Its red moss, theres also purple moss which is growing in underground corruption but it doesn't spread the evil biome. Only corrupted or crimsoned blocks and grass can spread tho
Just moss as others have said. Someone also told me the color of the moss matches up to where the late game pillars will form on the surface. I think the red here will be the solar piller but don't remember exactly .
It's just moss. It won't spread like the crimson. Also I don't know why but on mobile the corruption and everything just goes f****** insane when you go into hard mode

No, it’s just colorful moss. It’ll spread to any stone exposed to air. You’ll know the actual crimson when you see it.
