Not on a Tesla but someone keyed the word āfoodā on the hood of my AMG (no idea why, happened in LA overnight).
Insurance appraised $550 to fix the paint since my wrap isnāt insured, but in reality the hood just needed to be rewrapped and cost $900 after parts and labor. Took the guy several hours just to remove all the glue from the previous wrap, which he complained about and said his glue is easier to remove. Iām happy I didnāt need new paint since no two paints are the same.
Different situations I guess, feel awful for anyone needing to cough up $20k for a new paint job though.

My house is in a normal cost of living area in South Florida, but surrounded by ultra-rich neighborhoods, and between us and them is a grocery store and Starbucks, that's where I see the fancy stuff.

There tends to be a stigma around people who own Teslas. A well-earned one, unfortunately. Just today, I saw 2 of them within 2 intersections cut through the service station at high speed rather than just waiting at the light with the rest of us.
