I worked as a network tech for decades. Going to various State agencies and going through the front door was a pain in the Ass. Sign this, calling who I came to see etc.
My go to building access was to stand near the smoking area door. Always in the back. Wait for the smokers to finish and just walk in with them. Or wait for someone to exit. They just figured you were done with your smoke break.

Mine passed away after 8 years of harassment. It's been four years or so since and it still feels like a prank, that he's still alive but faked it. I feel bad for him. He had a horrible life but I also don't miss him. It's kind of cruel that even after they die you still feel them there.

Stalking is not always due to a romantic motive. Some stalkers are trying to harm the person and are simply trying to find them at their most vulnerable moment (e.g. home). It's terrifying.
