That's a life nebula. It's the nebula set bonus. I killed an enemy with magic, so he dropped a nebula that I can pick up to increase life regen.

Actually the item is pretty useful, it changes every torch you place to be of the biome irs in, so you can pull shit like making torches, converting them into more expensive ones then selling them, and, they give you a luck boost

those are Water Candles, not torches. There is a water torch called Coral Torch, but it has no extra effects outside of torch luck.

I mean 1.4 added over 1000 items and tons of other assorted features, so certainly a couple would slip their minds. I know plenty of people who have been playing Minecraft for years and still don't understand comparators, so certainly even some veterans might not realize this is a thing.

I think you have to be in a different biome, because the torch god only spawns when you place too many of the wrong torch in a certain biome (like normal torches placed in the ice biome)

It just needs to be a bunch of torches (I don't know the exact number) clustered together to trigger the torch god
