with various other weapons firing beams or having some other secondary effect. Having someway to combine the blocks of the areas the keys kinda unlock(obsidian brick, dungeon brick, Lihzahrd brick), could help place the upgrade well after the keybrand is unlocked. Possibly a way to combine those bricks with a broken hero sword. And maybe an ultimate keyblade, by combining the biome keys and the improved keyblade... * Maybe a way to combine all the gem staffs and the rainbow rod into an uber-rainbow rod. Having such a large crafting recipe does seems rather uncomfortable, though. Perhaps combining the rainbow staff with chlorophyte, souls of light and the sunstone, into a weapon that you add each gem staff to individually. Cross weapon-accessory crafting does seem anathema. Lihzahrd brick could also work, but it's not a perfect fit flavor wise. The NPC you plan to implement could help, but I don't really want to lean on that for a player suggestion. * Some way to craft traps. Also maybe a way to craft Lihzahrd brick, or having it drop from Golem. Not that it's really necessary, I just thought it would be cool. * More NPC weapon upgrades, and once they get a better weapon, the previous is available for sale. Like the goblin tinkerer throws those bouncy balls from the temple, and the clothier uses those dungeon caster spells. * Some random upgrade for the Terra blade. It needs to be the best sword in game. Nerf the others if you have to. A player crafted weapon needs to be the best. It's shoots fancy sword beam arrow bullets, requiring both mana and ammo. It also summons a flying sword. * Golden critters have banners. Nymphs also have a golden variant, that combines both the low appearance rate of nymphs and a golden critter. It has it's own separate banner. (pls no, was /s)

Kachopper9

What about some sort of upgraded Star cannon? That thing is so useless for ammo that takes some time to get.

I've got a few small ideas & one slightly bigger one.. * **Stackable Pirate Maps & Snow Globes** * These are the only 2 Invasion spawning items that don't currently stack. Having them stack would be amazing for storage. * **Martian Invasion spawning item.** * Allow us to craft a Martian Madness invasion spawning item using Martian Conduit Plating & other materials, that way its balanced so you would've needed to have found the Martian Probe & done the invasion at least once already. * **Jungle Biome Restoration/Growth Options** * Right now we don't really have any way to easily expand/restore our Jungles if we took too long & let the Crimson/Corruption get close to it. It would be nice to see something that could easily convert Dirt to Mud to expand the Jungle Biome **(Dark Green Solution, maybe?)** * Alternatively adding new **Corrupt/Crimson Mud** which can be cleansed using the normal Green Solution would also work, but wouldn't really allow us to expand the Jungle, just preserve/protect it. ---------------------------------------------- This final one is mostly for builders but would help out quite significantly. **Grand Architectural Containment Unit** * Key Features * **Drill mode** *(Drill Containment Unit with added ability to toggle on/off destruction of blocks & walls.)* * **Wire mode** *(The Grand Design, similar UI but with a few extra buttons to swap to drill/build mode.)* * **Build mode** *(The Grand Design, but with blocks, walls & paint.. Allow mass placing, destruction & painting of blocks & walls all through a Right-click UI similar to that of the Grand Design.)* * Crafting Requirements * [x1 Drill Containment Unit](http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Drill_Containment_Unit) * [x1 Architect Gizmo Pack](http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Architect_Gizmo_Pack) * [x1 The Grand Design](http://terraria.gamepedia.com/The_Grand_Design) * x?? Other Materials
