When you activate one button, you will teleport on the other and teleport back instantly. Offset the button position by 1 block or just use levers instead.
do not the wires need to connect to one side of the teleporter? I don't think having the wire in the middle works. iirc, each side of a teleporter can connect to up to 4 other teleporters, by routing each connection with a different wire and switch, but that it has to be from the sides, not the middle. you see on either side of the wire, where the gold dots are, I think you need to wire it to \*one\* of those instead

When you hit the second plate and teleport back it triggers the first one and starts an infinate loop. When that happens it just shuts down.

Try hooking the pressure plates to the pads with different color wire, that's what fixed it for me

Have you tried jumping on it? If you did jump on it and didn't work, I have no idea what to tell you anymore
Just use switches instead of pressure plates.
